One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Great location only 1 minutes walk from Manama souk entrance with many shops, restaurants and markets around. Hotel lobby is superbly decorated and whole area looks like art galery, with art pictures and even with an original Picasso painting! Room was very clean with comfortable bed and housekeeping did great job with cleaning our room. Breakfast was good with differnt options to choose. An added bonus to this hotel are people who work here. Special thanks to recepcionists who were very professional and kind and they made my stay special.

This is the perfect hotel for a visit to Bahrain. Expertly managed by vastly experienced Justin Kim, it’s five star in every regard boasting spacious rooms with every amenity including a fridge, freezer and ice maker, faultless housekeeping, and attentive yet unobtrusive staff. We must mention Jishnu, Igor, Andy and Deba in the restaurant, and Nancy, Abdulrahman, Ahmed and Mohsen at reception. They were all fantastic. Beautifully presented food and drink is available throughout the day in the restaurant, coffee shop and the restful mezzanine library overlooking the lobby. Don’t miss the afternoon tea! The reception staff were always friendly and more than willing to help, valet parking complimentary, swift and efficient. The rooftop pool and gym and Indigo restaurant all afford views of the Manama skyline. This is the perfect spot to relax in the centre of the city, but if you can manage to draw yourself away from this oasis, shopping malls, a fascinating souq and the seafront are a short walk or taxi ride. Can’t wait to return!

Loved everything about staying in Merchant House, from the suite, facilities, the library, the terrace restaurant, the food,even the books I found in the suite were great, staff was exceptional - they even arranged a birthday cake for me as a surprise after my check in, which was very thoughtful. I requested for earlier check in and faced no issues with that as well. Spent great few days at Merchant and I’ll be def keep on coming back whenever in Bahrain.

It’s a global issue - the drinking water should be displaced either the glass bottles or a big disposal for water instead of the small plastic bottles.

The interior and the art pieces were exceptional! we loved our stay at this hotel from all the aspects.

The walls didn’t have soundproof, the noise cancellation was a bit poor in the room.

I will stay here in every visit. I spent almost 2 weeks here & recommend it to everyone. I am not a fan of big hotel chains I value smaller boutique hotels. It doesn’t have the pool & big gym like the large hotels but again you won’t find this quality and attention to detail like The Merchant house. Amazing staff! Amazing room! I will truly miss it. It was my home away from home.

Food could be better.

The breakfast is fantastic. I actually stop by Indigo restaurant for breakfast even when Im not staying at The Merchant House.

The only way I could park my car in this hotel was through valet parking & the staff would alter things in my car every single time. Not very professional & quite rude.

Everything was Super exceptional. They thought of every detail for things you might need in the room. The restaurant atmosphere The bar drinks and bar tenders are super helpful and great. Using only FRESH ingredients. The decoration and interior design of the rooms are high quality with urban touch. Simply Feels like cozy home. In room dining was exceptional , prepared just to order and delivered fast. Full minibar. Free Parking

Mosque sound from outside is very loud in some rooms A/C in some rooms blows to the bed directly In room minibar is a bit expensive No self parking.

The best hotel around Bab Al-Bahrain. We were greeted with the friendliness of the staff, we were able to check in earlier before15:00. One of our rooms was upgraded to a more spacious one. The bed and pillows are very comfortable to sleep on. Room facilities, furniture and toilets are clean and look very well maintained. There is no car park, but valet parking is provided by the staff and they are very adept at picking up and parking the vehicle. They are very polite and kind. The masjid is right beside the hotel so it's easy for us to go to pray. The hotel library facilities are very good and neatly arranged, the books and magazines provided are interesting to read. Very close to shopping places around Bab Al-Bahrain. The hotel has very good restaurant decoration, very good breakfast and delicious.

Unfortunately, the breakfast is not a buffet, but ala carte. I can't add more food

A wonderful experience all round. Fab staff, beautiful hotel, superb suites with great amenities, and an incredible, stylish roof top restaurant with amazing food in a great location. I won’t stay anywhere else in Bahrain in future.

The view of a brick wall and no natural light in the room. There was noise from the bathroom next door which wasn’t ideal but did not detract from the overall great experience.
