It was a nice property with pretty clean room. The best is the location in the middle of Copa Cabaña and Ipanema beaches, also Fort Copa Cabaña is just 2-3 minutes walk. Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is delicious a lot of fruits, fresh baked goods and etc. Air conditioning is super cooling. And most important the safe district.

The hotel itself is a bit old and maybe need to do some refreshing works inside. The noises in plumbing and the soundproofing should be fixed.

Great location, friendly staff, very nice breakfast

The mattress felt like it was old and worn out. No kettle or anything else for making tea or coffee in the room, as with many hotels in South America. Had to ask to borrow a couple of wine glasses that had to be returned as soon as possible. Should have these as standard in all rooms.

The room had a large king size bed and single bed so it was very spacious. The hotel is located in close proximity to both Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. There is also a supermarket located down the road.

There were three towels and only one towel didn't have stains on it.

Very good value for money considering the location. Was able to use the pool area and shower on the top roof after check out which was half the reason for staying here as I had a late evening flight.

Very conveniently located at the juncture of Copacabana and Ipanema. Close to beach and plenty botecos and restaurants within walking distance. Super clean, very nice staff and good breakfast. Not sure if you can beat this for the money. If I travel by myself to Rio again I’d definitely consider Atlantis. The room was spacious and renovated just enough for the value I was expecting.

Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. I knew what the expectation was for three stars. If you’re not looking to spend too much time at the hotel and just go out and explore this is a great value.

The rooftop pool area could do with some refurbishment

I paid 65 Euro per night for a standard room but was (accidentally?) upgraded to a „superior“ room on the top floor with superb views overlooking the city. I guess for this excellent location between Copacabana and Ipanema this is a pretty good deal in August. Bed was large and comfy. Room relatively clean. Bathroom as well but small. I think my room was a renovated one.

Very, very noisy a/c. Water leaked out of it inside the room. Fortunately I didn‘t need the a/c since it was August. Otherwise…. Windows no sound proof. Luckily my room was facing west. If it was in another part of the building I am not sure how my sleep would have been due to very noisy road construction work (and at an opposite building) until 3 am (!) on work days.

Everything was good during our stay. Rooms are spacious enoigh and confortable, breakfast is really nice with many choices and a change in the cakes everyday. Cleaning is done daily and there is a safe is the room. Location is great, near ipanema and copacabana as well as restaurants and supermarkets. Small issue with the bathroom flooding sometimes while showering, we were told this is an issue with the building and staff could be a bit nicer but thats our opinion. Overall we recommend staying here for a confortable stay at a reasonable price.

Large room, good location, front desk staff speak different languages, breakfast had variety (but I would like to see healthier, meatless options... there was a good selection of fruit and hot ans cold beverages), pillows were excellent, hot water in shower was instant. 8 out of 10 is generous. I would say it is 7.5.

There were so many ants in my room and by morning, they were crawling on my bed. I think there is a nest in the wooden frame of the bed. The fridge wasn't working (not sure if it was plugged in but due to the location, I couldn't see the powerpoint). The breakfast had lots of options, but it had a lot of meat (sausages, chicken nuggets, cold meat) and cakes. Some vegetables and healthier options would be good. It was quite expensive for two nights (not sure if that was Easter pricing). There were often groups of people smoking and congregating outside the front door.
