Location is the best!! I've been staying at this hotel since I was a little girl (over 35 years!!) While not much has changed on the property, that's part of the charm! Ultra family friendly. Great place to take the kids, relax on your balcony with an amazing ocean view and watch the little ones play in the yard right in front of you. The property also feels very safe. There was one rowdy room on our first night..the staff were very concerned and apologetic. They must have had some words because we didn't hear a peep out of them on the second night.

As I said, I enjoy the old school charm the Sea Edge has to offer. I would say that any updates they have tried to make are pretty shotty. I would not pick this place if you are strictly looking for in-room amenities...you would be disappointed. BUT the bed was extremely comfy and I slept like a baby!

this location cannot be beat and we had such a blast during our stay! we were travelling as a family of 4 and our friends were coming with their family a couple days after us as well. the staff were great about accommodating our requests to stay side by side on the ground floor and they even cleaned our friends room early so they could check in as soon ad possible. the staff were amazing and friendly throughout, checking on us a few hours after checkin to make sure we had everything we needed. they provided us the use of a volleyball so we could utilize the beach volleyball area right in front of our unit which was so much fun and we got to mini golf for free at the castle mini fold up the street! the units are on the dated side but they’re clean, plenty big with everything you really need and beds for everyone, and the location is amazing. you get to wake up and go to sleep every day enjoying the ocean right in front of you l, and the kids can run out to play in the swings or walk the beach in plain sight. the bonfire pits were also awesome, a great way to end the day. we’ve stayed just about everywhere in Parksville but this may be my favourite just for the location and amenities. we will definitely return! thanks to the staff for an awesome time!

great amenities staff were wonderful, and it was right on the beach which we were looking for at a good cost 

the smokers if you get a smoker right next door and your not a smoker your room fills with smoke and the sign on the room says it is a smoke free property I don’t care if people smoke but not close to the building I want all to enjoy the stay as comfortable as the next but where does one draw the line when you can not keep your door open to enjoy the breeze when the person next door is smoking

The best part was just opening the patio doors and I was steps from the ocean. Staff were super friendly and it felt very safe day or night.

Very recent renovation to rooms was great. Everything fresh and new inside. Great location! All rooms look right out onto beach with long waterfront walking path right there. Still working on outside renovations so don’t judge by that. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free mini golf next door was fun too. Rooms had little kitchens with supplies also. Will definitely be back again.

beautiful location, right on the beach.

there were people parked in the public lot next to my room (on the very end). they hung out and drank in the vehicle 3 nights in a row and they could be heard from inside the hotel room. I had a pet room and no one cleaned the room all week. they just stocked the bathroom. The sheets had some stains when we arrived and I left a note asking for them to be changed after the first night. they were not.

Beach front, excellent location, staff were awesome!! so helpful! View is beautiful, lots of parking, easy to walk everywhere, has everything in it you would need fully stocked kitchenette. We could watch the Canada Day fireworks from the balcony!! Had fire pits and badminton net set up, a swing set, lots of picnic tables. When my kids were younger I wish I knew more about this place! it would have been the PERFECT place to holiday right on their favorite beach. but as a couple we will definitely stay here again!!!

The rooms are VERY dated, but I knew that when we booked. Super small bathroom. This is not what I didn’t like about the property but just a side note : i paid an insane amount of money for the one night, but that was the going rate.. and it was a special night .stat holiday, middle of summer, last minute, ocean front on Canada day when we could watch the fireworks from the deck! I don’t know what their regular rates are but I definitely wouldn’t pay that again for any other day of the year. So I don’t know how economical it is for a regular stay.

I really liked that we were able to upgrade easily to a suite with a kitchenette. The kitchenette was very well stocked with all the amenities we needed to make our own meals and drinks, which saved us alot of money. Also, the pullout sofa bed worked well for our toddler to be able to sleep next to us but in his own bed. I liked that it was lower to the ground so he could climb in and out easily on his own.

Housekeeping schedule was at the same time as our son's nap time so we missed it the first day or two. But that was easily remedied with a phone call to the front desk to inquire when they could come by. They were very accomodating of our son's schedule and came early the next day.

The room was spacious. nice kitchenette with all things you need in the kitchen. The location is super. Really close to the boardwalk and has its own yard connected to the beach. Restaurants / grocery stores are close by as well. Access to the highway is fast. The room I stayed on the first floor was nice set up. Would be enough even for 2 couples - one bed is in the main area while the other bed is in the entrance room that has a door which you can close. Super friendly staff! Good value for the money even though the faculties are not the newest.

Really nothing would definitely stay again if I were in the are. One of the beds was a bit squeeky in my room.

Excellent location, the absolute best.

Photos of hotel inaccurate in that the grass is unwatered and brown with overgrown gardens. New owners have worked hard to modernize the look of the rooms but still have a ways to go to restore the property. It would be quite hard to fix the thin walls and insulate between floors for noise but that would help a lot to make things better for clientele.
