We recently stayed at this motel in Rocky Mountains for one night, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the pool and water slide were excellent, and my kids absolutely loved them. The room itself was nice and clean, with a big TV and fast internet, which was a plus.

However, there were a few downsides to our stay. Firstly, the motel appeared a bit "tired" and could benefit from some renovations. Additionally, the breakfast was very disappointing. The breakfast area was extremely small, and despite the motel being quite big, we struggled to find a place to sit and enjoy our meal. Furthermore, I found the price to be a bit overpriced, which seems to be the norm in the Rocky Mountains. Lastly, the sauna had a very low temperature, similar to the outside temperature in the pool area, which was not what I expected.

Their staff were pleasant and attentive. Checking in and out process were very easy. Pool and water slide were awesome and the sauna was nice! Room appliances all worked.

Even though the rooms are non-smoking, it would be more attractive if cigarette trays weren’t right outside the rooms and if people wouldn’t smoke right on the balcony outside the rooms. Maybe a designated smoking area would be more appropriate in 2023.

Was close to hwy for ease of access. The beds were comfy. The room had easy access from vehicle. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good but the options were limited compared to some other hotels with continental breakfast.

The breakfast area was very cramped for the amount of people needing to use the space. The pancake machine was not working (no batter) and the made pancakes put in the chaffing dish were flat and tough. The property itself looked slightly run down.

The room was quite nice with flooring instead of carpet which I actually like. The pool area was quite good and the breakfast was pretty decent. Price was also good. Great place if you are just stopping for the night.

The toilet seat was held with some kind of magnetic things instead of being screwed on so when you sat on it it seemed to slide over a bit. Made it a bit a nuisance but that was really only complaint.

Breakfast included coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, eggos, bread, fruit, and muffins. The pool area is open until midnight and has a hot tub, sauna, pool, and waterslide. The waterslide has a button and timer you need to push. Make sure to grab towels from the lobby! You can do free laundry on sight but you need to bring soap or buy it at the front desk. Bed was comfortable and the TV had a lot of options.

Overall our stay was amazing! We had the Jacuzzi King Suite and the tub was the highlight! The lady at the front desk was a joy and so pleasant and kind. I love motel style hotels and it had great parking and was tucked in off the highway. There was a pool and sauna and hot tub which were open until midnight and a fire pit and picnic tables.

Unfortunately, the hotel seemed to be primarily fully booked by a group of tourists on a tour bus, who were VERY noisy when they left in the morning and woke us both up (I'm pretty sure around 7am) as they left past our room. The rooms were a bit dated and definitely were not what would be expected from an almost $350 room, and the mattress was quite hard.

Very nice staff, room was quiet and clean. Breakfast is very simple but it has the basics and it will do just to get a day going. In the absence of the steep price, I had no issues with the motel at all.

The room was freezing as the a/c was set too low when I got there (more of a pointer for the staff then a real problem). The price was crazy steep for an older roadside motel, but it was last minute and summer so I guess comparable to the rest.

There is a swimming pool, hot term, sauna, and coin laundry room exclusively for guests, so the convenience facilities are good, so it was great while staying at the accommodation. I am very satisfied with the breakfast. I want to visit again next time.

I stayed for 2 nights, but the room was not cleaned and towels were not provided, so I had to request it separately.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked for two nights and on the first night we were notified that our oldest son had died from a massive heart attack. I informed the desk that we had to leave early and they refunded the room rate for the second night. based on this kindness we will always stay at the Travel Lodge whenever we are in Golden. the water in the pool could be warmer.

location was mostly quiet (neighbourhood party (no fault of motel) kept us awake one night) and easy to find. Substantial breakfast included. Good value for price paid during high season
