Leonardo Hotel Salzburg City Center

Location is very-very good, it is really central as promised, and the bus (from Salzburg Hbf) literally stops in front of it, easy. Liked the room: small but comfy and very-very clean. The star was definitely the shower: they have a pressure wash installed in the bathroom, absolute delight. :) Staff was very kind and helpful. We arrived a few hours before check in, so they have put our luggage into a storage room without any fuss. I'd definitely stay here again.

Just a small suggestion, not a complaint: when we've returned to the room in the evening, we had a feeling that the housekeeper was called away all of a sudden while cleaning the room. The bin was emptied but no binliner placed in it, the empty coffee pods were cleaned away but there was no replacement (the receptionist replaced them with no hesitation), and the mugs weren't washed. I didn't mind washing the cups, it's just it would have been nice if there was a note, letting us know that the cleaning doesn't include the cups. :)

Hotel location is perfect! Very close to Salzburg Old Town and turistic attractions, it just took a 10 minute walk to reach the pedestrian area with the dome and all the shops and boutiques and a bit more to the river. Our room was nice and comfortable and had a coffee machine too. The blond guy who checked us in was friendly and helped us out easily with the coffee machine trouble. :) We arrived by car and quite easily we could manage parking in the street opposite the hotel. As we stayed during the weekend it was for free. Otherwise you can park in the garage complex right next to the hotel for cca. 21 EUR/24hrs. Check-out time is till 11:00!!! :)

We are returning guests as we loved it the last time and we loved our stay again. The main attraction to the Star Inn is the location - it is a couple of meters from the tunnel that leads straight into the Altstadt so this is perfect for us because once we arrive we rarely use any other transportation - we just walk everywhere.... The units are a single room with 2 double beds so it works fine with us and our 2 children - however, as the kids are getting bigger now, we may need to change to accommodation with separate bedrooms on our next trip for more privacy- but with the smaller children this worked well. The water pressure in the shower is good and there was enough hot water for 4 people. Bed linen of good quality and beds are very comfortable. Towels provided. Air-conditioning in room. We could connect our multi media player to the TV to watch our own movies. Wifi available in room. Working mini fridge in room. We asked for additional pillows and it was provided- thank you. Shower gel and soap provided. Perfect for a short stay.

No Coffee or tea making facilities in room. Closet space only enough for 2 people for 2-3 days. A little tight when you add children and additional suitcases - but manageable.

The amazing location! It was a basic hotel and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable including pull out couch. Two rooms are not needed when you travel with three small children (we booked two but the beds are large and so is the couch and it easily accommodates two adults and 3 small kids). The proximity to the center is fantastic. Parking at the hotel is also a plus.

Breakfast could have been a bit better. The hotel was just renovating their breakfast area so perhaps the breakfast was not as great. Otherwise all was very good.

At the time we arrived, the room we booked was not cleaned yet, so the manager upgraded us to one of the bigger rooms. It’s very close to the Salzburg center (around 5min through a tunnel) and in a very walkable area. We especially linked that in the morning we were able to drink a coffee, since they provided us with 2 capsules for the coffee machine in the room. As it was a Sunday, we didn’t have to park in the paid underground parking of the hotel, since the parking on the street was free.

Location is perfect, a short 10 minute walk to Getreidegasse or the Fortress Hohensalzburg or for that matter, almost all the central tourist attractions of Salzburg. Parking was underground in a private lot, very convenient! Staff were friendly, breakfast was decent, room was spacious and had enough storage. Overall, was great for a 2 night stay in Salzburg. If possible, take a trip to Berchtesgaden/ Kehlsteinhaus - the views are exceptional!

Nothing. The hotel was perfect for my 2 night stay.

The location was very good, with good public transportation. The room was spacious, comfortable. They clean and change the towels daily (I would let the visitors decide if they want the towels changed).

The bathrooms don't have ventilation (we had 2 rooms). The shower drain was partially clogged in one of the rooms. One room was very clean, but in the other one we saw some stuff under the bed, probably forgotten.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, the hotel has a nice modern vibe to it. It was within walking distance of the city center, so we very much enjoyed our stay. We had a problem with the mini fridge on the first day and they promptly solved it for us.

There was nothing we did not like. On the way back to the hotel, there is a bit of a hill, which was not a problem for us but could be for some people.

This hotel is in a great location, right outside the tunnel in the mountain that leads to the Old Town and Christmas market. Also less then a mile walk from the Augustiner brewery. Staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast is reasonably priced at 14 Euros each. This is a basic, clean hotel and the rooms are a very nice size. The hotel is reasonably priced for its location in a popular tourist destination.

Just a tiny thing ... our room contained 2 bath towels and no hand towels so we had to use our bath towels after washing hands, etc.

the location of the electrical plugs was horrible. I will definitely be back but with an extension cord. there were only two just by the table at the window by the balcony. Too far to plug in my cell phone and use it in bed or plug in my iPad and watch a movie on it. There was also not a single outlet in the bathroom for my hair curler or for my fathers ultrasound cleaner. Also the location of the safe on the floor - had to lay down on the floor - to take a picture of the directions for the code and then every day when I opened the safe I had to lay down to type in the numbers. very bad design decision- should have been at eye level in the next closet. but other than those two items it was an incredibly lovely stay for the price and the staff went above and beyond themselves to help us!
