Great location, calm environment that smelt great!!! Friendly smiley staff who were very helpful. The room itself was comfortable, quiet and the treble height ceilings made the space feel more open! Loved the gardens as well, spa peaceful mind how they led out to the neighbourhood and the great restaurants and bars.

In the room it felt that male grooming products were missing and more hangers in wardrobe. More cooked options at breakfast, for example sausages would be good. The breakfast offering overall was excellent, just missed more cooked options as I don’t eat eggs.

I was thoroughly impressed with the entire stay. The atmosphere and design of the design was great - a beautiful mix of traditional (repurposed monastery/ church - very cool!) and modern elements, combined in a minimalistic way. I loved the high ceilings and the fact that the original wood has been maintained. It made me feel very calm and taken care of. The hotel facilities and rooms felt clean. The sheets had a high threadcount and felt amazing on my skin. This was probably the best hotel breakfast I have had thus far. It was really clear that the guest's experience was at the forefront.

Complaining about tiny things on a high level here: Couldn't find the TV remote and it would have been nice to have a smart TV. While I loved that the WC and the bathroom (sink and shower) were separate, it would have been nice to have another sink in the WC room. On the first night I struggled with the AC being too cold, but after adjusting it (and making sure to change the mode so that the device does not only cool but also heat) it was very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, loved all the details, plus the christmas trees :-). Great shower. Next to an amazing restaurant. Also close to lovely bakery/breakfast place (De broodnatie). Booked a nice massage. Staff friendly and informative. Would stay again!

We switched rooms from one bed to 2 beds. Price difference added up to 100 for 2 nights. We could've spared the effort (and money) bc. the beds were attached (like a one bed with a crack in the middle). I also like my bed a bit softer, therefore had a hard ;-) time sleeping. Asked for a room with softer beds the next day, but all of the beds are the same they said. Towel had a bit of a chemical smell, there was a walkway next to our room (no.14) that echoed when someone walked there. Good breakfast but price is stiff.

Amazing sober and minimalist design by Vincent van Duysen. Very soothing ambiance, nice cedar smell (it’s actually artificial, but it doesn’t matter). Toilet products by Le Labo. Very quiet A/C in the room, amazing bar food, nice outdoor court.

The room had a few design quirks, like there is not shelf to put your suitcase (so the floor is the only option). There is not full height mirror (except above the toilet sink and inside the closet). The toilet is too high (try to poo when your feet do not touch the floor) but in all fairness, I had a handicapped room (although I am not handicapped), they told me this after I raised the issue of poor design. Kleenex tissu were like sandpaper. One ceiling light was not functional in the toilet.

The location is stunning; built in an old convent while respecting the traditional structures. Good facilities and breakfast.

We were super surprised that there was no table available in the restaurant, despite us being hotel guests. Also, some minor things in the room didn’t work such as the wireless speaker, and there was a sewage smell in the bathroom. The staff seemed like a lot of flex workers. The bar man was moody, probably for good reasons. You would expect that you would get this minimum level of service when paying such as premium

This is our second stay at this hotel. The first time was 3 years ago when it opened. Still fabulous!!! This is a small boutique hotel and everything about it is amazing. The location, the facilities, the staff are great. We stayed for one night on our way to Paris from Amsterdam. We had breakfast at the hotel and they have parking right next door. The bar is the old chapel of what used to be a convent and we enjoyed drinks there. Service is spectacular.

Careful with meal times around the neighborhood. Restaurants close early. Luckily, I managed to grab a burger from the bar menu since my family had gone into Antwerp and I chose to stay in the hotel.

Great location, in a beautiful area of Hamburg, good architecture and wonderful interior, excellent dining room where you can prepare all kinds of drinks and food.

There was a little problem with the cleanliness of the floor of the room, it would be good if the cleaner would do it more carefully...

Beautiful hotel in a historic building and a renovated and trendy area.

We booked the private spa, perhaps the first customers of the day. the steam bath wasn’t ready when we arrived (we set it up, it was ready in 10 minutes). but when you’re on the clock and your routine starts with the stem bath…

The hotel is incredible, and such a treat to the eye. If you are looking to experience amazing and quintessential Belgian design this is a great choice. The rooms are excellent and incredibly thought through. The staff is also excellent, everyone we interacted with couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.

Absolutely stunning renovation and a beautiful, peaceful hotel. Particularly loved the bar and the little guest library. Room was very comfortable.

I would recommend lengthening the breakfast service, which only runs until 10:00 (even on a Sunday). It’s also quite a way outside the centre but that’s not necessarily a negative - just a consideration.
