Holiday Inn Express Red Deer, an IHG Hotel

The location is very good. Close to the mall, easy access to many amenities. It was clean. The breakfast was excellent.

Very, very long walk to and from our room. Had to go around 6 corners in the hallway. Difficult for my elderly mother. The one bed could not be sat on at the foot…it sagged there. Way too much disposable cutlery and dishes. My mom is from Europe. They have transitioned very well away from plastics. It upset her to see and have to use so much.

Loved the second room I was given... when heat in the first room did not work. In getting that problem fixed... the front desk lady was wonderful. Very helpful and accomodating.

My room was above the front door. There was music playing as people entered the hotel... that I could hear ALL NIGHT in my room. That was the first night. I had already had to change rooms with the heat issue in the first room and.... I did not want to be "the customer from hell". I said nothing. The second night.. the music was not there. It was GLORIOUS!

The hot breakfast buffet was impressing. The staff were very friendly. It’s obvious upgrades are being completed.

The outdoor security lights shone directly into our room. Upgrades to room darkening blinds are needed.

I live that they have “low sugar syrup” and “source” yogurt as I am diabetic and these options are more often than not are NOT available even at high end hotels ! There is something to be learned here by other hotels for sure.

Our first room smelled of smoke and deodorizer cover up however they quickly moved us when told and our second room was great !

It was very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional with an amazing layout. The beds were very comfortable, too, with wonderfully silky feeling sheets, and the pillows were like clouds. The shower was great. The TV was easy to use, too.

That we didn't stay longer.

Breakfast was decent, room was good. Location was great, made it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Def will be staying there next time we visit.

Hottub being closed kind of sucked. The cost to use the laundry was also very high, and only having one working machine was not ideal.

We had a awesome stay! My kids loved the bunk beds in the room and the huge Rainbow slide for the pool.. breakfast was hot and delicious as well.. the beds were comfortable.. would definitely stay here again ..

That the hot tub wasn't working.. and there was alot of people the second night stomping around all night so my kids and I barely got to sleep . Also there was only 3 towels in the pool area.

Clean. Spacious. Jacuzzi tub was very nice to relax in after a long night. Loved the Shampoo/Conditioner in the shower very nice scent. Bed was very comfy.

Would have been nice to find more plug in's in the room. Perhaps a charging station for usb devices. Breakfast lasting longer till maybe 11am would have been nice, missed it by a few minutes.

We love a warm welcome from staff (Geralyn), very accommodating and friendly. we like our room, nice and clean and we love the breakfast, all variety, tasty and fresh, all delicious! Great job!

The property is in an excellent location. Facility is really old, but it is clean. Our room was located facing yard, so it was beautifully calm and cool. Staff is amazing. Especially the lady who worked an evening shift on both days of our stay has phenomenal customer service skills, is very polite, professional and kid. Lobby is inviting and nice.

The beds are way too soft for my liking, as I mentioned everything is way too old and the room has no power outlets next to the beds.
