I loved the location, I'm actually surprised how cheap it was for a hotel downtown. It's close to everything. Good restaurants near by, the ferry is 5 minutes away by car (could definitely walk). The neighborhood felt safe. Happy that the breakfast were hot with a bit of change every day. I saw the pool but didn't get to go since it was a LOT of kids their (I went in the morning), so I suggest going closer to the closing time if you want to relax. And btw is looks BETTER than the pictures.

The lights in the room are a bit orange instead of white, so it feels like it's always dark.

Decent location, modern, clean, bfast included. Staff friendly and efficient. Close to event, so we were within walking distance to Great Outdoor Comedy Fest. Surprised available on short notice, as our original booking fell through (no water-so bookings were canceled). But I was surprised how nice the hotel is.

Was pricey. Hotels everywhere have really jumped in price. We had a view of part of Citadel Hill, but back side of police station and parking lot.

Breakfast was great the staff taking care of the breakfast were fantastic , friendly. . Assisted mom mom when they noticed her shaking hands . Helped bring her plate to table for her . My mom has Parkinson’s . That was extremely thoughtful the staff assisted her . That meant a lot to her and us her two daughters . That is going above and beyond to help . Just fantastic staff .

Bed headboards leather peeling needs to be replaced other than that it was great

It was close to everything walking distance, to the sights and AtlanticOcean. I just want to say thank you to Scott the Director of Operations, thank you for listening and helping me .and taking the time to always say Hi. Thank you , Helena who over sees the housekeeping was easy to talk to and there for me if i had any issue's. Thank you. Rubal ( Front Desk) was amazing and wonderful He went over and above to make our stay comfortable.Your the Best!!!! Thank you... Parth ( Front Desk) Also was polite and great. Thank you. Justin ( Housekeeping) went out of his way to bring us clean towels and made sure we had what we needed.Thank you.. Katherine (kitchen) was so polite and made sure that everything was accessible at Breakfast. Thank u. And Dion (night Front desk) was a pleasure to talk to when i got up in the middle of the night and went for a walk outside. Thank you. Overall to these people you made me feel like Family, not just another customer and I want to say Thank you again 🙂

The female staff members weren't the friendliness. They don't acknowledge you. At times. It was like they were there to socialize with each other than to help the customers

The staff were really great and location was excellent. Close proximity to everything in downtown Halifax. Enjoyed their choice of hot and cold breakfast. Comfortable bed. Stayed here from June 10-13, returned June 16th for a night before our flight on the 17th. We returned our car rental at 11am of June 16th, hotel check in was supposedly 3pm. I called the hotel to ask if we can leave our luggages at the lobby while waiting for check in. Advised to come and unexpectedly, we were checked in at 12noon. It was a big relief for us!

It would have been nice to have a whirlpool to help relieve those achy legs and feet after walking all day. The pool was okay just needs a bit of scrubbing.

Breakfast was excellent. Great variety and selection. Loved having the fruit salad every day, along with bananas, apples, oranges. Variety of yogurts. Nice to be able to grab a coffee on the go with nice sized cups with lids. Great coffee too! Room was spacious, decorated beautifully, large washroom. Very clean.

Hated the elevators. Not enough elevators for a 16 floor hotel. Only 2 elevators! Had a problem with going up to our room. If someone got on that was going down the elevator would then go down to that floor instead of taking you up to your requested higher floor. That is my only complaint.

This hotel was typical. It was clean and comfortable and staff is friendly. We stayed 5 nights and really appreciated its proximity to most tourist attractions. I have some disability so walking is slower for me, but we were able to walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. In 5 days we only used Uber once.

No important complaints. Breakfast is good, not great.

The room and amenities were nice and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Staff were friendly. Checking in and out was easy. Liked that coffee and tea was accessible and free any time of day to keep warm during cold days.

Breakfast would have been exceptional if additional food options were provided for guests with dietary needs. I requested my room to be cleaned on a certain day at 12 pm, went out and came back to find my room still dirty and ended up having a cleaning staff member knock on my room door around 3 pm to clean during private time with my partner. One time I requested fresh pillows cases and sheets only to find some were stained and dirty. Communication between staff I feel needs to be improved as on more than one occasion when requesting fresh towels/tissues/toilet paper I’d receive those items 3 times in the same day sent by 3 different cleaning staff.

Closeness to everything.

The parking garage garbage, 2nd floor, was over flowing, extremely smelly, and making a mess for people to walk through (leaks). We notified front desk, and they quickly informed us that they were aware and it would be taken care of. The next day it was still there, over flowing. During the hot summer days guest shouldn't be greeted with heated garbage in the parking garage. This needs better maintance. The room was good, though you can tell the inside of the toilet wasn't cleaned properly. All other items appeared to be clean. Not enough stock (cups) in room, we needed to go get some. Overall it was a good stay.

My stay was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated the fact that the room was available right away. The hotel has an excellent location and is close to everything.

The breakfast was not as good as expected. First of all, I prefer reusable plates and utensils instead of disposable ones. Although they are supposed to be recycled, almost everybody - including myself - just threw them in the trash can because there are no signs where to recycle them. On the last day, I realized that there are recycle bins somewhere in a remote corner. There is also a lack of healthier food options.
