Location and view from balcony were the best. We could just walk to the beach whenever we want. No dependency on car. We would definitely stay again just for the amazing ocean view... Rooms were all clean as per expectation.

Few things or suggestions: 1. A normal clock or alarm clock in bedroom. 2. Bedroom nightlight switch would be better if it is close to sleeping position so we don't have to get up to switch it on/off. 3. Paper towel roll and dish scrub in kitchen . I am not used to dishwasher , I was looking for a dish scrub or sponge to wash my dishes.

New modern rooms, fantastic view of the ocean and Ferris wheel at night was spectacular, easy entry and exit thru the car park I’d very convenient, breakfast was great and jus a high quality motel with great services and prices also

When I extended my stay and had to change the room swipe cards over causing my partner to be locked out of our room causing a bit of a fuss but overal the staff were very helpful and had it sorted in no time

Clean modern hotel in a good location. Comfy beds and rooms are quiet. I've noticed the room had a shared entrance with another room so you can book multiple rooms together, but if booking separate (as we did), you still get your privacy. This is a much better design than hotels with shared doors within the rooms

Small nitpick, the staff seemed a bit unclear as to checkout time. One staff member said 10:00 and another said 11:00. It didn't matter this time round as we had to check out early, but would be good to know if you want to leave a bit later

Great location, nicely fitted out, comfortable other than pillows being a bit too thick! Onsite parking was good although you normally have to pay for it

Main beef is that I was charged a 2% fee for using my Amex credit card to pay for booking and there was no advice anywhere during the online booking process that the cost would be higher than what the booking.com website said. On complaining, I was offered a refund which was the minimum response acceptable but then received free parking and a room upgrade. This was great except it should not have happened. Also the kitchen equipment in our apartment was rather limited if you actually want to cook

This is a modern apartment and hotel complex, about a 10 minute walk to the art gallery and the pier, with a shopping complex about a block away. We had an ocean view apartment with wrap around 180 degrees windows of the water and city, on the top floor, which was lovely. It had everything you need to make your own breakfast and lunch and a light dinner. The bed was king size, very comfortable although my partner found the pillows a bit high. The staff were terrific and very helpful, including their recommendation for breakfast / brunch at Cafe Go, just up the street and a great place in itself. Getting into the car park was not straightforward but not a problem once you followed their instructions. It was a bit expensive, maybe, but it’s a stylish place in a good position and we would stay there again.

The R Hotel is the Perfect Location in Geelong close too many Restaurants and the waterfront the view from our room was Spectacular..Our room was Very well appointed with everything you need for a short holiday ..A lovely bathroom with probably the best shower I’ve ever had ..was extremely clean and well maintained ..The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful highly recommended this Hotel will definitely be staying there again …

The location was very convenient to the Supermarket and shops. We particularly liked the great range of fish at Bay city fisheries at 138 Malop Street. It was easy to walk along the waterfront and a bit further to the Botanical Gardens. A short walk to and from the French restaurant La Cachette down near the waterfront. We were on the 9th floor so had good views over the shops and out to the Bay. The weather was cool so we didn't get to sit out on the spacious balcony. We didn't use the washing machine but one machine between 2 units is a good idea. The Reception staff were always smiling and helpful. The car park -at additional cost - underneath the building was good to have and made unloading suitcases easier.

A choice of pillows would be good as my husband found his too high. Our unit did not have a bread knife but reception said they would fix that.

The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. Great location.

Didn't like the double entry because my sisters room was down the corridor, so if I want to tell them something I couldn't knock on the door as it was the shared first entrance, so they couldn't hear it. They are uk travellers, so I couldn't even call them. I think if you are booking two rooms under one booking the hotel should try and put you next to each other, so you have the same entrance.

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment with Ocean View for 5 nights which was spacious and the apartment matched all the photos illustrating it in the website. in other words, what was represented when booking it, was an accurate representation. There is a large balcony on both sides of the apartment so we had both an ocean and city view and the views from the balcony were phenomenal including watching the Carousel in action! The hotel is in excellent location. Very clean and it had excellent kitchen too. There were many TV channels and a wide variety of choice. We had requested for a high floor and were given the highest floor. I highly recommend taking this apartment and do ask for a high floor. the location was superb as it is close to shopping, food and ocean. When the hairdryer did not work, the lady from the reception came up promptly to provide a brand new hairdryer. Well done hotel management!

The hotel is located very close to the Geelong waterfront which is where we were spending most of our time. There is a very busy coffee shop downstairs which was nice and there are several others around the corner. Close to Westfield too if you needed to shop.

Room was a little sparse and the TV was not functioning correctly at the time we stayed. I am sure the hotel has fixed this last issue very quickly tho!
