Fabulous newly established hotel in a great location for visitors to Melbourne, between two well-serviced tram stops. Rooms are fresh, spacious and well equipped. Our balcony studio was perfect for our one-week stay. Excellent restaurant - a hidden treasure. Menu is varied for dietary requirements and everything superb in presentation and taste. Lots of other bars, restaurants, cafes nearby. Friendly and responsive staff. Highly recommended.

We stayed while the hotel was still gearing up, so only coffee and croissants available for breakfast, and dinner only four nights a week, so we’re looking forward to greater availability for our next visit.

The hotel and the room we had exceeded expectations - modern and clean. The bar/restaurant was very good for breakfast, morning coffees, and lunch. Room was well appointed. Bathroom fittings all modern. We didn't have a need to use the little kitchenette, but it would have been very easy to do some in-room cooking for breakfast or tea. Situated just a 5 minute walk from Albert Park. Right on St Kilda Rd so plenty of trams to get into the city if needed. Staff very friendly. We were anxious to get into the room when we arrived - before 2pm - and the room was ready for us.

Only a short stay - all was good.

pretty view once the sunsets! unfortunately i wasn't high enough to see the ocean and during the day, you're pretty much staring at Gray buildings, but the sky was extremely pretty at sunset then night, i appreciated it a lot. bed was extremely comfy, heaps of pillows. staff was kind assisting my enquiries and helped when i couldn't work the ac

there was no conditioner or shampoo, couldn't be bothered asking for it since i was only there one night. if you're better than me, you'll ask, staff will help. i don't really trust mini fridges in hotels, the one in my room wasn't anymore comforting admittedly

We liked the location. The room was very clean and beds were super comfortable. We did not have breakfast there at the hotel, therefore cannot comment. But we did order dinner on the Saturday night, which was delicious! The chef was very obliging and catered for my sister inlaw and I as the kitchen was closing. We were extremely appreciative.

We were not happy about the amount of time it took to book us in. We were left to be managed by one staff member whilst the other staff member stated her computer was not working, and stood looking on her personal mobile phone. We were in a hurry and so were the couple behind us. When asked by the couple behind us if they could get their keys as they were late for an event, she did that for them, but did not offer this for us in the same situation.

Close by tram station. Good sized room. Restaurant and bar attached to the accommodation. Room had a small kitchen.

When we checked in we found out that secure parking on site costs $40 a night. That wasn’t advertised on their website. A pricey shock. It was a bit confusing as we booked under Naima Hotel, however it is now the Mercure Hotel. Very confusing when trying to find the hotel. However, the restaurant/ bar is still called Naima. Even though there was a small kitchen, there was no utensils or pans etc to cook with.

Location great. Clean. Quiet and total blockout of light for sleeping. Bed firm and comfortable. Coffee machine with pods. Staffed 24/7. Shower has good glass door so you are closed in and stay warm, and don't get the rest of the bathroom and your things wet.

No milk frother for coffee machine. Inadequate bench space on vanity unit in bathroom - quite impractical. No mirror in bedroom. No little postbox at parking exit to put room keycards as leaving (for a quick getaway).

Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant food was good. Location suited our requirements (ie opposite US Consulate). The gym, kitchenette and guest laundry were also features for my selecting this hotel. I also like having a separate living area and bedroom, and the small balcony was an added bonus, especially to let in some fresh air.

I have no complaints. Although I would have liked a slightly larger living area, I was not expecting anything bigger.

The staff are awesome, as was the breakfast in the signature restaurant; the quality of the coffee is a big win. Special mention to Yousef and the other staff at breakfast. Sorry I only caught Yousef's name, we chatted a lot.

The only detractor of note was I was provided a room with a disability bathroom. As these rooms are limited it meant that a mobility challenged person may have gone without.

Did not eat at the hotel. But the staff was extremely courteous. Princess was absolute gem and helped out on many little requests. The house keeping staff is excellent and loved their attention to detail. Except for one day, which was really shabby house keeping.

All good. If they could just keep coins handy for the common laundry room or even better, let the guests pay by card to use that facility.

Staff were very helpful

I requested that payment was not taken from my credit card. On checkout they automatically took the money from my card which I then had to fix with the bank. The man on reception apologised and said we would not be charged for parking due to this inconvenience. However we were charged for both nights parking
