This was our second stay here. This time on our way home from holiday. The room we had a week ago was in need of update but this one was lovely. Seemed cleaner and in much better condition. The staff on reception and in the kitchen were again helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious again! Fresh cookies, muffins, tarts as well as cooked breakfast and yoghurts. Although we didnt use the pool, it looked clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking off road too. Comfy bed, good size tv and a microwave and fridge in the room too.

Staff was excellent. Room had been recently renovated. Breakfast was well stocked and food was good.

Husband is in a wheel chair and the layout of the hotel made it necessary to go outside to get to the front desk. There was no cover over the other doors so we got soaked trying to get in and out during heavy rain. The breakfast room was too small and very cramped. Our room had no place to hang clothes and there were carpet tacks sticking up that were hard on bare feet.

It was a good location. Nice sitting area out front on veranda overlooking the harbor, could watch ships going out.

The price! We had to leave an area that was in flooding from the rain storm that hit Nova Scotia and roads were closing so we need to get closer to airport and the price was 500/night for rooms that were worth 150/night at best. It was a stressful time so Booking.com was gouging the prices because of a natural disaster and people having to move closer to the airport.

It was located right on the Bedford Bay, close driving to Bedford, downtown Halifax, and all the sightseeing spots like Peggy's Cove. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable, and the pool was open appropriate and accessable hours, on the main floor. The staff was friendly and even went the extra step to come out to the parking lot to get me before I left after I forgot something at the front desk. The property is beautiful with lots of charm, views, and decent parking.

The only downside is the little room area for breakfast is very small compared to the capacity of the hotel. We ended up missing breakfast because there was no room to sit and eat, and manoeuvring around in the room was a challenge.

Beds are comfortable. It was pretty quiet even thought the hotel was full. Staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good and items were replenished often.

Some items in the room was not as clean as I expected. One of the pillowcases had a sticky brown substance on it, the carpet in the room was dirt. Found dirty fingerprints all over the refrigerator cabinet.

what can I say… EVERYTHING!!! I love the peaceful woods in the back and ocean in the front … the absolute best of both worlds. I must dad their breakfast and the staff doing the breakfast or amazing everything is amazing about this place. They are caring they are concerned and they treat you wonderfully I could never promote another hotel the way I could this one because this place is magical and I recommend it to everyone with my whole heart and soul

Staff were great, breakfast was delicious. Comfortable beds. Well kept grounds. Clean rooms!

Tiny bathrooms. I went to get a drink from the vending machine at night with a $5 bill and a credit card. I could not get a drink. It was an old coke machine that only took change up to $2. There is no convenience store within walking distance. This needs to get upgraded.

The room was very comfortable. The front porch perfect for coffee during the rain. The staff was friendly toward our dogs.

The price was outrageous. Over $400. For a 2 1/2 star hotel? Just because of the Indigenous Games? Price gouging is alive and well. Not a great location for walking a dog.

Everything was lovely. We brought our small dog but we’re only told they were pet friendly not that there was a$20 fee. Only problem we had was our TV did not work. We did eventually get the front desk clerk to come and fiddle with it and it turned out the cable was going in the wrong connection. For the inconvenience she was able to remove our pet fee which we appreciated.

Reception area, breakfast room and porch

Our room was very tiny but we managed. However the room door and bathroom door both seriously stuck and required a hefty push or pull. As well the little fridge leaked over some food we had stored and even on to the carpet.
