Comfort Hotel Bayer's Lake

Front Desk staff and breakfast staff were exceptional! Room was huge, beds were comfortable and very clean. Coffee, tea, juice water available all the time was a bonus. Breakfast was excellent with so many choices and staff was so accommodating and kind. Free dvds if you are spending time in your room. Pool was lovely and the heated floors and sauna were a nice bonus. This hotel was perfect!

Sadly we were there during a cheer event so lots of loud giggly girls all over the place and parents hanging out at the bar. Not the hotels fault, they did their best to keep them contained. The location is a little outside the Center but it is less than 10 minutes to Halifax with no tolls so it was perfect for us.

We liked everything about this hotel. It was well maintained, clean and in a good location for nearby facilities, restaurants etc.. We really appreciated being able to come down and get a cup of tea whenever we needed!! The breakfast was exceptional and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Good location also to get to the airport. We would stay here again if we should return to Canada.

The location was great for visiting Halifax and South Nova Scotia. Great for shopping Costco Walmart etc. Timmy’s and Wendys in the parking lot. Loads of Restaurants nearby. Close to the biking and walking trails. Finally the staff were excellent!! Very friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back 👍👍

No fault of the hotel but it’s having a large tower added to the property which meant construction. We are looking forward to seeing the completed Hotel. Also due to Covid some restrictions were in place but the staff were very helpful when needed !!

it’s an older building but you can tell they try very hard to maintain it. Our room was huge and very clean. Bathroom was also very clean. Staff were all very kind and friendly. The breakfast included in the price was phenomenal! Smoked ham, sausages, eggs, thick fluffy pancakes, French toast and wonderful baked fresh tomatoes. Plus all the other usual items such as cereal and the coffee was good!

Tv was a bit funky to figure out how to work it, but not a big issue. Once we did it was fine.

room was huge, the biggest room I have had in Halifax. Staff nice, breakfast choices were amazing. pool is nice, had a bathtub in room, location is great, shopping and eating so close, even next to the highway the room was quiet from traffic.

The AC unit was SO LOUD. TV was NOT working at all, wifi issues. no complementary water, parking for a large car is almost impossible.

Very good hot breakfast, juice and coffee available at all times. Big size rooms, nice beds.

There is no soundproofing whatsoever between the rooms. We could hear our neighbors talk, laugh, and sneeze. The pool filter pump was not working in the morning, so the water was disgusting, and my family had to leave the pool.

The room is huge, I don’t think I every stay in any basic room with that much space to walk. It got a nice standing mirror hanging on the wall, nice and big bathroom with bathtub. The bed is clean and comfy and the breakfast is tasty as well.

Insufficient lighting, the room gets too dim at night you can’t get any work down.

The staff at the front desk were experiencing computer issues when we arrived but the girls handled it professionally and in a timely manner. Great job ladies!!!

The parking lot was EXTREMELY small even though we only had a mid-size car. Other patrons of the hotel were extremely accommodating to allow us room to get out.

We chose this hotel because of its location near the highway as we planned on driving to Peggy’s cove and Lunenberg. It is very conveniently located for this purpose. Free parking also a draw. Friendly staff and hot breakfast included. Nice pool but we didn’t use it. Room was nice, clean,modern.

Being away from the city center few choices of places to eat after hours. There is a Wendy’s and a Tim Horton’s steps away, but nothing else. We were looking for a bowl of soup somewhere but neither Tim’s nor Wendy’s had soup. No place to walk in the evening, so best bet is to go to the hotel at the end of the day, after you’ve had supper and are ready to call it a day!

The location is great for shopping and near the city. Staff were friendly and my room was great! Super comfy bed and clean!!

The lobby was full of perfume. I am sensitive to fragrance and checking in was uncomfortable. It wasn't one person but rather the entire lobby wreaking of strong scent.
