Sandman Hotel Red Deer

There is no breakfast at this facility but grab-and-go breakfast bag can be order in the evening and will be ready to go in the morning. I had not seen such an option before in any other hotel. I liked this option. The front desk lady was very kind from the moment she greeted me and later she kindly responded to my request to help me with the TV. I had made wrong selection and lost the tv channels connections. The location was perfect and the Red Deer shopping mall is just across the street.

I wished there was a restaurant on the spot. The coffee available is not great. In general, I liked everything about this hotel.

There wasn't any breakfast, but a 15% discount for Denny's next door was given. The room was comfortable and spacious. we enjoyed our stay, and the room was good value for the money spent. We would come again.

The location is close to everywhere that we needed to get to; however, the roads around the hotel are a pain to get around. It took a few extra minutes to get anywhere because you had to go one way and then u-turn to get going in the direction you needed to go.

The receptionist who checked us in November 12 was really nice, very accomodating whilst the receptionist (short haired girl) on the desk (November 13) when we checked out around 1pm wasn’t. Didn’t even acknowledge our presence when we got there, was on the phone for 5 minutes. And when she was done, she said in a monotone voice. “You have the receipt. So you’re good.” Stayed there a couple of times and she’s the first unpleasant receptionist we’ve encountered.

The location of the property, the parking, the ease of check in. I also liked the fact that the property was secure and easy access to a lounge and restaurant. For the areas that I used or saw, things seemed neat and tidy. The floor tile by the elevators off the lobby is a bit worn, but still functional.

As I was only there the one night, I saw nothing that could be improved to make my stay better.

The location was good, and the staff were very good to work with, and did their best in a Covid world of short staffed situations. We very much appreciated Alison who helped navigate a couple of difficulties we faced with our online booking. She was very good through it all and even gave us a nicer room than originally chosen. Thank you Alison, and thank you also to the Sandman Hotel and other staff.

The only thing that gave me any concern at all was the lack of lighting around the building and even the signage did not seem to be working at night which gave the building a deserted feel, I was a bit concerned for the security of the vehicles in the parking lot. We were there for five days and it was repaired on the last night . But I will say even with the lights on the parking lot could use a little more lighting. That said everything inside was bright and Cheery. Thanks for everything.

The beds and the pillows are very comfy. The rooms are a good size. They have a microwave and mini fridge in the rooms. The staff is friendly.

The room doors don't have a slow closing mechanism so the doors get smacked every time you close them. As the neighbors next door had a party during the night I heard the door being smacked every time they were using their door.

Staff was nice, everything was supper clean, good free parking, comfy beds, spacious rooms, worth the price, nice hot tub/swimming pool temperatures, nice black out curtains. Will 100% be back.

Jets in hot tub could of been stronger, the door to our room didn't latch properly sometimes, and the bathtub didn't drain quickly probably was clogged up

Upon arrival, the front desk was quite busy; however, Courtney dealt with all in a very professional, timely manner and was very pleasant. Holly checked us out, we found her to be very friendly, pleasant and professional as well. I will definitely recommend this hotel and use it for future travel plans. 💜

The location was close to lots of other restaurants, only a few minutes away. Pool was fun, bed was comfortable and the room itself was good.

Seemed like they could have vacuumed the floors between the bathroom and hallway and the sink was clogged. But everything else was good

the rooms had a modern type feel. I felt extra secure with the elevator also requiring the room key to use for the floor I was staying on.

the lights in the bathroom would flicker for a few seconds before turning on. the bed was a little uncomfortable but it was doable.
