The hotel has tried to keep the integrity of the era in which it was built, almost 100 years ago. So carpet is plush, a winding staircase and general feel of history. There is a large dining room with reasonable prices and good food. Locals seem to go to the bar as we noticed staff recognized them. Another area has Karaoke a couple of nights a week and there is a pool table.

There was no fridge or microwave in the room and no elevator, but none of those things were around when the hotel was built. We stayed in a twin room because we had a private bathroom. There were rooms with a shared bathroom.

Upon entering Jasper, the hotel building blends so well with the town's atmosphere that even Google initially missed the correct location. However, after a bit of footwork, stepping into the hotel felt a bit like a journey back in time. The hotel lobby has a lot of rich woodwork and a beautiful staircase leading up to the rooms. Everything, from the carpets to the furniture reminiscent of a bygone era, blends together to create a nostalgic experience. Our room continued this trend with its comfortable and inviting bed. We also made the most of the facilities and enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and a nightcap at the pub. Exploring Jasper on foot was easy from the hotel's central location. Overall, it was an experience that makes me want to return, for a longer stay next time!

I was lucky and went on the site at exactly the right time to get this room on a Saturday night in Jasper. It was one of the smaller rooms with a sink in it, and a shared bathroom down the hall. But for what hotel rooms cost these days it was amazing. The room was so incredibly clean and so was the bathroom!! I was very impressed. It was tiny but that was expected. It was so cute and my daughter and I had a wonderful night there. The lobby has so much character and was so much fun. Earls Restaurant was right across the street for dinner and we had breakfast at the hotel in the morning. We had EXCELLENT service and the food and coffee was amazing. I will for sure stay here again the next time we're there...hopefully in one of the larger rooms with a private bathroom!!

There was nothing to complain about here. There's no elevator but it's an older hotel. We didn't have lots of luggage to carry up the two flights.

This hotel is located on the main street in the heart of Jasper. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and equipped with toiletries. The lobby and corridors were well lit. The wildlife tour also picked us right outside the hotel so it was very convenient.

The staff was kind enough to tel us at check in that some rooms of the hotel are above the night club so we could choose but the noise was not enough to keep you up.

It is rated a 2 star hotel, and based on the photos and rating I was not expecting more than a cheap place to stay. It turned out the decor was purposefully dated as it looked recently renovated. The room was small, but very comfortable, and this was the most cost effective accommodations in town. It was priced less than a private room in the hostels, yet it is a hotel with a private room... I didn't mind the shared bathrooms, they were sparkling clean. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, and parking was included, which was a bonus. Location was fantastic, right in the middle of Jasper town centre, surrounded by lots of great eateries and pubs.

not much I can comment on, again, I went in with lower expectations and ended up very pleased.

The price, the room was good for just one person. Didn't hear any noise from other rooms besides hallway noise but that's expected. O Shaes is always great!

The room was super warm when I arrived, it was almost uncomfortable, I had to turn it down pretty low. It was my only night at the hotel and just wanted to sleep in a bit in the morning but at 5:30 I kept hearing what sounded like a drawer opening and slamming, and at some point a bit later it sounded like a brooms were knocked over outside and then I heard more banging. I wasn't overly fond of being woken up that early while away.

Great location in town. Had a pool table in the bar. Right next to coin laundry. I think we got off-season prices, at $99 a night for the shared bathroom queen room.

Extremely hot rooms and bathrooms. Like the heating was blasting at all times, and there was no thermostat in the room to control. We had to sleep with the window open. Not enough pillows and not firm.

Good location with free parking. Clean room.

We were (room 102) next to the AC unit for the hallways and it vibrated the bed until it went off around 10pm. Our room was shared bathroom which was fine. The animal heads hanging in the lobby seems wrong given its in a park that is for preserving the wildlife not having them as trophies on the walls.

Great location. A very nice renovated old hotel but the property should have been more clear about the lack of an elevator and non rooms on the ground floor. Three flights of stairs to our room on the "first" floor of rooms.

Surprised that the 2 beds in the room were singles not at least a double! The step up into the bathroom was dangerous!

The shared bathroom was surprisingly clean! It was also quiet, just be sure not to get a room above the nightclub on a weekend night. The bed was a bit too soft for us, but clean and comfortable. Good amount of parking out back.

The room seems like it might get quite hot in the summer (we went in February), and we didn't see a room AC but perhaps there is central AC.
