The room (with fireplace!) was simple and rustic but clean and comfortable. The location and view were terrific! The walk from our room to the main lodge and restaurants was very pleasant, with a fantastic view. The breakfast buffet every morning was excellent. The approx. 3 mile hike around the lake had some breathtaking views, but part of it was muddy and very slippery! We did the hike in the morning and got excellent reflections on the calm lake.

We ate once at the main dining room in the lodge and once in the Cilantro Cafe. Both times the meals were entirely too spicy for our taste, so we ate elsewhere the rest of the time. The parking lot for resort guests is some distance from the lodge so we had to take a shuttle to get to and from our car. The shuttles are quickly available, but it was sort of a pain trying to remember to get everything we needed in or out of the car every time.

Superb hotel in an incredible location. Rooms were decent size and the bed provided a very comfortable sleep. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Great location to stay and wander the grounds & surrounding area, especially the walk around the lake. Car parking is off site & transfers are by a shuttle bus, which was always very quick to arrive (on call). Facilities were good with options for eating & having a drink. Very comfortable & homely feel to the whole establishment. Once the day tourists leave, it is very serene. We wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy this place

Overcrowded with day tourists but they are gone by late afternoon.

The property is surrounded by incredible beauty ! It’s truly a hidden gem, and if you get there early in the season, you’ll bypass the crowds and get to experience the lake (almost) all to yourself

The rooms need refurbishment, which I understand is already in the plan. Don’t get me wrong the views from the room were glorious overlooking the emerald lake, and falling asleep with the balcony door open(with mosquito net of course) with the fire was truly such an incredible experience, we absolutely loved it. Just needs a bit of an upgrade

The location cannot be beaten!! You are right on the lake & the lodges are very cute. The staff are super friendly & the shuttle down to the car park works very well. The breakfast was good (a little expensive) & the rooms were very comfortable.

You are paying for the location vs the lodge itself - the lodges are lovely however are a little dated & the view itself from the lodge & bar itself wasn’t as spectacular as we’d hoped. There is no wifi offered in the lodges which makes things tricky with planning your route / itinerary.

I can confidently say our stay was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in a unique location, this lodge offers breathtaking views that make you feel truly connected to nature. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the balcony or cozying up by the fireplace in your charming room, the scenery is simply mesmerizing. The accommodations are beautifully designed, combining rustic charm with modern comforts. The fireplace in the room added a lovely touch, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The on-site restaurant's menu featured a delightful range of dishes, all expertly prepared with fresh, local ingredients.

While the lodge is on the pricier side, I believe it’s worth every penny.

The location was ideal. The breakfast was wonderful and refueled us for hiking. We ate at the Mount Burgess restaurant and the Kicking Horse Lounge, both were superb. Enjoyed the hot tub clubhouse area everyday. The landscaping of the grounds was beautiful; the gorgeous flowers and plantings added to the natural surroundings. Took advantage of the guest coffee station, the fireplace ensuite, the canoes and the peace and quiet in the evening sunsets and early morning sunrise. Would love to come back again.

Was disappointed the fireplace in the main lodge wasn't lit. It was perfect weather for it. The rooms could use more accessible outlets for plugging in electronics.

A beautiful lodge in an amazing place. The rooms were comfortable and intimate, though I had booked a room with a view on the lake, but in fact the view was more on the roof of the neighboring lodge. Still, the place is so stunningly beautiful that even the roof contributed to the charm. Strongly recommend the walk around the lake. And also strongly recommend the restaurant, our dinner there was excellent and the service impeccable. So a big thank you to all the staff. PS: If you light up the fireplace in the room, the smoke alarm will go on and a very nice person will knock on your door to ask if all is OK. So may be, open the window to let the smoke out.

Nothing, really.

Fantastic location overlooking the lake. Restaurant in the main lodge was very good for breakfast and dinner. The newer clubhouse with hot tub was small but nice, the hot tub was hot🥵 Beautiful 5k walk around the Lake, although muddy & slippery in the SE section c0.5mile Block 31, upper deck was nearly the furthest from the main lodge so lovely and quiet location

The room was dated, needed refurbishing. The balcony for sitting and overlooking the lake needs cleaning and major renovation. There’s no fridge or safe in the room. Very busy with day trippers around the bridge and western side of the Lake, but beautiful and quieter in the evening

Absolutely stunningly beautiful location! I’m not sure I could dream up a more idyllic location for a lodge. Near perfect! Also, a very good value for the area. Our cabin was cozy and comfortable and of course met all the necessities of being clean, and modern with a comfortable bed and pillow. Very good restaurants on site as well with competitive pricing for the area.

Because it is such a beautiful location, it brings lots (I mean LOTS) of visitors that aren’t staying at the lodge. This hampers the experience a bit. I get it, it’s all part of Yoho National Park, but it means your stay is in the middle of a tourist attraction that draws quite the crowd. This also means that parking is an issue. Overnight guests have a lot to use but it’s about half a mile from the lodge - so you have to either call for a shuttle or walk. Good news is you definitely have a place to park at a location where parking is at a premium.

Worth splashing out to stay here, the views are great and the walk around the Lake one of the best we did in the whole time we were in Canada. The restaurant is good standard and not too expensive. It was raining heavily on the day we arrived but the real fire in our room was a great consolation and dried off our clothes. But when it's sunny and dry this is one of the most beautiful places to be. Heard loons calling in the evening, very evocative.

It's a very touristy location but mainly the visitors just stay on the bridge and it feels peaceful when they are gone. Also, didn't realise that you have to park a 15 min walk away from the hotel so have to be collected. We ended up stuffing carrier bags full of wet gear into the transport, not ideal as there is a car park near the lodge but it's full of tourist cars.
