Great stay, super clean and an amazing property managed with love by the owner (as seen from their attention to details). For us, this was definitely the place to stay as we wanted something close but not in the city itself. Vielen danke to the team and keep it up!

Some items that can perhaps be considered for further improvements (even though now is already top notched) include separating shampoo and body wash, providing options for harder pillows plus consider a sliding door for the shower room as it gets a bit chilly when showering while temperature outside is cold.

The hotel was only about 15 minutes from the centre of Salzburg and a regular bus service passes by the hotel. The hotel itself is quite small but that is a bonus as the staff go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They were also very helpful and informative about the local area. The gardens around the hotel are really nice and a number of nicely designed car ports are available if you are travelling by car. The breakfast selection is superb and nicely presented. Overall I enjoyed my short stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Friendly staff, quiet, safe location, plenty of parking, tasty breakfast, 2 big gardens very well maintained. It doesn;t serve dinner, but there are restaurants 10 min walk away from the hotel. The hotel is only 10km (20min) away from central Salzburg by car. The bus station is around the corner. The Eagle's Nest and the Rossfeld Panorama Strasse (Panoramic highway) are only 20 min away by car. The cable car is 5 min drive or 20 min walk away from the hotel. You can hike to the same location (Untersberg) (1300m ascent) from parking situated 5 min drive away - get there early as it gets filled up pretty quickly. You can rent bikes from the hotel and take advantage of the multiple trails that go to the city or neighbouring villages or towns.

We loved our stay here at Sallehof, the staff could not do enough for us and the rooms were big and the beds warm and comfy,.. but the best feature is the large balcony where we could spend our evenings enjoying the view and relaxing....the bus stop is only a short distance from the hotel perhaps 5 mins and there are frequent buses into Salzberg , we enjoyed both going into the town centre and also just discovering the town of Groedig itself which is very pretty and unique

The hotel does not have any catering after breakfast but there are fridges in our rooms and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel

I loved my stay at Hotel Sallerhof, the rooms were large and the large balcony with the amazing view of mount Untersberg was just breathtaking.... The breakfast was very good with a great selection and we often sat outside on the terrace in the garden and enjoyed the sunshine. This hotel was exceptional in all ways and our room was spacious and the bed was super comfy! The friendly town of Grodig also had plenty of authentic restaurants and places to dine and the bus leaves from outside the hotel and is a short ride to Salzberg centre

The only things if I had to choose what was not to like was that the pillows were a little flat for my liking .. they were very good feather pillows but I like a firmer one but I got used to it and asked for another one.

The whole experience was most satisfactory the hosts were both charming and most helpful. The booking .com appraisal is accurate right down to bus stop a few meters from the hotel very handy indeed. We would stay there again primarily due to accessibility by bus and the quite and friendly atmosphere. Thumbs up.

Lovely location and easy to catch the bus into Salzburg to save using the car. They really made an effort in this hotel with lots of quirky seasonal decorations, which made it feel homely. The garden also was lovely. Located in a small town but with a few restaurants nearby,we ate at the pizzeria. The room was very comfortable. There was even a little sewing kit to use which was useful as my button fell off. Breakfast a great choice.

The hotel welcomes guests very heartily. Rooms are comfortable and quiet and breakfast is wonderful. The garden is very nice - a pretty view from the breakfast room. If you wish to rent bikes and ride to and through Salzburg, they are available at the hotel and form excellent transport. We very much enjoyed the rides through the fields and you will be in Salzburg in 33 minutes. If you wish to have dinner in Grödig, there are a few restaurants nearby the hotel.

The hotel is not really in a rustic area and you might hear some traffic from the roads when sitting on the balcony. Some rooms apparently have airco, ours did not. We slept with the window open which was fine for us

Great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. I am vegan and found the hotel breakfast to have the most options out of the hotels I've stayed in during my 3 months in Europe. Amazing bathrooms, newly renovated with fantastic showers. Rooms were large and bed was comfortable. Also great to make use of a fridge that isn't stocked full of soft drinks/alcohol that requires additional purchasing. Buses come regularly and on time. I had no trouble using the public transport during my stay.

No fan or air-conditioning so during my stay which reached 28° Celsius, it was a little uncomfortable, but I was able to keep the large door to the balcony open, and was not disturbed by any noise.

This fabulous little hotel is located beneath a beautiful mountain. If that isn’t a reason to go there then hotel itself is. This hotel is family owned and operated but it is run like a five star exclusive hotel chain. I had to ask who decorated the hotel because everywhere you look is something charming and unique. I thought the owners was going to say some famous designer instead he said his wife. This woman has such a talent I had to take pictures to show my family. The hotel is unbelievably clean you could eat off the floors. I have travelled around the world and I have to say that was my favourite hotel ever. I also have to mention the breakfast. It is fresh, delicious and changes everyday. If you visit Salzburg I highly recommend staying at Garden-Hotel Sallerhof.
