Arion Cityhotel Vienna und Appartements

I have had accommodation since 2007 until now (2022) every year, in September or October, in this hotel, in an apartment. We liked the place where it is located, near the park where it is also very quiet. The reception staff is very kind and professional. The breakfast is very good and varied. We also enjoyed our stay in this hotel and of course in Vienna.

The refrigerator is no longer functional, although the site has not been updated. Now there is a minibar. In the apartment there is no glass with which you can drink water, juice, etc... not all of us drink directly from the bottle... The Wi-Fi internet worked very hard. The leaflet in the apartment, with some information about the hotel and how to get to the center of Vienna, is not updated (the 360 ​​bus line has been abolished for about 2 years ago)

Location was perfect for my plans, quiet area, very good breakfast, acceptable coffee, friendly personnel, comfortable beds, triple room big enough.

I contacted the hotel upfront asking about the options to park in the garage: they replied that I just had to ask at the reception for a free parking. I arrived and asked, but they made me pay 15 euros. Bathtub: please remove and change those curtains, they are very annoying.

We come to Vienna to this hotel every year, in autumn since 2007. We like it because it is located in a quiet area, next to the park. We have always requested that the apartment we will stay in has a view of the park and it was OK In the past years, we used to go to the city center with bus no. 360, but it no longer exists, so in the last 3 years, we went with tram no. 11 and then with the U1 metro (we leave our car in the hotel parking lot). The conditions in the apartment they are very good. The staff at the reception is particularly kind. We have known the gentleman at the reception who was at the afternoon program for many years...he is a true professional. Congratulations! The cleaning staff did their daily duty, everything was ok. The breakfast was fine and varied. Congratulations to the management of this hotel!

The hotel staff serving the breakfast area seemed to be insufficient in number to make everything very good.

We were 3 adult and a child and we have a room with 2 large beds. The beds were confortable, the room is large, clean and the breakfast is very good and varied. It is possible to park in front of the hotel without payment, the place is safe being video surveyed. The staff is very helpful. There is a safety box too The conditioner is working good We like it so I stayed for one more day when I received an apartment very large with a kitchenette and a mini fridge and a large balcony I recommend it.

There isn’t a mini fridge in the room The hotel is far from the city center, you need to use taxi which cost 25 euros or go by car (in the center there are parking place with 4 euros per hour) or use the public transport but the time to arrive in the center is around 45 minutes by bus

Very good hotel. Farther from the center, but you can get anywhere with the tram which has a stop 10 minutes away. Parking possibilities. Satisfactory cleaning. A plus for the exquisit breakfast. Price-quality ratio is very good. Vienna remains a formidable city!

The staff could be more customer friendly...

It took us about 40 minutes from VIE airport to the hotel, including a 10 minute walk. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean, warm and generally comfortable. There are many ways to reach the city center and other locations, bus station is like 5 minutes walk from hotel, while tram is about 10 minutes away.

The noise insulation between rooms is a bit bad, a lot of noise gets through the walls. Lightning could be a tad bit better. Bathroom was a bit cold as well and heater inside bathrom was not functional.

I was here years before on company trip, and it's still the same: generally well equipped and not small room, parking place was available outside in the parking lot, breakfast still has adequate selection, bathroom is ok, and everything was clean, also the two guys I met at the reception were both kind and helpful.

At least 1-2 lamps in the room should have brighter bulbs in them, it's a bit dark. Soundproofing of the rooms should improve, noisy neighbours can be easily heard.

Two separate rooms, quiet surrounding, a basically equipped kitchen. It is possible to borrow a kettle for boiling water. Bus stop 16A to the U-Bahn U6 station Am Schöpfwerk is in the distance of ca. 200 meters. If one stays for longer, a good solution is to leave the car at P+R U6 Siebenhirten or Perfektastraße for 20.90 EUR for 7 days.

The door of the fridge opened itself. We needed to take away the ice and use a plastic spoon to close it well.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. We were prepared for some trouble given some of the comments. The latter do not match our experience. Friendly staff, especially the ladies serving breakfast. Spacious rooms, generous bathroom, cleanliness. Parking possibilities, including underground garage at a normal price for Vienna. Very sufficient breakfast, with first quality products. The quality-price ratio is admirable. The center is quite far, but the tram ride through Vienna is always a pleasure. City - amazing as usual.
