The room was very clean and the bathroom was detailed clean with no sign of discoured caulking, stained tile or swelling baseboards from moisture that i have seen at other budget motels. The Rondo was so well kept up, they even had monogrammed towels which many expensive hotels dont have! Nice tvs, room tea and coffee, shampoo and a firm mattress. RONDO is great value, quiet enough and basically town centre to be able to walk along the river or eating establishments.

You cant complain about a $70 room that looks like a $150!

Contrary to some of the reviews, our room was very nice for the price. It appeared to have been renovated within a year or two. Room was a mini-suite, with main room with King bed, and a smaller room with queen bed, and a small kitchen (stocked w dishes, silverware, toaster, coffee, etc.). Overall very clean, comfy beds, check-in was easy. While the hotel was not cheap, it was the least expensive in an extremely expensive area. Poor internet strength was the only negative.

No Breakfast. Internet was minimally functional.

We got in super late, we let them know while booking and the host was quick to get us checked in to our room. Good spot in downtown golden. Friendly area! Would stay again!

Not a big deal at all, price was super cheap so understandable the room looks a little beaten up. But we wanted to shower that night but chose not to cause bathroom was kinda creepy looking. Also the second drawer in our room had clothes folded in it. So we assumed someone was living there? Bed was clean and fridge was empty so we didn’t mind!

Overall felt like a great value, we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen, while simple, allowed us to prepare most of our own meals which made the stay much more pleasant. Great location! Grocery store is only a 5 min walk away - very welcome in the -20 degree weather. Water and heat were both great, able to get very hot. Bed was comfortable. Room felt spacious for two, just what we wanted. This is a simple motel, don't expect luxury, go in with reasonable expectations. We were very happy with it for our ski trip.

We booked the "deluxe one-bedroom suite" which claimed to include a couch but there was no couch in our room (room 25 I believe). There were only two of us so one bed was enough, but I did originally book this because I wanted the couch and kitchen. I think they must have different versions of these suites that aren't separated out on Booking. Oh well. The running water stopped working the last morning we were here for at least an hour. They had a plumber in and fixed it. We just waited for it to come back on. I ran into another guest who was locked out of their room and unable to find anyone to help him. It does seem they only have folks at the front desk for limited hours, so just be cautious especially in frigid weather that you don't get trapped outside.

The room was a good size with a separate bedroom and a sofa. The kitchen was a great feature. Good views.

The Wi-Fi was intermittent at best much to the disappointment of my children. The receptionist did not have a good understanding of English which made booking in more difficult than it should have been.

Cleanliness, Location & Price

We had a bitter experience with the front desk staff, the guy was very RUDE, unwilling to talk, we asked about the breakfast facilities nearby - he answered I DONT KNOW with rude manner, I asked him my second question about the Wifi passcode his answer again I DONT KNOW, my family friend was with me and I feel very embarrassed about the situation, in my entire life never ever has such experience with the front desk staff

It is easy to find the motel. It has plenty of rooms to choose for different purposes. It is close to the river, to restaurants, supermarkets, 711, No 1 highway. From many of the rooms you can see mountains covered by snow. So beautiful! The boss are very nice and generous to help! The room is clean with everything we need. The beds are very comfortable. Golden is surrounded by several national parks. Highly recommended!

Room was really basic but very clean, the beds were so comfortable with yummy duvet. I did not want to get up in the morning! We got there really late and had communicated with the owner about this so they left the keys on the office door with a cute note. It was all we needed for a quick overnight stay and it was very comfortable.

The bathroom was a bit dingy with one light out and some damage next to the toilet on the wall but we weren't expecting it to be luxurious or new so this really didn't matter.

The staff was amiable and helpful. The room was big enough and the kitchen had everything that I needed. Great location.

I asked for room service on my second day there but I didn't receive it until my final day.

Easy to find, lots of parking, the room is everything I want it to be and super clean!! The bed linens are great, duvet and pillows are first class. The bed is so comfortable! And the room is wonderfully quiet. The blackout curtains really help for a deliciously sound sleep!! The fridge and microwave are an added plus!! Staff are kind and helpful!!
