Much better than expected for a 3 star hotel.. This Is a family run hotel and I appreciated their attention to detail, their anticipation of guests' needs. The breakfast choice was varied and many offerings were homemade - jam, yoghurt, kefir, cakes. I also appreciated the food corner - homemade meals to heat in the microwave and enjoy in the dining room, conservatory or, on warm days, in the garden. For tired solo travellers, the option of a home cooked meal without having to go out was a relief. The hotel provided useful local information and public transport tickets and maps. The hotel is an easy flat walk to the railway station, being parallel to the railway tracks. But even if your room looks on to the road and rail, you do not hear any trains or traffic. The hotel is also an easy walk to Citadel Park and two art galleries.

Obviously the owners paid attention to their guests’ needs. Everything inside was just so atmospheric and pretty! I stayed in a beautifully designed, completely new room with a kettle, tea and coffee, fridge and a very comfortable bed. Toiletries by my favourite brand in the bathroom. Lovely lighting in the room. And something I hadn’t seen before - the room was equipped with a glass bottle which I could refill for free with still or sparkling water from a tap in the dining area. Amazing - no need for plastic bottles! The dining area (cafeteria?) had snacks, a coffee machine, a few types of leaf tea, pre-made meals in the freezer and a microwave oven. Plates, cups, glasses, cutlery you could use at any time. The reception closes at 8 but you could take a snack or a meal, write your room number on a receipt, leave it in the reception and pay for it at checkout. No worries for hungry late comers! The reception had umbrellas for the guests - I used them a few times. I stayed there for almost two weeks and the hotel let me leave some of my luggage in the storage room over the weekend while I was away in another city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready for a chat. Overall I was amazed by the experience!

For me everything was perfect.

The room and bed were fantastic. Great shower. The whole experience was excellent and I liked the extra things such as free water in the room and the food corner. The breakfast was superb. It was good to see that this hotel is very green. I didn't use the garden but it looked lovely. It was close to the station and easy to get into the centre of town. I walked but there is a good bus and tram service. Very close to beautiful parks and also the Fine Art Gallery.

the only thing was that it is close to the rail tracks. This was not a problem for me as I did not hear any noise through the night and I always use ear plugs. It was not an issue for me.

I initially had thought the breakfast was a little expensive at €9 per night. However, the breakfast had an amazing offering from grains, breads, fruits, cold cuts, pastries and more. It was more than worth the cost, especially to have breakfast in such a lovely seating area next to the hotel's garden. Regarding the rest of the amenities, the reception was very friendly and helpful, and the room was extremely clean and fully equipped. There is nothing negative I can say about my stay.

Ghent's railway station is not in the historic city centre. So while this hotel is convenient for travel, due to its very close proximity to the main railway station, it is less convenient for seeing the city centre. However, it is only about 20 minutes away total from the hotel using the tram (tram 1).

Lovely boutique hotel in quiet and pleasant safe neighbourhood, 10 minute walk from railway station with trams for Ghent where there are also some nice restaurants, especially Du Progress. Staff were lovely and accommodating, buffet breakfast plentiful and a mix of homemade cereals, breads, cheeses, cakes, warm and cold meats and eggs. Worth the charge. Nice gym and sauna and quiet garden / conservatory to sit in. Room 16 (superb room) is a lovely room with a terrace to sit out on in the evening, spa bath and fridge. 4 x EV car chargers. Remember your EV charging card, Octopus Electroverse works well and only 25pKW. Could not hear trains in rooms looking over rear garden. Overall, excellent quiet and relaxed hotel for singles, couples and small groups of friends. Fully recommend this hotel.

Overnight parking charge when plenty of spaces during our stay and can park free outside on street. Although this would not put us off returning to this hotel.

The wonderful room was very nice and we had plenty of room. The bathroom with a whirlpool was perfect. The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. It was a 10-minute walk from the train station.

Due to the lights outside of the hotel, the room was not very dark at night. It was also a little bit noisy, for example, you heard the train and the air conditioning. When we arrived at the hotel there were earplugs with the other toiletries. I think the hotel knows this is a problem with the room. The breakfast was very nice and there was a good diversity but the price of the breakfast was expensive 18 euros a day a person.

This was such a charming place! I especially appreciated the friendly smiles I was greeted with upon arrival. I was tired from my trip and they offered to show me around the kitchen and help heat up one of the homemade meals they have to offer their guests. My room was very clean and the bathroom was nice and modern. The location is convenient if you are traveling by train. The fresh baked bread and jam they offer for breakfast is amazing!

Breakfast was too expensive for me to have every day. I wanted to but couldn't justify spending that much.

It's a really lovely place. Very clean, very nice staff, good breakfast spread, big room, nice bathtub. It looks really lovely, the neighborhood it's in is very green and pretty. It's close to public transport or half an hour of walk away from the city center, which isn't too bad. I enjoyed my stay a lot. Also, the pillows were really good, not the super fluffy stuff that gets squished immediately. And I really enjoyed that there weren't any small plastic containers at breakfast.

The only downside of this hotel are the thin walls :P. I had a group of women from the UK next door that were celebrating way into the night and I could hear them pretty well. Also it's close to a train track and I could hear the trains at night. For me the trains aren't a big issue, I could sleep just fine. They also offer ear plugs, so there's that.

Lot of parking space, very nice breakfast. Also located in walking distance from the main railway station. There are trams and buses in front of the station so access to both in and outside Ghent is super convenient. Nice air circulation of the rooms. I highly appreciated the "food corner" which consists of a fridge/freezer with some home prepared meals you can take at any time of the day (super nice for later arrivals). There is also fridge with selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks (Belgian beer! :-) )

The hotel is located right next to the railway corridor. There is a small sound barrier and some trees between the hotel and the tracks but this doesn't block all sounds. I slept very well but then my home is located close to railway tracks and I am used to the sounds. Might be less convenient for very light sleepers.

Beds and pillows were comfortable. Ready to heat home made meals available in the dining area outside of meal times. Good personal hygiene products available to use in the rooms. Sauna and gym facilities available on site. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

It's not that I didn't like it but I can see that some people will feel that the noise from the railway 50m away will be annoying. To others it will put them to sleep. Also, the hotel is a fair walking distance from the main city centre but the tram is a 5min walk which takes you directly in.
