The staff, Facilities and location made our stay at the Palace Gate Hotel & Resort very memorable for us. I celebrated my 50th In Phnom Phnem and it was made very special with the efforts taken by the staff. A Cake and beautiful fresh flowers organised by a dear friend of mine were very appreciated. the Roof top bar over looking the Royal Palace was a excellent way to unwind after a hot day. The Front desk staff who helped us with information and taxis to our various locations to Ms. Li Na who was always ready to assist, we had a fantastic time.

I liked everything about this hotel. The service was courteous, attentive, and professional. The room is worthy of its 5 star status with all the amenities. The grounds are lovely with lots of foliage and historical decor. The pool setting is fabulous. I didn’t try the restaurant except for the breakfast which was good (not great). Loved the gym. Location is perfect for a tourist, right next to the Royal Palace and the Mekong riverside. Excellent value. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Palace Gate. The Service from sr manager Devid Prak was amazing, as he helped us with cutting short our stay at Eden beach (Ko Rong Sanloem) and giving us credit in return. We stayed in a royal deluxe double with view and this was easily one of the best rooms we have been in for the price: extremely spacious, comfy beds, pillow menu, beautiful view and great shower. Service in the hotel is impeccable and the pool area is gorgeous. Food in the hotel was very good as well. The location is great. We simply have no complaints whatsoever. Would book again in a hartbeat.

Hotel taxi service (1 way) was very good. Given cold towel & bottle of water each. Arrival & check in procedure was very good. Pool was very nice. Sky bar has an excellent view of the palace; was very windy so it could get a bit uncomfortable while you're eating around 8pm. Nice happy hour cocktails by the pool All staff was very nice & helpful. Front office staff helped to get some engineering tape to repair my main luggage: ripped from my transport from Kampot in a mini van

Nothing specific. General improvements & refurbishments in some areas are required. We requested for a room with a view. Was given a room that was facing the roof & top floor of the restaurant. Our balcony overlook the breakfast spread.

this is an exceptional property with fabulous views over the palace. i felt very safe around the area as could alway catch a Tuk Tuk within seconds of walking out the door. we thankfully got an upgrade and the timing was perfect as we were there for NYE. the fireworks over the city were amazing. it’s seems every hotel plus the official had fireworks. they went on for ages. although the hotel had a fancy dinner and band planned we really enjoyed sitting at the Skybar over looking the palace and city. they had a solo jazz musician and a nice tapas menu. rooms were clean. Wi-Fi. pool was lovely. breakfast was great. staff very friendly. Area was close to most places or an east Tuk Tuk ride $2-3 US

The “set” priced transport available out the front of the hotel is not as cheap as getting a GRAB (like Uber). example hotel taxi to airport $35+ US. Grab $17US. Cambodia taking US currency and Cambodian Reil most of the ATMs split out large notes. like $100US. trying to get them changed to smaller notes to use with the locals seemed like a normal request but always seemed an inconvenience for reception staff.

We had a very early checkout and was told by the evening Receptionist that the breakfast restaurant would pack us a light breakfast, however when we checked out in the morning the morning staff were unaware of this . 15mins to check out from the hotel due to the maid moving mini bottles of alcohol and putting them in a cupboard by the side of the fridge we were asked to pay for drinks? eventually found the drinks in the cupboard.

The staff were very professional and helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a plethora of choices, both Asian and western. If you choose not to include the breakfast, Backyard Cafe is just around the corner which is well worth trying. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Organic skybar had a great happy hour and a very nice vibe. Tried the spa one day and had a wonderful facial treatment. The peaceful location across from the palace means a tuk tuk is necessary to reach the market areas but they are plentiful and inexpensive when booked using the Grab app.

Welcome, drink on arrival, and friendly staff to greet us. Breakfast offered plenty of choice in a beautiful setting, did not feel too busy but had a calm ambiance. The pool was clean and surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, plenty of loungers, and attentive staff. Skybar had great views of the Royal Palace and was sectioned well for privacy. The room was a great size with a comfortable bed. Overall a great stay and would return.

The only thing that was missing was advertising when there was a special event in the restaurant. We went out to eat one night and returned to find they were holding a BBQ which we would have attended had we known about it.

Wonderful olde world ambience. Staff were amazing. Great breakfast, very nice and inviting pool great to cool down after walking the streets. The Team were always smiling, even when serving some very rude guests. Great espresso and cappuccino with breakfast. Good spread of food for breakfast with selection changed daily. Great mix of Asian and Western options. Room was a great size and the hotel was taking good measures to deal with waste

In total honesty there was nothing we didn't like at The Palace Gate. We will gladly stay here again

Great breakfast. The Skybar has a spectacular view of the Royal Palace, especially when it is lit at night. Our room had a beautiful river view. Breakfast was very good -- it is served in the dining room which has an outdoor section by the pool. We had a very nice dinner there as well. The hotel has its own tuk tuks to take you around Phnom Penh. The front desk manager Lina was eager to offer help and suggestions. The location next to the palace and just by the river worked well for us.
