Country Comfort Amity Motel

The room was spacious, clean and provided everything we needed. Having a sofa in the unit was a bonus and the bed was very comfortable as I find that most accommodation, we have stayed in usually have high beds and hard mattresses. The shower was wonderful and much appreciated after a long journey.

They had a restaurant on their grounds, but unfortunately it was Curry only which did not suit us. Perhaps they will consider extending their menu to other tastes which would be beneficial to those of us seeking a quick meal at night without having to go out to find place to eat, which for us was very difficult as most eating places in Albany were very busy and waiting times for meals very long.

Spacious room, small but adequate dining table with chairs, good beds, friendly helpful staff. Excellent laundry.

The aircon is an older style in-wall unit. It was very noisy operating as we had it on all night with outside temps above 30 degrees most of the time. The room could do with a modern (quiet) heat pump. Small opening windows limited natural ventilation when more modest temperatures allowed. The is no kitchen sink so dishes had to be done in the bathroom hand basin - not the best arrangement. Some of the buttons on the TV remote did not work.

Actually it was my second stay at this property because I like the Rooms, Kitchen, Jim, Swimming pool, Pool table room and overall cleanliness was perfect. Location is excellent too, few minutes drive to city center. There is also a restaurant (for dinner) and paid breakfast facility available. Staff was also very cooperative and friendly. When they saw us in the swimming pool area they provided us beach towels as well even we didn't ask for it :) I also liked the layout of the resort. The hills view from the resort is nice as well, I used to sit on the wooden bench outside the entertainment room and had my early morning coffee there every single day of my stay and that was very nice and relaxing.

I got room15, 16 and 10. Only in room 10 sink/ wash basin was a bit high which was a little inconvenient but nothing major.

My standard queen and single room was very spacious. All appliances worked very well and I had everything I needed in my room including a microwave oven and some crockery and cutlery. It was obvious that Country Comfort Amity Motel is lovingly maintained. I felt my four day stay was perfectly accommodated and conveniently located to down town Albany as I was playing in a band for the Sea Shanty and Folk Festival weekend and only had to drive a few minutes to all the venues necessary.

I honestly cannot think of anything that could have been done better.

We needed disabled accommodation, well thought out accommodation also parking which made it very easy , staff were very helpful and bonus we had a washing machine well done

I spoke with the receptionist on departure and explained in disabled situation in kitchen/lounge area it is either better to have glass table with chairs with arms so can support person when they rise, or a wooden table in place of glass top table then leave the chairs as are, with both glass top table and chairs with no support makes for an anxious situation and possible safety hazard. The receptionist did listen and say she would pass it on

- Loved the quiet location (not on the main road) - Loved the cleanliness of the bathroom/toilet - Bed was very comfortable - Lounge was very comfortable, too - Good curtains that kept the light out (at some places, the light wakes you in the morning, so we appreciated good curtains)

- Needed a cutting board of some fashion for the odd bit of food prep that we did - Personally not that keen on Indian cuisine, so we didn't use the restaurant facility - Would have liked a box of tissues supplied - The a/c from the next unit made our windows vibrate, but once we brought that to the attention of management, it was sorted quickly.

Good value for money. Massive big kitchen with everything in it you could cook enough for an army and have access to so many appliances and kitchen tools. Two large play/TV rooms. Water pressure in showers is top notch. Good pool and the thing we loved most, the Indian restaurant is exceptional! No wonder all the locals go to it!

Not the greatest location and rooms are old school and outdated, but a place can't have it all while still providing value for money.

The room was welcoming clean and spacious. Bed linen crisp and smooth inviting. Pillows were just right for a comfortable sleep. Curtains were on trend. Please go into the rooms and then check outdoor patio areas for relaxation. Outdoor alfresco area needs attention. Overlooking a junk area this requires a privacy green screening.

inter connection door to room adjoining mine didn't feel secure or safe with the door handle and locking. This issue needs attention for assuring private area in each room space.

The room looked lovely, everything was modern and comfortable. All the usb charging points and great wifi were a lovely surprise after some of the places on this journey. The Shower was good, nice hot water, pressure could have been a bit higher though, (only being picky on that though) The bed was clean and very comfortable. The Restaurant served basic but good food with a salad bar.

The Railway runs near by and being unused to the sound of trains it was slightly invasive. Didn't stop me sleeping well though.

It was very clean, staff very helpful and friendly. The onsite pool was lovely and the kitchen and games room were excellent. It was a super comfortable stay, our group of friends all had different rooms and none of us could find fault with anything. We had a bunch of kids between us - 6 adults and 5 kids - and the amenities really were excellent. The price was great, affordable and overall we are very happy. We'll definitely stay here again and would 10 out of 10 recommend it to others.
