The Drake was in a Great location walking distance to walking trails, eating shop,food. The staff where very nice. We stayed for our 40th wedding anniversary with friends also celebrating their 40th. They surprised us with a very nice card that they made and some amazing treats not Only chocolates but also some amazing trail mix, and local Beer for they Hubbies and Cider for the ladies. Just couldn’t believe it, truly went over and above!!!!THANKS FOR HELPING MAKE OUR ANNIVERSARY SO SPECIAL

I don’t even like to bring this up, because how nice our stay way, with staff and location. It could use a little TLC (TENDER LOVING CARE) A bit of paint outside would do wonders. With that being said our rooms where very clean!

I had a very pleasant stay at Drake-Inn in the first week of July 2023. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious and had a lovely view. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Though there is no AC in the room, but it was not at all needed, as the weather was pretty pleasant and we didn't even have to use the fan. The location is awesome as its right next to a major bus stop of the town. As we were travelling without a car, the closeness to the bus stop made our lives real easy, as we could take the bus to Banff quite easily and enjoy all the major attractions inside the Banff National Park. On top of that there is a pub cum restaurant inside the same property, which offers a discount of 15% on food and drinks to all those who stay in the hotel. The hotel allows its residents to bring food from outside and even offers plates, spoons/forks and napkins, even if you do not buy anything from their restaurant or pub. Overall, I had a great experience of staying here. Real value-for-money place and I would recommend this place to all, who wish to stay in Canmore.

There is no washroom for the guests, in case they wish to use it after checking-out or before checking-in (in case the room is not ready). But its hardly an issue as there there is a public toilet nearby :)

We have stayed here before and would certainly stay again if in Canmore. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Comfortable rooms that have everything we needed. The rooms at the back have stunning views overlooking the creek and the mountains behind the town. Also a spacious balcony so that you can enjoy them. Although in large dispensers the toiletries had a lovely smell and were great quality. A moment to reach the town. Also a large shopping area including a large supermarket. Good choice of places to eat within a short distance.

The rooms are well maintained but the fabric of the building would benefit from a facelift

The room itself was clean and comfortable. I actually overslept. The view from the balcony was as expected. It was pretty grand. The location was perfect because it walking distance or a bike ride away from everything.

The outer building of the hotel needs TLC and cleaning. My balcony sliding door was hard to open and close. The room walls were too plain. It needs a bit of decor, color, or photos. The office closed at 4 pm when I stayed there. It was a bit of an inconvenience because I wanted to heat a snack as I relaxed. The coffee machine was missing the coffee pot, so I was not able to use it.

The location is amazing! The view from the windows is to the mountains and it’s totally awesome to wake up to this unbelievable view. The bed is big (king size or even bigger) and comfortable. All clean and well equipped.

The fridge was kinda noisy, so we had to switch off and the shower head was a little squeaky so as the ventilation. But in general it didn’t matter because when you’re in mountains such things simply do not matter

Location is great within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants and buses. Pretty location overlooking Policeman's Creek and mountain views. Rustic charm befitting one of Canmore's older properties. Good wifi and comfortable bed.

A drawer unit would have been useful and TV was subscription services only. Because of its position and live music in local pubs some might find it noisy.

The location is ideal, right at the heart of the town. The view from any room is beautiful. Staff is really welcoming! You can easily walk anywhere : restaurant, grocery, pharmacy, shops, liquor store, hardware store, scenic boardwalk, river... I love this hotel! And you can have a fun time trying to spot all the bunnies in the bushes! Also, certain rooms have been recently renovated. Mine was beautiful. Nice upgrade from when I was there in 2021.

I already knew this hotel and was totally fine with it, but you should know that it is located in part above a restaurant and on a busy street. So weekend nights are loud, and can be noisy until 2-3 AM. There is no AC (only fans), and no microwave in the room (there is one at the register, though).

The best thing about the Drake Inn is the location, especially if you’re there for an extended stay. Everything you need is within walking distance. Snd the views of the mountains are spectacular.

The pub is very loud on weekend nights. And the hotel is a tad run down.

Location was excellent, dog friendly accommodations with exterior entrance door, I also liked that it was right beside one of the many trails in Canmore.

There were a few cosmetic things that could have been fixed (broken trim by the sink comes to mine) but did not impede the comfort of my stay. The door to my room was a bit finicky, but the manager answered the phone right away and gave me the trick to get in - worked fine the rest of the night.

Property is excellently located. Linens and bed were clean and comfortable.

The bathroom and sink area needs updating as there was black mildew in the tub and the sink was chipped and worn. There was also no extra furniture or anyplace to put luggage. The parking was troublesome but it was Saturday night and people were improperly parked and it was difficult to find a spot.
