Room, Area, Service, Staff, Cleanliness, Breakfast, and almost everything! JUST PERFECT.

Access to the hotel! It is very easy to drive there, but as a solo traveler who went there by bus, it was a nightmare for me. It was direct from Salzburg's central station to the nearest bus stop, which is about 500 meters away from the hotel. But you must pass an underground passage with 100% darkness when it gets dark. Considering you get off the bus in an area with no light, you must carry your luggage and have your mobile-phone light on to see your way until you reach the hotel. It was a very stressful frightening situation. I think they should give a warning beforehand or do something about the darkness on their guest's way to the hotel.

The is the second time we stayed here for an extended period of time (8 nights). We were accommodated in a spacious Studio room. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless clean. The bathroom amenities were of good quality. Spacious parking right outside the hotel. The breakfast: During our summer vacation 2023 we have stayed at more than 10 different hotels. The breakfast buffet at Essigmanngut is second to none, it is by far the most superior breakfast experience we have had. Also the coffee/espresso machines and juice dispensers are state of the art. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly.

A non-smoking policy on the shared balconies should be enforced.

Great location. It takes only 15 minutes by car from Salzburg, but not so expensive as city hotels. Excellent breakfast!

The pillow was too low for me. Would be great to have an extra pillow.

One of the best family run restaurants around and the attention to detail in and around the hotel was very nice. A lot of trouble has been taken by the family to make one feel at home in every way possible. There is ample parking, rooms are nice and comfortable as well. We even extended our stay by a day given the location, the comfort and the quality of the hotel. It's the family that owns it, runs it and even works there at times .... is the difference.

Housekeeping was one area that we found a bit lacking as there was always something left undone/incomplete. The breakfast was good too but here again the staff seems to be letting the management down would have been nice to see a few more pleasant faces around the breakfast area. On one occassion on asking for something to be replenished one was informed curtly that everything will be replenished if it isn't there (which it was but the response was surprising). Was all this enough to make us not want to go back? Surely not but we certainly hope this is one thing that will change in the future.

Modern hotel near Salzburg and Berchtesgaden. Modern well equipped rooms, modern shower, balcony with small table and chairs, where we enjoyed our evenings. Small fridge and kettle in the room. Large parking. Very kind (Russian speaking) staff. Value for money (90+€/room/night) is very good.

The hotel is situated more or less in the field, but with a motorway nearby, which results in some weak background noise. Sometimes in the morning we heard the sounds of moving furniture (?), noises and bumps coming from upper (?) floor. If this was cleaning, IMHO, they should start not earlier than 9.

Excellent choice for an hotel near Salzburg. Very good breakfast.

No air-condition in the room.

The most important thing to note is the breakfast. The word "excellent" perfectly describes it. I've been to many hotels, including 5-star ones, and I can confidently say that this breakfast exceeds the quality and content significantly than announced. The location may seem inconvenient, but I strongly recommend it to all travelers by car: firstly, it's a very convenient hub from which you can easily get onto the highway, head to Salzburg, go to the mountains, or wherever you want without any detours or traffic jams, just get in and go. Secondly, you don't have to navigate through narrow and crowded streets or deal with parking problems.

Wifi connection might be improved, i couldnt connect with my android. Wife with her iphone could easy(have no idea what an issue with androids). View cant be considered as a significant issue, just not met my expectaions(maybe because of an early spring)

The breakfast buffet was huge, very varied, and delicious. It was the highlight of our stay at the hotel. The hotel overall is very nice, with lovely common areas, and the mountain view is sublime. The cleanliness of the place is impeccable. The hotel is quiet and a perfect place to rest. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in the Salzburg area. We stayed for 5 nights and had a vehicle. There are also a few good restaurants nearby.

The rooms are rather small and the bed comfort was adequate but nothing special

- very helpful and friendly staff at the reception (Wolfgang) - lovely and attentive ladies serving breakfast. They even pour prosecco when your glass is empty like in 5star hotels - amazingly delicious food cooked with love to details and quality products - fully renovated hotel and clean rooms with quality beds and bed linen - the owners of hotel gave us a bottle of prosecco with greeting cards and small chocolates for NY - the owner organised fireworks at the NY to please the guests - very beautiful area with mountain views from the balconies. Free parking - very convenient location of the hotel. A bus stop in 3 minutes walking distance with a direct connection to Salzburg downtown
