From the time we checked in, we knew we were in for a comfy Stay. The young man at the desk was so very friendly. The room was wonderful. Bed and pillows very soft and comfortable. Everything was very close, train tram, uber , restaurants, wine bars.. Our son lives not 2 mins walk away, so we will most definitely be back. The Cullen will be our go to place to stay every trip to Melbourne from now on. Thankyou to everyone.

The glass around the bathroom. Although it looked good, there wasn't any privacy. The room was a little bit on the dusty side. But these points are only being picky. Didn't affect our stay.

We didn't have breakfast as my husband was fasting to attend the Alfred Hospital for a medical procedure but did enjoy room service dinner from the Asian restuarant. The location was very good and not far from the Alfred. The bed was comfy and the room was very quite considering we where on Commercial Road.

There was no remote for the t.v. in the room rang reception and they said they would bring one up, had to ring an hour later to find out where it was, the receptionist did bring one up straight away after 2nd phone call. While looking for remote we found a water bottle under the bed and there was also a lot if dust under bed. There was no cloth in the kitchnette area to be able to wipe down the benches or table

I loved the art and the "story" of the hotel. The Cullen artwork around the hotel and in my room personalised the experience. I loved the art books in the studio; I was encouraged to browse, which encouraged me to visit the Heide Museum of modern art. The location was in a historic, culturally diverse, socially mixed part of town. It was close to the Fitzroy area, the centre of the music, arts and design scene in Melbourne.

The amenities of the hotel were minimal. There was a small gym. I couldn't access the rooftop. I am not sure if there were any amenities there. The hotel was linked to an Asian restaurant. I was not sure what we were expected to do for breakfast. The reception could have done more on arrival to advise me of what the hotel offers. Directions to the local supermarket would have been good.

Really well set up room and facilities. Little kitchen and food area. Great location next to the superb Prahran Markets (great food options). Gym was small but well kept and good basic equipment. We really enjoyed the stay. The Dim Sum at the restaurant next door/linked to the premises) was expensive but really good too.

Ok the night club down the road did keep me/us awake. And when you come in from the main Street the closed and shut down part of the hotel was off putting (it definitely doesn’t reflect the good rooms and service inside.

Convenient location near the railway station and with many nearby restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed visiting the Prahran Market which was just across the road. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. They gave me some bubble wrap, scissors and tape so that I could wrap up some things to put into my luggage. :-)

Rooms were in a modern style - the bathroom had opaque glass walls; the shower did not have a door which resulted in water splashing out and the artwork was different.

The beds were very comfortable and spacious and the art was amazing and it felt very homely and comfortable and had all the requirements we needed. The location was great as very close to the train station which was fantastic when getting back late from the city and the cafes and markets. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. Unfortunately we were only there for one night and would have loved to explore St Kilda beach and more of the local area and will be booking in the future. The whole experience was top notch.

There was nothing that we did not like.

modern hotel with good amenities

goofy opaque glass bathroom door which was weird for family all staying in same room. Didn't really figure out Prahram which is supposed to be this hip cool place. Market was closed when we got there wednesday. We think there might be a cool part of the town somewhere- maybe at the other end of the street but we never got to that. The area right around the hotel was not very vibrant so don't expect cool cafes, bars or boutiques right there. Walking distance to woolies and fast food. But the public transport to downtown was easy enough so location was good if you don't care about being in CBD.

The location is excellent as it is close to Chapel St Windsor, which has great restaurants, and to Greville St Prahran, which has great shopping/ food. Also across the road from Prahan Market which sells lots of delicious food for breakfast/ lunch. Close to train station and trams/ buses too. Very easy to get to city. Front desk manned 24/7 and they were always helpful.

Minimal cultery and plates provided. No breadboard. Very basic kitchen/kitchette. No laundry inside the room.

The location is excellent. Opposite Prahran market, tram, train and bus transport at the doorstep. The staff were super friendly throughout our stay. The room was really spacious - a lovely surprise. And the little kitchenette is a bonus. The room was really soundproof.

Saturday night is party night in Prahran. If you are looking for a quiet night, ask for a room at the back of the property. Not sure about the glass wall around the bathroom. When we arrived, there was a bad smell in the bathroom. A call to reception and within 10 minutes the bathroom was cleaned and the smell never returned.

It was big value for money and just was a cozy private room, felt good and uplifting to be in such a place. and the shower pressure was absolutely awesome! like a car hose pressure washer!

much appreciate the mini fridge but wish it was bigger. the ice freezer Inside it was very small and in general we could fit much in there if we were to stay a few nights but that’s not a big deal. the A/C controller was. very small, hard to read and was right at the entry door, so made it difficult to try to read the screen and if someone were to open the door you would probably hurt yourself.
