This place was absolutely perfect and the location was killer. We found it easily as we walked from the metro. The area is full of restaurants and shops and the main walking street is just three blocks away. The unit provided soaps and the kitchenette even provided nice little snacks each day. The office personnel were excellent and attentive. We slways felt very safe each evening during our stay. Air con worked perfectly and there was plenty of hot water.

The stuff they spray in the room areas is a bit overpowering but opening the window quickly got rid of that. They should be a bit more cognizant that these perfumed smells are tough on those with allergies and asthma.

. If you are for Ritz Crlton (disclaimer, I hav'nt been in one ever), this is not the place for You. However, if you look for a cosy, simple, clean place, just at the center of town, The Vintage Guest House will be a pleasent surprise. Although located right at the busy center of Sofia, the place is astonishingly quiete. Nice small kitchen, with espresso machine, a kettele and a microwave oven. Cute little dining area. Just be aware that the toilettes and the showers are shared. They are completely new and very clean. The room is small, but not too small. The receprion staff were very communicative. Both my wife and me loved the place.

Soap and shampoo dispensers in the shopwer were awkward A little funny to use shared bathroom,- showers and toilettes.

Right in the center. The place is amazing - it's really vintage but modern at the same time. In the kitchen, all the necessary equipment. Lots of antique stuff from the 60s-70s or even earlier , e.g. a milk jug and lots of old signs, official inscriptions - from the old days (it's best to look at my photos). You could play a play from those times there. Coffee, tea and cookies at your disposal. I had a very small room (I chose it because of the price), but with a high chest of drawers with probably 7 large drawers I wouldn't be able to live there I mean to be all day in such a small room but I could sleep there. So I only slept there, I ate breakfast and dinner in the lovely old-style dining room, or at the small tables in the kitchen. There were even funny signs in the bathroom. You can see that the hosts really do everything to make their guests feel really special there. Clean. And what is so comfortable in the city I could come back in the evening anytime. The house was open. One thing didn't work out - wi-fi - I was there for 2 days. . The lady at the reception said they were probably doing some work. Well as I had my own internet I did without. I was very happy with my choice.

connection with wi-fi.

There is a lot of care put into this guesthouse, from the free tea, coffee, and snacks that are restocked each day to the cute decorations and welcoming common areas. Plus, reception was accessible (though they’re only on-site from 10:00 to 19:00, there are multiple numbers they give you should you need to contact them outside of those hours) and helpful. Despite the shared bathroom and shared kitchen, the accommodation didn’t feel bare-bones by any means and I felt the amenities and comfort of the place reflect the price—more than the traditional backpacker’s hostel but less than the average hotel. Each room had a TV and the WiFi worked well throughout. The location was also absolutely wonderful—only a short walk from Vitosha Boulevard and the main tourist attractions. Plus, there’s a place selling banitsa (and they know English there) a couple doors down (open weekdays); it was nice to grab breakfast from there to take back to the guesthouse.

The soap dispensers in the sinks inside the toilets had no soap—you had to use the sink in the main part of the bathroom. And, not necessarily a negative, but laundry cost €10 which I felt was a bit high for a single wash and dry. Still, it’s convenient to be able to do laundry on-site and not have to lug it to an outside laundry service, so it wasn’t that big a deal for me.

The common area is good. They offers complimentary snacks, coffee and tea for the guests, which is very thoughtful. There is a receptionist available most of the time in case you need help. Location is great too.

When the staff had to change the drain cover inside the bathroom, we were in the room. We tried to change it for them, but the staff stepped inside the room, with her shoes on.... I know they might clean the room with their shoes on anyway, but still it's not so nice to do in front of your guests. Also, we are at normal and light weight, and we found out the bed frame was damaged.

This was my 2nd time staying here. Last time was 2 years ago and I loved it! The location is obviously unbeatable - I used to live on this street years ago and it's right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of most things you'll likely want to see during your stay, with convenient public transportation right around the corner. Not to mention the numerous amazing restaurants and bars in the area to choose from. I cannot say enough good things about the accommodation itself - it's stylish, tastefully furnished, exceptionally clean and everything is well-thought-of. The 2nd time I booked a 2-bed 2-bath apartment and I loved how much space we were getting. While it wasn't cheap, the value you're getting for this kind of money is amazing. The only thing I regret is that I didn't get to stay longer. Definitely my go-to spot every time I'm in Sofia!

There's absolutely nothing I disliked about my stay. However, if you're traveling with a car - be aware that the parking situation is a bit tricky and you'll need to find a spot at a paid parking available nearby, which can sometimes be challenging.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the common area with free coffee and snacks was a huge plus. The rooms are located in an interesting building, and the hotel is located very close to a main pedestrian street, but far enough away to still be quiet. Be prepared for a 10+ minute walk to the nearest metro station, which runs directly to the airport.

The check-in process was a little arduous as our room was in another building from reception, but the kind receptionist explained the building access and amenities to us well. Finally, a small detail, but the air conditioning unit was unusually noisy, which can be bothersome if you're sensitive to that.

Brilliant location, right near the main street but surprisingly quiet. Stayed in room 8, ground floor double with private bathroom. Comfy bed, nice room, bathroom clean. There was access to a communal kitchen with great facilities on the same floor which had tea (fruit/herbal), coffee and snacks which were complimentary. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very reasonable price. Plenty of bars/ restaurants/ cafes nearby

The headboard was essentially iron bars screwed to the wall, not ideal if you like to sit up in bed to read! Only niggle in the entire stay though.

It was perfectly located, with a balcony in the centre of town (the sun shines on it in the afternoon too). Reception and staff were incredibly helpful and helped us with everything we needed. Everything is clean and the beds are super comfy, with private rooms and a shared kitchen that had everything in it. There were also just small things you wouldn’t expect, like free coffee and drinks or olive oil that other guests had bought too much of and left in the cupboards. It was our home for 3 days and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone else. (The kitchen has pots and pans in a push-to-open cupboard. You just need to search for it)

Nothing at all. Maybe like a squeaky floorboard but if that’s the biggest complaint then this box isn’t even necessary. Perfect accommodation.

- Late self check-in - Beautiful and cozy inner courtyard with cats - Beautiful shared kitchen, which is excellently equipped with everything necessary (toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, etc.). Also, there were various snacks in the kitchen - Excellent location - Cozy room - Very comfortable bed - Adaptive heating - Laundry

- A lot of dust - Got a room where the shower was not enclosed at all. As a result, a lot of water ended up on the toilet and, in general, the entire bathroom floor was wet because of this - Very poor wi-fi
