Breakfast was quite good and there was a large portion for value especially with the hotel patron discount. The waitress was friendly and kept our coffee topped up.

The hotel did specify that breakfast started at 6am but it actually was a little later than that which was not a huge inconvenience but we were on a bit of a short timeline so we noticed. The beds were comfortable, however one of our group slept on the sofa bed and it was terrible (they could feel the individual springs).

Very lovely staff, great beginning to our day in Stamps, your hotel is clean and the area your in is perfect. Continuing a trip from that corner is easy, your staff pointed the way to gas station and the highway. Thank-you so much to Anika for towels for comfort from Wendy and Tracy. Good location, very comfortable beds, AC works well, clean bathroom, nice coffee pods.

The meal was nice, but it took almost an hour to be ready. The waitress did tell us that they were serving a group of people so we had to wait longer but I think the restaurant manager should have had a back-up plan for guests who want to eat there. I saw some other guests were waiting for their meals as well.

The staff was wonderful ! So kind and helpful while in a stressful situation due to the wildfire and road closure. They went above and beyond the usual . It was the quietest Best Western ever. It must have thick soundproofing between the rooms.

A little hard to locate due to poor road signage.

The suite was fantastic and suited our family of 5 perfectly. The staff at the front desk was super friendly. Every morning there was a knock on the door asking us if we needed anything; no other hotel during our stay in BC went out of their way to that extend to look after their customers! Super impressed!

The room was very comfortable as were the beds. The hotel appeared spotless. Compared to other places that I have stayed at in Port Alberni this was a great deal for the price.

The breakfast offer was a coupon for a 20% discount on food that was a tad higher priced than available restaurants. Since we were leaving after our night stay there was no real incentive for us to try it. If we were staying a second night, perhaps.

Location was good and breakfast was standard for covid restrictions.

Our room was quite cramped for a family of 4 and we were very disappointed with the absence of a microwave in the room. Of the 5 hotels we stayed at during our trip the Barkley was the only one without this convenience and it was sadly missed.

The staff at the Stamps Cafe were fantastic - efficient and pleasant! Always got the orders right, even though one day only one server was looking after the whole restaurant, plus answering the phone and doing the cash register. Kudos to her - don’t know her name, but she was the grey haired lady. All the breakfasts were cooked perfectly too and were yummy.

Actually everything was great! Appreciated attention to safety concerns during Covid.

Perfect location for the purpose of my visit. It was clean and comfortable and had everything you would expect from this hotel. The breakfast was delicious.
