Park Hotel and SPA Vella Hills

We traveled with our daughter and son in law. We all liked everything about this hotel! The check in was quick and easy, the receptionist was polite and professional. Our luggage was left in front of our rooms The room was very clean, very well appointed, with adequate air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable with clean, crisp linens. We ate all our meals at the restaurant. The breakfast was a buffet style and was included with our stay. There were many different food options. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The ala-carte menu at the restaurant was exceptional. We have had amazing food at different places around the world and we rate the food ( the Bulgarian style dishes and some of the Italian style ones) at the restaurant as one of the best we’ve had. We had a amazing service by all of the waiters, however one gentleman stood out with his exceptional service and professionalism. We forgot to ask his name :(. We were told that the hotel donates all the unsold food, prepared that day to a local orphanage ❤️ The spa was also very nice, with several areas for thermal treatment and relaxation. We all got different types of massages and body treatments, however we thought that massages ( by separate massage therapists) were mediocre and worth what we paid for them. On the other hand the products used and the cleanliness were top notch! As far as outdoor activities are concerned, we did a hike to Pashovi Scali cliffs and took a trip trough the mountain on the narrow gauge line train. Overall we had a wonderful vacation.

Rooms are big and spacious, nice forest view,decent SPA facilities and a friendly personnel.

Prices at the restaurant are pretty salty, there are places in the capital of Bulgaria (Sofia) where you can eat a bigger variety /quality for much less. We were with our baby girl and the access to the hotel is limited when you are with a little one because there aren't the specific platforms you can go through with the stroller.

Everything was clean, and all the staff was friendly and willing to help. The remarkable thing was that it was noticeable that everyone was confident with his willingness to help, like they knew the organization is behind them on that. The pool is with mineral water. It was clean (as everything here). I'm not sure if that was because of the clients or the attitude of the staff, but it was calm and quiet around the pool. Even children were quiet. The restaurant is top-notch. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional - no one over your head, but if you need them, someone will be next to you in few seconds.

Nothing. It could be we had no big expectations, but there was nothing to complain about..

Value for money. Welcoming and nice staff, plenty of choice for breakfast, spacious apartment. SPA is great, both pools and thermo zone and very clean. Right choice.

Lack of information on Velingrad city and things to do outside hotel. This part of Bulgaria has amaizing nature, there are caves open for visitors, lakes.... Even though this is not hotel obligation, it would be nice touch, especially for foreigners who are there for first time. Also, it was too crowded during week days, we were not informed that, in order to have dinner in hotel, we need table reservation so we had to go out (after spa). This would not be the problem if we were informed about week crowds during check-in.

A very well maintained hotel, one of our favourites. Very pleasant pools, bright clean rooms, friendly staff, daily cleaning, great lobby bar, very good breakfast. Very good service in the restaurant and a delicious lunch menu. Spa facilities are good, good massages and treatments.

There is no coffee machine in the room. The standard evening restaurant menu is not good. The spa center is overcrowded in the middle of week, noisy and uncomfortable, children sleep on the sunbeds, there is no place to leave a towel.We left a day early despite prepaying.

The staff was extremely professional, kind and friendly. The studio was quite spacious with great view towards the forest. The SPA has numerous different rooms and pools to enjoy.

The only thing that I didn't like so much was that the leather of the couch in the studio was torn in a bad and very visible manner and some of the external pool's mosaic was missing. Also I think some of the pipes in the jacuzzi were partially not working.

Everything was at the expected level. All facilities were very very clean and the hotel staff was exceptional.

The bloody Germans who were complaining about everything. They took all the food from the breakfast, so that they don't visit the restaurant during the day. Such type of guests should be thrown out straight away from the hotel with all their rubbish. The staff at the SPA zone might consider remarking(kind warning) the parents of the screaming kids. The kids are excited and everything, but they can keep the noise down and it will favour everybody. It aint no aquapark, you're supposed to relax.

Everything at the hotel was fabulous and it exceeded our expectations. It's all fairly new, very clean, big spacious rooms and bathrooms. Very polite and helpful staff. The water in the big outdoor pool is a bit cooler, similar to what you'd expect in a normal indoor swimming pool. Which is ideal if you're interested in actually swimming, as it meant we often had the pool to ourselves. The other 2 pools (one inside and one outside) are smaller and filled with mineral water and nice and warm. That does mean they are a bit busier, but still nice. We had lunch at the restaurant every day and their lunch menu was big, affordable and very tasty. Had dinner in restaurants in town. The hotel is in the foothill of the mountain up on the hill, so lovely views. It's about 40 min walk into the centre of Velingrad or 10 min cheap taxi ride. We did both and was fine. Nice walks in the forest too. Would definitely recommend!

Overall the hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely polite and welcoming. The food at the restaurant was good and the breakfast was delicious and there was something for everyone. The water in the indoor pool was at a very comfortable temperature. The SPA center was not crowded.

There were broken tiles at the children's pool and my husband cut his foot deep on them. They have no medical staff on location so he had to drive himself to the emergency room to get it dressed and bandaged. The staff was very caring about the situation, however, the pool was all bloody and obviously not safe for the children but nobody bothered to close it or warn guests not to go in. The situation kind of ruined our weekend because we came for the SPA.

A very nice place with a great view, spacious rooms, nice breakfast and lunch menu. They also have animators during dinner, which is perfect, and a corner for the kids to play. The spa was perfect. It really was better than any place we’ve stayed recently in Bulgaria, the stuff were very nice and helpful. We would gladly go back soon!

There was some trouble with one of the pools one of the days and the big outside pool had not opened yet and there was no message about it. But we still had great time.
