Cool hotel in a cool location

I didn't expect their parking lot to be so far away and that we'd need to pay for it.

It was VERY COLD. Air conditioning was on and I did have to ask for a blanket but it was uncomfortably cold......the explanation was that it is an old hotel but it really was hard to enjoy the room without wrapping myself in the blanket. Also, I made a point of hanging up my towels as per your environmental policy of not replacing towels unnecessarily when a stay is longer than a day. Unfortunately, the towels were replaced anyway, which is disappointing that your cleaning staff don't seem to follow the environmental sustainability policy that is described on the little folder in the bathroom.

The location is very nice of you’re wanting to walk around and discover restaurants and stores in Edmonton, having multiple options available for dinner around the hotel is really nice. There is no shortage of entertainment in that area. I booked just for a one night stay for a concert and it’s perfectly sufficient as a place to get ready and rest. If I had to, I’d stay again if a concert was in that area again.

There wasn’t anything overly bothersome at the hotel, the windows were a little broken in the room which was bothersome, but when one of them fully came off the latch they fixed it while we were out which was very nice. It does get noisy early though, so if you’re a light sleeper like me that may wake you up a bit too early for your own liking. No real complaints other than that though, it’s pretty good!

The staff, room and location is as always very, very good. Whyte Avenue is a bit rougher than it used to be but the hotel can't control that. The breakfast now costs $10 which is a very good price for what is offered. The staff person asked about some kind of voucher which I had no idea what that was.

Maybe I am wrong but parking I thought used to be free...now it is $15 a day. The base price of the hotel is reasonable for the location but when you add the cost of breakfast, parking and all GST, Destination Marketing Fee and the Tourism Levy...it adds up. Will probably still stay at this location but I will be looking for other options as well.

Coffee machine wasn’t working during breakfast.

The bed was so comfortable! I liked the bathroom size. The decor was tasteful. Loved that it was creamer not powdered creamer for the coffee station.

Instructions for the coffee machine would be nice if just wanting water for tea. I got it eventually! Directions to the breakfast (signage). I didn’t end up eating due to the situation/reason I travelled but I didn’t know where to go anyway. The saggy carpets on hallway are a bit of a tripping hazard (I was on 6 flr)

Great location, easy access to all things on whyte ave. also a bubble tea spot in the hotel was a nice touc, the rooms were nice and clean.

No hot breakfast due to renovations in the kitchen, a bagged breakfast was provided but did not meet expectations for our group. The check in system was down when we showed up and were made to wait 30 mins, also paying additionally for parking is not desirable.

I was very surprised that for such a price you can find a really good hotel. When we came and saw our room, we were surprised because it was very clean and beautiful. A separate plus is the availability of breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was magical, the girls who worked in the lunch room were very smiling and performed their job professionally. Special thanks to the guys who clean the 4th floor, they really know how to do their job and we are very grateful to them for it.

Well breakfast is life to me. I travel often and if breakfast isn't on point I won't return. The breakfast was amazing, The roasted tomatoes, hot sauce, amazing eggs, fresh cut fruit, amazing coffee and expresso. The pastries tasted fresh baked . Beans, potatoes sweet potatoes bits and an alternative to pork breakfast meat would really take it next level for me .The woman at the front desk was awesome at her job. Super helpful, polite, funny and kind.

Over priced parking and it's inconvenient. I missed where it said $15 for over night parking while booking. The maintenance man drinking his coffee and smoking on the roof ac unit right out side my room on the 3r floor. I didn't know who was out side my window. I was a bit shocked and had to ask front desk whos on the roof outside my window. I had them open doing yoga not thinking some one could be on the roof outside my window at 8 am. Maybe next time I'll grab a unit on a higher floor.

Location was great, we walked almost everywhere Breakfast was good, but the same on both days we had it. A little variety would be nice. Staff was great.

Didn't expect to have to pay for daily parking.
