I loved the traditional style of the hotel, I stayed there twice, my first stay was in a very quaint room with simple traditional furnishings, my second stay was in a more modern room. Both of the rooms suited me well, they were clean, comfortable and warm and everything worked. The buffet breakfast was very enjoyable with a good choice of breads, cereals and cheeses and meats. The coffee was great too. I particularly liked that the hotel is family run, the lady who welcomed me on arrival was very charming and very efficient. I was very impressed that she even handed me my room key (while attending to another customer) without me having to ask for my room number, it was a little thing but shows someone who was on top of their game! Location is about five minutes walk from the main railway station and about 25 minutes walk to the centre, the area felt safe.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Salzburg. The hotel is just a 3 min walk from the Salzburg Central Train Station. It is owned by the Reichl family and managed by Linda and her children Andreas & Sara. Right from our check-in Linda made us feel at home. Our room on the second floor was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. Toiletries were provided. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, so we paid 6 Euro per person and opted for it. The items were plentiful, both hot, cold & continental. The entire family puts in a lot of effort to ensure that the breakfast items are stocked up and the tables cleaned up as soon as you finish. For visiting the Salzburg sights & city center, there are multiple buses just outside the Train station, that go thru the historic part of town, so visiting all the major tourist attractions is a breeze. We purchased the 48 hours Salzburg card, so public transportation was free. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hohenstauffen. Thank you Linda & team.

We were staying in a two-bedroom apartment (annex). The apartment was spacious and cosy. There was a bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower room. There were enough towels provided and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was really good and the coffee was great. There is free private parking which was great for us because we parked our car there and walked to the old town.

The pillows were too thin and soft. If you're a light sleeper, you can find noise from the street somewhat disturbing at night (if you leave the window open).

The hotel indeed gives a feel of the early 19th century and the warmth welcome of traditional Austria. We are given a room with old furnitures, eg. 4 posts wooden bed. We love the room interior decor and the old furnitures. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Heater is working great. The staffs are all very warm and friendly. Bfast buffet is simple but nice and very worth it. The dining room is very nice and cosy. Again old, european setting. Walking distance to halal eateries and grocery stores. The alstadt and Festungbahn station is walkable, ard 20mins from hotel.

Traditional Austrian decor in a great location, a few minutes' walk from the central bus and train station, but in a quiet neighbourhood. 20 minutes by bus from the airport and 10 minutes bus ride into the old town (Mozartplatz etc.) Room (twin) was clean, beds were comfortable, decent shower (hot and powerful). Plentiful continental buffet breakfast with a wide range of breads, cheese, meats, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice... served in pleasant dining room, from early until 10.00am. Hotel has a small lounge where drinks are served - happy hour 5.00pm to 7.00pm each evening, when all drinks are €3. Friendly and helpful landlady.

Kettle & cups etc. in the room would have been appreciated.

Location was excellent for us - a couple of minutes' walk to the central bus station, from where there were buses every few minutes into town and elsewhere. We were in the "annex", the house next door on Stauffenstrasse, which was very very quiet. We just left our car in the hotel parking (not very extensive) and used public transport, included in the Salzburg Card, As the weather was very hot, we came back to the hotel for a "siesta", only about 10 minutes each way by bus from the Altstadt. Staff were friendly, good continental breakfast (coffee/tea, breads, cereals, boiled eggs, sliced meats, cheeses, yoghurt etc.)

The safe in our room was flimsy (think sturdy biscuit tin) and not attached to the wall - no charge, but worse than useless. The floor fan (no air conditioning) was rather noisy: fortunately we didn't need it at night - the house didn't get too hot during the afternoon, even though it was around 30° C outside.

The hotel has its own vibe - such a family guesthouse, where the hosts welcome their guests pleasantly. We liked the location very much, There is a path along the river to the city center - just a 20-minute walk. There was a public transport stop close by and we could get directly to Red Bull Hangar-7.

We moderately enjoyed our breakfast.... One surprise is that the boiled eggs (presumably hard boiled) are served already peeled (without shells). But the thing that caught my attention the most was that a staff person smoked cigarettes in the kitchen - first it was possible to smell the smoke, but it was also possible to see the person smoking through the open door. In spaces where meals are prepared for guests, such a situation should not occur.

Perfect location, very close to Hbf, but still so quiet. Lovely staff, so friendly and welcoming. We arrived much earlier than check it time, but they still allowed us to have early check in, which was a life saver as we had had an early start and were tired. So grateful ❤️🙏🏼 Beautiful and traditional interior with wood and marble and no plastic. It may have been the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Salzburg.

It's an amazing boutique-style small hotel. The interior is made with love and inspiration. It is very pleasant just to stay inside and enjoy a cup of coffee in their marvelous tea room. The personnel is very polite and helpful. The room was super clean and cozy. I enjoyed the breakfast as well - a great selection of continental-style dishes and good coffee. The location is very convenient - it's just 230 meters from the main railroad station. I would strongly recommend this hotel!

I really cannot find anything like that. Maybe, I would recommend doing something with a smell of spices/food all across the reception and the whole ground floor (it's because the kitchen is located very close). But it didn't bother me!

Great location! Near main railway station and bus station - 3 minutes walking, 10 minutes and you near castle. Very polite and communicable personal - show good points for visit. Good breakfast.
