-the staff (especially the Friday night bar man) were very attentive and kind -it’s in a nice location, short walk to the center -the jacuzzi/wellness center is clean and enjoyable -comfortable beds -it is a nice addition to have breakfast & the options were varied

-outdated decor throughout the hotel but the rooms (especially the bathrooms) are very old and need refurbishment -25€ on top of the 110€ per night to use the wellness center should not be charged. The amenities should be included. -though varied, most breakfast items were very low quality.

The breakfast was excellent with a good range of options both in hot & cold food, plus drinks. The staff constantly topped up the buffet so that there was never a shortage of supply. The reception staff were exceptional. They were welcoming on arrival, helpful at checkout and always glad to provide advice &/or answer any queries. I was also impressed by the 'green scheme' whereby you get a free drink in the bar if you are staying for more than two days and agree to not have towels etc., changed for any two days during your stay.

The pillows were a slight problem - one didn't offer enough support & two was too many, but this is personal preference and not a major problem. The usual problem of making toast in hotels: the toaster is slow & needs at least two rounds to get the bread to a consistency that resembles toast rather than hot bread.

Great location in Bruges. The staff were very friendly and the Japanese garden was lovely. Breakfast was good and lots of choice. Comfiest bed I've ever slept on at a hotel.

Our room was on the ground floor right on the street so in the morning it was unbearably noisy from around 6am. (Not the fault of the hotel or staff). We asked to move rooms which the staff kindly accommodated. New room was very nice but in a room nearby there was some kind of maintenance going on each morning so we were woken up to a loud drilling noise each day. Better than the road noise though!

Beds were really comfortable, best sleep in years!! Appreciated we got 2 free drinks each in place of getting our room cleaned. Staff helped us out when we had a problem with the Chocolate Museum. Loved the ice machine. Been to hotel before and definitely would go again. Location is definitely the icing on the cake!!

Can’t think of anything except to tell guests they could get Bus No2 from train station as we tried to walk and got lost!!

Liked everything about this place. Staff were excellent, the room was large and the bed was comfy. They offer a fabulous breakfast service as well. The location of the Golden Tulip could not be bettered, the walk into the main square is breathtaking

Shame about the price of the parking (€25 a day) Although it is secure. Perhaps reducing the price the longer you stay could be an idea There is a free alternative but it's a 20minute walk away.

Breakfast is amazing, Hotel facilities is quite good , location is 10 min from the center.

-reception Person (Paul) was extremely rude person and not helpful at all , we as a family had arrived the hotel 1.30Pm and although no any person was at the check-in he didn't respect that i am coming from long journey with kids and he rejected to let me to check in before 3 PM . next day i asked him if there is any working taxi application in bruge and he told me No , but i went out of the hotel i found a taxi in front of the hotel where you can book him through Mobil application (Taxi.eu) -No Daily Cleaning services for the Room.

Breakfast was much better than i expected, yummy smoked salmon. Staff let us keep our luggage before checking and after. Thank you Its a lot more quiet in this neighbourhood. Bus stop is across the street.

Wish that they had a few bikes to rent. Please get rid of the two single beds that make up one bed. This isn't 1960s anymore. I think you should invite more artists to play music in your bar space. its a bit boring

Room was large , staff very pleasant and helpful. Easy walk into centre and bus service frequent Bed very comfortable and room made up each day ... Wooden floor kept it cleaner and less noisy Large bathroom. Food area very clean and safe .,.staff clearing away quickly

Hot breakfast....was lukewarm...all the food in one container. Double glazing would of cut down street noise Tea and coffee should of allowed for more than one cup per day ....

Considering some of the bad reviews, we were very impressed with the hotel. It was a bit dated but was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Private parking excellent, in a garage space, with easy access. Breakfast was very good, but not open until 8.00am. Esmeralda on reception very helpful showed us a room before we checked in.

Air con not working on a hot stuffy night.

Vince on reception was incredibly helpful. He gave me directions to the car park and instructions on how to get in and also helped with the bags whilst I was parking the car. The breakfast room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast options very good - scrambled or boiled egg, bacon, different breads, choice of teas and coffees. Nice bar area in the evening - again manned by Vince.
