A pretty normal motel with a queen sized bed, a fridge, microwave and bath room. The location is beautiful. The room was silent and all in all I enjoyed my stay. They have plenty of parking lots. The AC is working well. The prices are relatively low compared to competitors. The staff was friendly.

I wish they had a trash can other than the tiny one in the bath room. The wifi constantly dies and comes back a few seconds later. That is quite inconvenient. Also if a customer spills water on a pillow or blanket and after washing it the stain still remains visible you might want to replace it. Yes it costs money and yes it's bad for the environment but otherwise it will make the impression of it not being really clean.

It was a drive-up room, which was helpful because of my luggage. There is a grocery store around the corner, so combined with a fridge with a freezer in the room and a microwave, I could eat in-room and rest and get a good sleep. The internet was excellent. The pool looked very nice, but I didn't have a chance to use it. It would be a place I would stay in the future if I needed.

The room wasn't cleaned very well. There were still used coffee pods in the coffee maker and opened shampoo envelopes in the shower. Also, the baseboards and other surfaces could use good cleaning/dusting. This motel could be a fun, kitschy place if some elbow grease and creativity were applied. Unfortunately, it just gives off the feeling of a tired location in desperate need of attention.

Beautiful area of Golden. Really nice views and nice walking trails around to explore the town! Front desk associates were really friendly too!

For being a motel, we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness. Just not worth the price we paid compared to other towns for what we got(or lack there of)! $170 for a motel room is far too high of price in our opinion. But unfortunately when you are on a budget and not much around for an hour or two of driving, it’s all you can get unless you can afford the even higher prices in town!

for a older motel i was very pleasantly surprised at how profession my room looked for the price i paid. The front staff where very friendly and courteous. it was a fairly large and quiet room on the second floor. i enjoyed my visit and have now found my new go to spot for when i travel from the states to edmonton

Like i said, it is a older motel and things are dated but nothing was broken or in ill repair. I was quite pleased and had a awesome sleep.

The location is the best feature of this property both near to the pedestrian overpass over the Kicking Horse River to access Golden as well on the right side of town to more easily access the bike trails on the opposite side of the Columbia River. Although the facility is not new nor luxurious, it provides all the basics you need in a very acceptable package. The staff were quite helpful. Plenty of parking spaces.

Nice hot tub! The staff were accommodating about hot tub access as we checked in after 8:30 pm. Beds were comfortable and the room was a decent size.

Towels in the room were pretty tiny even for hotel towels and there were only 2. Electrical outlets didn't work or were inaccessible. TV reception was a bit sketchy but we adapted so not a deal breaker.

This is my favorite motels in Golden. Excellent parking for motorcycle. Close to ski resort. Next door to brewery and pizza. Much better value than motels on main highway, no road noise

My shower plumbing was about to fail, v difficult to shut off. And the tiny av unit did well but located so high above sink it needs a chair to reach its controls

The Location of Mary's hotel is close to the ski area. The hotel is standard drive up, park in front of the room and unload your stuff. No frills but the room was clean. It had a coffee maker and a hot water pot. Small refrigerator and a microwave. The owner was friendly and accommodated my request, he allowed me to use the jacuzzi before the hours of operation. The town of Golden is not pretentious. We ate at some good restaurants. Kicking Horse ski area is a badass ski area. If you want fancy and frilly skiing you should probably go somewhere else.

The screen on the heater/cooling unit was broken.

Only 2 towels for a room with 4 occupants, one of our rooms had no cups and only decaffeinated coffee. No bug screen in the window. The small thing that overall didn't hurt our stay and are easy fixes

The office staff was friendly and helpful. Look, for the price I knew I wasn't getting a 5-star hotel. I rated this for the price and level of motel service which was PERFECT for my long journey through the BC mountains. I'd stay here again. Plus they were extra friendly with my dog - much appreciated.
