Hotel De Hofkamers

The hotel is fairly central and good for our needs as we were attending a music festival about 10 minutes' walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was quiet, comfortable, and, on the first day, there was a small issue, of which more below, but this was a one-off.

When we arrived, we found a used facecloth on the floor. I can only assume that a member of the cleaning staff had dropped it by mistake, but this was the only (minor) issue. Other than that, the room was constantly clean and comfortable. Some may be put off by the cleaning carts constantly in the corridors, but this is a side effect of the rooms being cleaned constantly.

Speedy response, friendly service, great location, you can see the beach just 2 blocks away, cozy room and bed like on the photo, thoughtfully equipped, big bathtub, clean, amazing breakfast, ... We will be back!!!

The property was perfect. Just FYI: No parking available, but we parked about 200m further underground at the Indigo, for a reasonable price.

Good value for money, this is a solid 3 star hotel, very well located close to the beach, shopping and city centre. Breakfast choice is exceptional. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Single room is tiny, but as I only used it to sleep, this was no issue for me.

1.On its advertising a type of bed was showed, what we had in room 35 was different. 2.The bathroom door is a joke; it's like a sliding wardrobe door. Really! Not even a little bit of isolation, separation from bedroom. So, pooping is a harsh "job" going there with another person... 3. I know that there is a trend in furniture area to show older, but the furniture in room 35 was really old. 4. Only one elevator. We stayed there 2 nights, twice we found the elevator occupied with cleaning materials. Not really funny.

The hotel is well located and the bathroom was a good size. The size of the bath was particularly impressive. My mother appreciated the coffee making facilities in the room, and I was, well, a fan of the fan.

We had double beds and they were very small. In fact, our being constantly on the verge of falling out became a running joke, as the lateral ends of the bed sink down, which makes for a strange experience. Also, we kept getting more shampoo each day, but not more body wash.

When we arrived, we realised that we had stayed there before many years ago 🤭 The staff were great! Christoph maintained great comms with us before and during our stay. I got to practice my German with one of the waitresses from Austria. Very handy for seafront, City centre and parks.

Nothing! We will hopefully stay there again for visiting our Belgian Auntie.

Nice cozy hotel, super friendly staff, excellent clean room and bathroom with all amenities (dryer, soaps, shampoo etc..). The hotel is very close to Ostend center and the beach, while the hotel is located in a quiet street, so no issues from any outdoor noises. The staff went above and beyond to provide breakfast, served at the table (No buffet during this Covid period).

Some internal noises from waste water and elevator can perhaps be experienced as a bit disturbing, but only when you are a very light sleeper and with all doors open.

Located near the casino, in the centre of Ostend. Very clean, cosy hotel room. Extended breakfast.

It was the final day of a heat wave in Belgium, so the room was very hot. There was a fan but it wasn't enough to ventilate the room. The lady at the reception was polite but a friendliness and a smile doesn't cost a thing.

The staff, just lovely. The room, whilst not luxurious was comfortable and clean. The location in central Oostende is also convenient, and within walking distance of the train station (10-15 min).

Nothing to dislike; I will stay here again when in Oostende.
