Aris Hotel Sofia

i liked the location: 6 min walk from the bus and to a wonderful restaurant. there’s also free parking 2 min walking distance.

There was hardly any communication through email/booking.com app. I tried to tell the owner that my bus wasn’t going to get there until after midnight but no response. i had no Bulgarian SIM card since I just came from North Macedonia. i told the owner this but still no response. luckily a hotel guest heard me knocking and let me inside the lobby so I could get at least get the WiFi password to call someone from WhatsApp to have them call the owner to let me in my hotel room.

The room is designed in dark brown tones with an old-school hotel rooms vibe. With all the lights on, the room is quite dark. Clean bathroom with shower cabin where there is enough space . A wide spacious bed of two beds pushed together, occupies a large space in the room. Our room had an armchair, a small closet, a desk and a very small balcony. It seems that the room is not new. You can always contact the hotel staff for help if you need it.

I really enjoyed my time at the Aris Hotel despite the miserable weather. Everything was perfect, staff, facilities, quietness, comfort of the room, easy to do check-in and check-out... It was exactly what I needed at this point. A quite private place to rest after 4 months of travelling and discovering. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Felt really nice here.

It was perfect. Would recommend and come back. Just I noticed that the heating device in the room didn't seem to work. But I really didn't need it, since it was quite warm by itself anyways and the bed blankets are super warm and comfy

for the price, it's really amazing !! the room is so comfy. but the location is slightly far. You need 15-20 min to reach the heart of Sofia.

what I didn't like is that we had to do our check-in a 2pm and when we arrived at 3pm the room they gave us to stay in was still not cleaned from the previous customers stay. We told them and then they gave us immediately a new room where we found also the cleaning lady just started cleaning. So we had to stay 15 min waiting for her to finish. Maybe my recommendation is that they have more cleaning ladies so they can have all the rooms ready for check-in before 2

Convenient to Bus and Train Station only 5 mins walk...Hotel is small family type hotel and good value for money. I like to stay there when in Sofia as it is a nice location and not far from some nice restaurants..

The hot breakfast dishes were cold when I went for breakfast as it is laid out early and not replenished..but in general it was good value for money..

Room was lovely and comfortable. Very , very pleased with the shower, bed etc. Super comfort.

I booked the included breakfast. The breakfast was a nice buffet. However, it was in their sister hotel. I needed a map to find this as it was down two streets, across a park, then up another street (about a 5-10 minute walk). This was fine on a sunny day but would have been awful in bad weather and impossible if I had had limited mobility. It should be mentioned that it is this distance away. When my husband stayed here, the breakfast was provided at a much closer hotel.

2nd time staying in the same room between a 3 year period, which now needs some painting as there are marks on the walls. Electric radiator very dusty Mattress springs getting flat and uncomfortable

The location is good if you need to stay near the central bus station. The beds were quite comfortable. The place was peaceful and quiet.

The floor was a bit dirty, the heating in the room was broken and it was a bit cold at night.

skylights on ceiling were very noisy as it was raining heavily, but could see the benefits in the summer. Breakfast wasn’t great. the cold buffet was of a good standard but the hot food was poor

Everything you need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower and the wifi worked well. It is walking distance from the bus and train station and close to shops, bars and restaurants.
