Relatively good breakfast. Rooms were reasonably spacy and clean. We reached a bit earlier than the official check in time, but the room was already ready for us, so we could check in early. Also, the hotel was next to the Salzbach river, so it was nice walk by the river side to the town (if you like long walks).

The window of the room opened to a car park, which was often noisy in evenings and at nights. There seemed to be towels from previous users of the room left hanging in the bathroom. The room included only a tiny soap, and there was no shampoo in the shower room.

Good location, about 15 mins walk from the old town, 30 mins to the castle. No nonsense, everything is reasonable, well organized. The young staff is polite, kind and helpful. Even in a busy time and all kinds of guests from dog owners to families with lots of children, and us senior cyclists the place did not feel crowded (well, except maybe at breakfast, but that's expected). The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. There is plenty of places to sit outside on the terrace or the roof terrace. You can rent a cool box with a key. All in all very pleasant stay. We stayed 2 nights at the beginning and the end of our trip, 6 days apart, the 2nd stay when the Salzburg festival has just started. I was surprised that the price did not change, unlike in case of most other places I checked - thank you! greatly appreciated

Welcoming, clean, bright, airy and comfortable accommodation. We loved our stay at Kolpinghaus! The quadruple room was big, had a tv and an en-suite shower room. Sheets and towels were spotless white and clean. We all really enjoyed the lovely views from our third floor spacious room. There didn’t seem to be anyone else on our corridor so it was really quiet and the airy rooms felt comfortably cool too. Breakfast was first class in a similarly clean bright beautiful canteen restaurant with outdoor seating area. All round a fabulous place to stay.

This place felt a lot like a college dorm room. Two bunk beds with a couple desks and a private bathroom. The breakfast buffet downstairs was FANTASTIC. Friendly staff, as well.

It was a little confusing getting around the building with all the disjointed staircases. The room was also a little bit hot, and even though the air outside was cool, it was difficult to get it into the room since the windows open only just a crack.

Good location, parking, pleasant walk down the river into town, friendly and efficient staff, clean and comfortable bedding, quiet, big windows which opened to let in fresh air, good choice at breakfast.

Our room was mostly clean except for the toilet which looked as though it had not been scrubbed properly for some time. The breakfast rooms were very busy and noisy, even though we tried to avoid the peak time.

The property was very clean. Room was spacious. Breakfast was fantastic. Staffs were very accommodating & helpful. The location was situated just few minutes walk to the train/bus station and it was near to the shops/ restaurants.

It was more than 26C when we came, there was no fan in the room, so we had to open the windows at night. No electric kettle.

Location is great, just near the river, 30 min by foot or 10 by bike to the city centre. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Parking is available at no extra cost. Breakfast is very good, with warm dishes and good coffee.

Personal was amazing. Lady at the reception helped with all our questions. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. For one night stay - good choice.

Third bad was poor quality and it was almost no space in the room with third bad. Room is quite similar to student house: 2 beds, two tables. However, with 3rd bad it was too small. Maybe 2 stage bed will be better than 3rd bed in the room. Too short time for breakfast and too early check out [at 10 AM] - so a a lot of people in breakfast area - little bit overcrowded.

Clean room and bathroom, very good breakfast. Top of the tops after a long car journey - cold beer available at the reception - way to go!

Economic accommodation - don't expect a room "with a view". On the other hand - look at the positives above and nobody promised "a view". So no hurt feelings.

The hotel is located in the suburb of Salzburg, approximately 50 minutes on foot from the city centre. However, there's a bus stop close to the hotel (bus number 6) that gets you to the centre in 10 minutes. The room was spacious and clean, there's a parking place in front of the hotel. The staff is nice and very helpful. Breakfast is served from 6:00 a.m. on weekdays and from 7:00 on weekends.
