The room and the bathroom were spotless. The breakfast was surprinsingly rich in options and we appreciated them all. Korenmarkt is 5 minutes away and Friday Market is one minute away from the hotel.

The acoustics of the rooms. We enjoyed the sex making noises coming from the room above (she was a screamer) in combination with the loud conversation in the room next to us. Next morning in the breakfast hall, we tried to match the faces of the people to the noises heard the evening before. What a fun game! We played it two mornings out of five.

Very good location, quiet, comfortable, hassle-free stay. Upgraded to "luxury" room in old warehouse end of the hotel, and definitely worth it for the space and view.

Room needs some maintenance. General wear and tear is obvious; chipped light fitting, hook hanging off bathroom door, and insect screen detached from window frame. Repaired that myself temporarily, but mosquitos already in room when we arrived. Lots of small plastic containers still used for toiletries and replaced daily, so not much sense of environmental awareness. Was confused to be asked to "add a breakfast" to the booking when ours already included one. Had to double check we weren't overcharged.

Good breakfast but would appreciate a little more variation from one day to another Indeed, sound isolation between the rooms and between the room and the corridor is an issue. A returning comment here. Why is nothing been done about that by the hotel management? (we were talking one evening, normal, when a neighbor started banging the wall) Daily change of towels (unnecessary and a waste of resources)

Hotel was in a fantastic location, just off the main square in the city centre and a walkable distance from Ghent Dampoor train station. Always someone on the reception desk .... always very helpful. Hotel very clean & bright. Very comfortable mattress on the bed All of the hotel staff that we encountered were very polite & helpful at all times. Breakfast was just amazing .... a huge choice every morning... beautifully presented & always topped up for people coming at a later time. Lovely bright rooftop breakfast room with great view of the river. Room very clean & spacious. Bathroom good size with large step-in shower ...... and a hairdryer attached to the wall. Fabulous for drying hair in front of the mirror. Shower was great .... easy adjustable height & good power. Tea/coffee/milk always topped up when requested.

The only little thing we didn’t like, was that the double room we booked, was two single beds pushed together ..... which meant a gap between the mattresses inevitably occurred each night of our stay, with my arm or leg getting caught down it. The two beds together though, made for a good sized ‘double’ bed .... unlike some very small ‘double’ beds we have encountered at other hotels.

We arrived in middle of the night and we were so tired that we just went up to the room. When we got there we saw that it was without view to the water, but we were tired so we went to sleep and in the morning i went to the reception and the manager was very nice and switched our room for us. The breakfast was good. In general they had great costumer service, and all the staff was very friendly and helping. It is in a great location, walking distance to all main sights.

It would have been better if it was written in booking that not all rooms have view to the canel\ water.

This is a modern hotel, just off the big market square in Ghent. It's minutes' walk from the water and the main drags - so a super location, but itself in a quiet back square, so it's a bit more tranquil. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal, as is the breakfast room with views onto the rooftops of Ghent! Our bedroom was also great. We were on the top floor the windows covered two walls, so the room was wonderfully bright and airy which we really liked. The bed was comfy and we really enjoyed our two nights here.

The hotel is in a great location close to the pedestrianised centre of Ghent with many restaurants nearby. The staff were great, the breakfast was excellent and the beds comfy.

We booked two standard rooms: 119 had been fully refurbished but 214 was dated, particularly the bathroom which had a bath with basic shower over, not what you expect in a 4* hotel. Soundproofing between rooms could be upgraded. The Aircon system worked fine but was fiddly to use (no instructions in room).

Ideally located, good communication throughout the process & nice little sun trap patio for a quick beer stop. Staff were friendly enough & the fact we could check one of the two rooms in early was helpful for a quick turnaround.

The room was randomly set to 30.5 degrees so very hot initially....& the AC unit itself a little strange so it didn't kick in to reduce the temperature back to a more manageable level. Also the toilet hadn't been properly cleaned.

good location & a grocery right across the square. Loved the ground floor terrace outside with lots of tables & chairs. there is a lobby at entrance & also another large 1 with 2 sections to it off of the ground terrace & bar. the bar had fair prices/the same as bars in town. umbrellas in lobby. no problem getting ice from the bar. can check out & leave your luggage in an open side room by the bathrooms. English tv stations. bathroom supplied bar soap, tubes of body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, & bath gel.

in July there was a heat wave. I asked 2 housekeeping staff how to operate the ac controls & it was ok (not as cold “as I prefer”) also, rooftop terrace is locked & only accessible if you eat breakfast(which my husband did 1 day & said it was fabulous)

A very friendly welcome, despite the fact we were so early. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the bathroom exceptional. It was spotlessly clean. Inside the fridge were free soft drinks, also tea and coffee. There was a good choice for breakfast with cooked breakfast being cooked on the spot. The location was great, just 2 minutes walk from the main square but very quiet. Would advise reserving parking, although there is free parking nearby.

There was nothing to dislike.
