This hotel aims to be cheerful, smart and youthful. This is nice in old Vienna which is full of much very traditional building and decoration & plush older style hotels. We liked the casual welcoming atmosphere which was carefully created by really exceptional staff. The catering staff in particular were some of the most charming and efficient staff we have ever encountered, including in much grander hotels. The breakfast service which starts early and goes until 11.30am was outstanding and a very enjoyable way to begin the day. The reception staff were also very helpful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and our room size was generous with convenient storage and surface areas. The convenient location, very near St. Stephen’s Cathedral is in central old Vienna and close to the tram service and within walking distance of many tourist highlights.

The shared entrance is a bit discouraging, but the light-hearted informal atmosphere of the hotel mostly negates that, once you’re into this quaint simple hotel. The street location can be a bit gritty & noisy building & roadworks outside when we were there. The room fit out ideas were well conceived, with simplified design, but the standard of finish was cheaply done in some places. For example, the newish platform floor was very squeaky and it was impossible not to make a lot of noise while just taking a few steps - dreadful! The pared-down plyboard cupboard and bathroom doors could have been better made. The weather was hot & the automatic heating in the bathroom floor could not be turned off completely - this was sometimes uncomfortable.

Excellent location!!! Great breakfast served at the table and high quality and local specialities. The Hollman bel etage vienna is so nice in design, the people hosting us were amazing aswell, in summary a complete different experience of warm welcome and stay. The hotel and staff make sure you never have a lack of something! A nice to have is also the great italian wine bar just beside! I really can recommend if you plan a stay to Vienna to stay at the hollman. What I also would like to add is the sustainability they are committed to and applied. If any of my friends or family would travel to Vienna I will tell them them to stay at Hollmann. Just great!!!

location was great, very central to sights and the train station. the room was clean, spacious and well appointed. staff at the reception and the restaurant were wonderful and attentive. breakfast was so lovely and a real treat to start the day!

I’m an avid tea drinker and it was inconvenient to have to go downstairs to use the kettle every time and there wasn’t a sink to fill the kettle, so you had to go back up to your room to fill it up from the tap. but minor and not a big issue as all else was wonderful

One of the best hotels I ever had, everything was perfect, the space in the room, the awesome breakfasts, the quality of all the services, the kindness of the people here, the warm welcome and plenty of other details that makes the difference between a regular good hotel and a great memorable one like this one ! Perfect place for a romantic stay with your partner.

The only thing we did not like was the blanket for the bed. It was 2 individual blankets instead of the regular one covering the whole bed. Some nights I woke up because of this. I guess I'm too used to my big one at home :D

The location was excellent, close to the public transport system and in a quiet street. the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much for them. The breakfast was excellent and anything you ordered cooked was cooked fresh and you could see the chef in action. Plenty of choice and willing to make you seconds. Super friendly staff who make you feel home! Excellent breakfast. Actually, the breakfast became a special event of the day, a true moment of your day start. fresh products with efficient service; staff who answer all your requests. The location was perfect in a quiet street. The facilities were also special: from the cinema with free popcorn to the impeccable sauna.

Because the hotel is located in a building shared with other inhabitants, you need a PIN code to access the reception. a bit weird the first time but then, your room key will open the doors afterwards.

In the very heart of Vienna, this marvellous hotel will hug you in a unique atmosphere. The hotel is perfectly designed, never sophisticated, always peculiar. The personnel is simply fantastic: in few words they explain you everything about the hotel and its services. The rooms are really big and well fournished. "Style" is the keyword for this awesome place. For breakfast the lovely cuisine awaits you with a lot of delicious dishes. You will be spoiled by the complimentary services like the pop corn in the cinema (yes, this hotel does have a cinema!), whiskey and lot more: inside the hall or in the garden. If you want to spend some quality time in Vienna, Hollmann Beletage must be your hotel.

Awesome place, in the center of everything, yet in a quiet street. Very warm and welcoming. Staff was extra friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. We arrived at 10am, dead-tired after a night trip, and was surprised to learn that our room was already prepared for check-in!! Obviously this is mostly luck, but it’s not trivial that the hotel would let you check-in so early. We’ll definitely be back!

room design was original and fresh. location was fantastic. we took advantage of the free bikes and enjoyed Vienna that way.

not really great value for money. breakfast was not great: first we got given meat (we are vegetarians), then I think there were other items we should have got but didn’t. at the end we saw a buffet which we didn’t realize existed. also the kitchen is open and loud which has no added value.

Great location, super use of space in the room, friendly staff, lots of little free extras that were unexpected. Little snacks available, easy access to coffee and water. Luggage lockers available, near lots of great restaurants.

Not a dislike, simply an observation. 35 euros for a nice breakfast but many places nearby to eat.
