The service was excellent. We were there for a small wedding. When we checked in, I requested one of their prosecco and chocolate romance packages be sent up to the bride and groom's room. They made it happen immediately! It's a beautiful place in an excellent location. We loved the rooms. They were spacious and updated. The whole place had a classic homey feel to it. The pub downstairs was wonderful! We stayed 2 nights and had breakfast and dinner there both of those nights. The food was great and the service was excellent there as well. We would happily stay at the Georgetown Inn again!

As we approached the hotel we could see that the hotel was decorated for Halloween. The check-in was quick and the staff excellent and helpful. Our room was spacious with plenty of amenities and a comfortable bed too. We had breakfast on a couple of mornings and dinner, the food was delicious, reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and attentive. You are only about a ten minute walk from the centre of Canmore and a two minute drive onto the highway. If you're in a rush there is a Tim Hortons, Wendys, Mc Donalds and a garage about one mile of a drive North of the hotel.

This is by far one of My new favorite places to stay. Hands down, and here is why; Alex at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. Check-in was super easy! I am in LOVE with the ambiance!!! It is old English pub Glam and beautifully and tastefully decorated with time pieces from the 1900's. The elevator was like riding a super classy time capsule to the second floor where our suite was- and oh Man! Was it ever Sweet! I opened the door to find myself taken back by the gorgeous vaulted ceiling, clawfoot tub, and nearly floor to ceiling window featuring stunning mountain views. You immediately walk-in to a tastefully decorated seating area featuring a fireplace, and writing desk. As you make your way into the room there is a majestic king bed, another large window, again featuring mountain views, and ample storage for your luggage in a closet off to the side of the bed. There is also a modern and clean bathroom featuring a stand up shower and well-lit mirror. I liked the quality of bath/shower and hair products that are supplied, as well as the robes. The property itself is well taken care of and very tidy. On the main level there is a Pub, which we ate brunch at the morning we left. The food was made fresh, the service was impressive and the atmosphere in the pub is very cool. I really loved the real wood burning fireplace and mining artifacts on display. The food was delicious, and reasonably priced. We had a lovely, romantic stay & I highly recommend you pay this place a visit.

From the moment i walked through the front doors and met by the staff at the counter i knew this was going to be a great stay. From the ambience of the room with fireplace all be it electric and the the teapot with tea cups and the shortbread cookies was fantastic. The inn has the original old world appeal to it and the pub and food was excellent. Parking can be a little tight but overall i would recommend this place to anyone. Especially those who like to have the old world feel with a touch of modern .
Parking is a little tight but there is no cost. Just sometimes it fills up real quick.

Our stay was excellent – we had a late check in time but we were so easily accommodated. One thing that stood out most was cleanliness of the bathroom & room. I was impressed by how every corner of the bathroom was hygienic. Their conditioners, shampoo, body wash etc were surprisingly moisturizing and it felt like a luxury stay. Additionally, the rooms were very vintage looking with collectibles that gave a comforting feel to the room. We had a bathtub/spa in the living room & that was the best part of our stay. Also the restaurant's breakfast was 10/10. I loved our stay. Maybe the only downside was not having a person at the lobby at all times. But we were given a phone number that we could call 24/7.

It was a short drive into the shopping area of the village, not walling distance but acceptable. It was a large enough room that we were able to enjoy coffee and tea in our room before venturing out. The bed was large and comfortable, the staff helpful.
There was something wrong with the TV in our room and no one seemed to be able to fix it. It turned itself on at 2 in the morning and then at other times we couldn't get it to come on but they didn't call anyone to deal with it.

I stayed here in the early 2000’s, but my memory of the building itself didn’t match my recent experience. However, the staff was great, the restaurant food was excellent. We ate there 3 times. Really the only con was our room was the closest one to the front desk and restaurant, but we opted to just stay there. The Bagel cafe across the road was perfect for coffee and breakfast.

The room was just as we expected. It was cozy enough and the bed was comfortable. The friendliness of both clerks upon arrival and departure was much appreciated and made us feel welcome. We also appreciated how quiet the Georgetown Inn was/is!
The smell of whatever housekeeping sprayed in the room was WAY over powering! We had to open the window so that we could breathe and not get a headache. There should be a zero scent policy in all the cleaning products used.

Breakfasts were delicious, hash browns were actual hash browns not an imitation of forsaid. Staff were marvelous. Ploughmans was another winner. It really was on Inn, right down to teapot and teacups in each room along with the old fashioned elevator. 0
Our bathroom (206) needed some door or wall hooks, absolutely nowhere to hang anything, just a suggestion. Restaurant seating in need of some cushions, chairs and bench solid wood, very hard on the back and behind, but certainly didn't reflect in food or service both excellent.

I love how it's a place made to look old! I was definitely convinced it was older than me. (I was wrong. Haha...) They went a little above and beyond to accommodate us on the special occasion. We absolutely loved the seemingly random tub in our room. The high ceiling and gorgeous view out our window was incredible. The food in the attached pub was really, really delicious. We will definitely be back!
I can't recall anything that we didn't like. It was a great stay.
