The owners we really lovely.Very welcoming and very helpful.My friend needed the doctors and the owner took us directly to the surgery then picked us up to take us back to the apartment.The apartment very clean and new and extremely roomy.Everything we needed and more.The main hotel has such character and also extremely clean..Buffet breakfast plentiful and fresh.We would most definately go back as a wonderful experience had by the both of us.Thank you so much.

The village was a little too quiet for us..Would have liked some evening entertainment .

The staff is very helpful and attentive. Free parking across the street. The room was clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is fabulous! -- great selection and variety of local delicacies and fresh fruits and veggies. Coffee was perfect: freshly made and strong. Unfortunately we did not have dinner at the restaurant, but judging by the breakfast, I believe we missed on a great meal. I would stay at this hotel again.

A refrigerator in the room would have been nice

Honestly loved everything especially the nice workers. Loved the view from my room and I kept my window and doors opened whenever I was there because I couldn't get enough. Food was really good and they were so accommodating. This one lady for breakfast who spoke English, German and Spanish was teaching me words and took care of everyone. Inside is so neat especially the dining area and restaurant plus perfect location.

Obviously not up to date but it doesn't need to be.

We travel with out 1yo baby and the host offered a wooden baby crib, but he room is big enough even to fit a family of 4, if the sofa is extended. The bed is confortable and they clean the room and change towels each day. Very big bathroom. Everywhere is super clean the rooms, the restaurant and the terrace. The heating working very well. Our room was facing the street and I was a bit worried when I read the reviews about the noise coming from the street, but it was not the case, once you close the windows there is no noise coming from the outside, the room is sound proof. You can see in the kitchen when the doors open that everything, food is very good, the restaurant is always full. Beef noodle soup and goulash are great. Breakfast is one of the best, and if you want coffee or something which is not at the buffet (e.g. any kind of eggs, bacon, etc), they will prepare it for you, just ask for it.

No dedicated person at the reception to welcome you. The green towels, the color which does not match with the elegance of the place, it is just a personal choice to have white instead of green towels. Price is a bit high, but I guess it is worthing.

A fantastic place to stay, rooms are nicely furbished, really large, and very comfortable, it was a real pleasure to arrive there every day after spending the day doing tourism. Everything in the room was very clean, seemed to be almost new. One of the waiters (Mirena) is Spanish, so this is a plus for Spanish visitors, she is amazingly kind and helpful, it was a real pleasure to meet her. I would clearly recommend the hotel.

I think I could fairly call Gasthof Schorn a hidden gem. In 2021 we had multiple flight cancellations & re-books, the last re-book was on short notice so everything was sold out in Berchtesgaden. I found this hotel only 12 miles away. It fit the criteria & would have to do. Surprise, it was the best thing to happen. So much so that we made it a destination in 2022 for 2 nights. A bit remote but worth it. The view from balcony breathtaking. Reasonably convenient to Salzburg & Berchtesgaden (by car), and away from the hustle. Absolutely beautiful rooms with lots of woods & quality, actually comfortable furniture. Fridge in our room. No air conditioning. Has elevator. Large rooms. Abundant free parking. Excellent traditional breakfast, nothing lacking, with very good coffee. It is part buffet & part table service (for coffee & anything else you need). Beautiful outdoor seating area. It has a genuine touch of class - white tablecloths, etc. We were 3 weeks this trip in Germany/Austria, involving 17 hotels, and I would rate this as one of the 3 best. That says a lot since I always look for the best hotels. (the memory will be there long after the price is forgotten). If you're on a budget this hotel is also reasonably priced for the area with included breakfast & parking.

I can find nothing negative or to complain about.

Everything was perfect. Everyone greeted me with a smile and was friendly, location is perfect. Near mount Untersberg, good places to walk around, explore, and hike. Hotel staff is amazing. Good attention to detail. Had a fantastic time here. One of the best hotel experiences I ever had!

I like the hotel decoration, the room and restaurants are quite pretty the window view is mountain which is very nice

it is 30 mins bus ride from Salzburg, but I guess it is what it is, the bus station is right next to the hotel

Large room. Helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Second morning had full staff so more variety was available quicker.

Hot room. Only means of ventilation on first night was to open windows. Had traffic noise all night long. Second night we had two fans which helped with cooling. Restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday - the two days we stayed at the hotel. Check-in was handled by person who was nice, but only spoke German. Information was minimal.
