The hotel it’s in a modern style overlooking the canal. The Lobby is bright and airy, nicely furnished and decorated in a soft colours. The dining room and bar or on the ground floor. The hallways look as if they have been newly carpeted. The decor and maintenance is good. Our room was on the third floor ( the old attic) with exposed beams and a canal view. The beds are soft, had fresh white linen, and multiple pillows. The bathroom had a good size walk-in shower, basin and toilet, there was also a heated towel rail. The room has tea and coffee facilities, usd charging point built in to the bedside lamp, the rest of the room was lite with soft downlighting or a standing lamp. Breakfast was served between 07:30 and 10:30, a good choice both of continental sweet and savoury, accompanied with warm choices. There is also an undergorund carpark that needs to be pre booked.

The only thing missing from the room was a fridge and a corkscrew.

Hotel staff were very welcoming the hotel was warm and clean. Breakfast was very good with a good choice from cereals, warm food with a good selection of pastries and cold buffet. Coffee was provided through individual capsules via machine but was good quality and hot. The room we had on the top floor was spacious and a lovely bathroom with full walk- in shower. The room had open beams and was quite quirky, just as we like it. Access to one side of the bed just needed a little care as the open roof beams required a little care, though it didn’t affect myself. Plenty of areas to hang clothes and store suitcases. The lighting could have been better just one up /down lighter didn’t give enough light to the whole room so the storage area was quite gloomy and some more sockets near to the ‘dressing table’ would be better there was just one socket available but we had to disconnect the lamps for my wife’s hair tongs. We did discover a socket below the bedside shelves on our last day but they weren’t very accessible. We had family and friends in other rooms but this wasn’t an issue in their rooms. The lift only serves the 1st &2nd floor so access to the two rooms on the top floor were via stairs, this was not an issue to us. Overall a great hotel in a convenient location only a short walk from the main square. We would definitely return to Hotel Augustyn

The lighting was just about adequate but the main light didn’t provide enough to the whole room, this was supplemented with some lamps, but then restricted the socket availability, we needed to discounted lamps to use some electrical equipment which in turn reduced the light available in the room

Great location. Just outside the immediate centre so nice and quiet but still close enough to walk within 5 mins, even with 2 young children in tow. We had the family apartment which was a great, large room with kitchen facilities, really handy when travelling with children. Fairly basic but clean and had everything we needed.

There was a bit of a drainage smell down near our room which was in the basement, however this was on the same level as the toilets. Not going to ruin anyone’s stay and may not be a permanent thing but thought it was worth mentioning.

It was in a good location about 5 minutes walk from Grand Square, we were upgraded to a bigger room when we arrived which overlooked the canal, it was lovely and clean, the staff were great, we only had breakfast on the last day which was continental but there was plenty to choose from my husband had bacon scrambled eggs and little potato croquettes I had little croissants cheese ham, toast & jam we also had coffee and juice. We paid for parking which was €20 per night but the car was locked safely in an underground car park. The room also had air conditioning was lovely after we’d been out all day in the sun. There was a kettle and coffee machine in the room also.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights whilst visiting Bruges. The hotel was perfectly situated within the city as it was only a short walk from everything you would need. The room was perfectly clean (bonus feature was the wireless chargers for phones!), staff were very friendly and it suited my needs for this break.

The walls were a little thin as I could hear the people in the rooms next to me, but as I was only there for a short period of time it didn't bother me. The towels provided were very small as well!!

Lovely property. Room was simple but nicely decorated and comfortable with a good spacious bathroom. Staff were super friendly and helpful and I was able to leave my luggage after checkout and before my late flight which is a necessity for me. Great spot, nice and quiet, right on the canal but only a couple of minutes away from some lovely restaurants and maybe a 7 minute walk to the main market square - but you can’t hear a thing in the hotel. Perfect.

No view from the room I stayed in unfortunately which is a shame considering the location of the building but understandable that not all rooms get a good view. My room had black out curtains or nothing, so no natural light AND privacy - my room faced onto some flats I believe. Would be nice to have sole blinds or a net style curtain in between to have that privacy and light.

Fantastic location and fantastic building perched on the edge of a canal. The interior of our room was finished in a contemporary style that exceeded our expectations. It was a little small, but we found it cosy. We had the in house breakfast for €16, and lots of food/ beverages were provided - selections from a range of breads/ pastries (one morning, waffles!), cheeses, cold cuts, cereals, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, juices, tea, Nespresso etc. the staff were extremely friendly and provided great advice which helped plan our time in Bruges. We would absolutely stay here again if ever in Brugge!

The kettle needed a clean.

On second floor, easy to access with lift. No aircon, but large electric fan in room, kept the room nice an cool. Breakfast between 8-10 which worked very well for our stay. Hotel only 6 min walk to main square. Reception staff very helpful with suggestions of what to see, where to eat. All staff we spoke too, had fantastic language skills. From the email prior to arrival, to checking out, everything was excellant

Nothing really. If i had to mention anything, it would have been good to have directions or travel options to hotel on arriving in Brugge

The staff were very friendly and helpful answering all our questions. The location was lovely and quiet just a short walk to the Grote Markt and the general tourist areas. Breakfast was a self-service buffet with plenty of variety.

This has nothing to do with the hotel but with you, booking.com. You offered me a taxi service from Brussels airport to the hotel in Bruges. You requested flight number and airport. I gave this information at least 5 times, stating the flight number as EI.630 arriving in Brussels Charleroi airport at 09.40hrs on Monday 10 July. Yet when we arrived and having telephoned a UK number we were told the taxi was at Brussels Ostend airport. I would like to hear from you.

Great location to tour the city. We travelled by car so needed a parking space and the staff was able to provide a secure space for us round the corner from the hotel. These are limited so worth contacting the hotel prior to your stay if you need a parking space. The staff are really helpful and polite. They gave us a map of the city when we checked in and explained where it would be good to go - this proved really helpful. The room was really nice, clean and modern. Would recommend if you are staying in Brugge.
