A very well-run large hostel, within easy reach of Brussels Centraal and Nord stations, and close to the museums precinct. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and there is a bar on the property that serves a generous menu during hour. Breakfast is included, although that is currently a bag of assorted items rather than a buffet or kitchen.

It’s on top of one of the few hills in the city which can get a bit tiresome after a long day. There can be a bit of street noise at night. The mattresses are really narrow foam and don’t make for comfortable sleeping. There are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby.

We ended up with room 211 (the gem of all rooms) so lots of space, our own shower and a balcony of all things?! Clean, tidy, minimalistic, carpet as a headboard! What more could you want. Bar on site (when it was open) and some table tennis equipment to see who is the supreme player. It was also quiet and the rooms didn't smell. Really the price is a steal for what we got in my mind so its a win for me. Just a decent breakfast would have sealed the deal.

Breakfast.... was..... sad. I had a cheese sandwich. It wasn't great. Just not much in the way of things to eat. However, it's cheap as chips and as such what do you expect. Waffles in the vending machine at 1am. It's a bit of a gaunt to the main town so not as central as we had hoped.

The room was surprisingly spacious with a very nice en-suite bathroom. Massive mirror in the bathroom, bench in shower, multiple hooks on the wall for towels. The beds were comfy as well as a decent size. The continental breakfast was simple but good. Public transport links were great, Madou station was two minutes away. Area seemed safe and in good weather only a short walk away from the city centre.

It was a bit hard to find initially but just fine once you're there. No privacy curtains around the beds but you can always use a towel or spare sheet which is what I did since my roommates were packing/leaving in the early hours.

- close to the metro station (Madou) - good location: calm, quiet neighborhood, nice old tenement houses around, a small park with a small monument, the hostel is not located on the main street so it is quiet - nice staff - great friendly atmosphere - food and drink machines available 24 hours a day - a nice bar where you can drink alcohol and tea (free tea) - simple breakfasts (bread, cheese, ham, salami, fruit jam, Nutella, eggs, coffee and tea) - You can only enter the hotel with an entry card, which gives you a sense of security

- I was in the hostel durin renovations which started early in the morning and made it impossible to sleep. - it was impossible to close the window in the room

The twin room was terrific value for money! The Location - so quick and easy to walk to the Grand-Place, Daily Cleaning, Breakfast included, felt secure, clean bathrooms! Overall, far exceeded my expectations for a youth hostel!

The soundproofing probably isn't the best as you can slightly hear people walk by and doors opening/closing, which isn't a problem for me since I am a heavy sleeper. Towels are an additional €1.50, unless you're happy using the free bathmat as a towel (which I'm sure most do).

This is a very modern hostel with very clean facilities. The rooms are very big and the beds are comfy. It's a in a good location within walking distance of the Brussels Nord train station. It's off the main roads so even with windows open it is not noisy. The free breakfast (bread, meat slices, eggs, cereal...) was great.

The lockers are quite tiny and it was difficult to put even my smaller sized backpack in it. They just need to take the middle shelf out of the locker and it would be plenty big.

Very big and comfortable room, two floors. Looks like small house. Inside comfortable bathroom. Also small basins for brush teeth upstairs on sleeping floor were lockers and comfortable a lot of places. Floor down had bathroom and sofa and armchairs...like chilling staff. Probably good for bigger groups. In hostel is also space for games, billiard, bar, but not know more...spend one night. Hostel gas comfortable bug luggage room and wash machines ...

Hostel looks like in reconstruction, not very oriented in corridors and stairs. Better than others.

One of the best in my experience and such a relief after a few really awful ones for the same price! Very comfortable and clean bed in a room for 4, absolutely clean bathroom with a huge mirror and a new, spacious shower. Good wi-fi and friendly staff, very convenient location - close to the city center but on a quiet street. The breakfast included was a nice way to start the day!

It was a bit surprising that there is no toilet in the room, only a shower, but that wasn't a big issue. Also you should be ready that there are no towels and locks for the lockers provided, you should bring your own.

I was a big fan of the luggage storage room, It's bring your own lock or buy one but they were big enough to fit everything and they had a variety of cage sizes for your stuff, even a bike if you have one. The breakfast was simple but it's free what do you expect? I was more than happy with it. You do have to make your own bed but the sheets were folded, clean(no stains), and ready on the mattress. Getting there from the airport bus is quick (4-6 minute walk up a small hill) and moving around the town with public transportation is easy from the hostel location. The front desk stay weren't rude but they weren't friendly either.

I read a lot of reviews that there were bed bugs at this hostel. If they did have them whatever wing I was in I didn't experience that. They had mattress protectors on the beds and everything was tidy. It still made me extremely paranoid though. The ensuite shower wasn't cleaned that well but it wasn't horrible.

Excellent location. only one bus ride from the airport. very close to the city centre and attractions. walking distance in fact.

The property claimed to have private bathrooms, but the room I was assigned to had a shower but no toilet; toilets were shared by the whole floor. When I mentioned it to the receptionist, I was moved to another room with a toilet and shower, but it was a 6-bed, not a 4-bed room. So the property needs to make sure that this is stated clearly in the facilities description. there was noise on the street at night, but I am not sure how the property can control that. The lockable lockers in the rooms are too small. they could easily be made larger.
