We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go, so, for us the location was perfect. We were sorry we weren’t able to add a booking at the end of our visit. At first glance, the simplicity of the breakfast was surprising. It turns out we appreciated healthy and simple. We will definitely stay at the Halliburton Inn again and will recommend it to anyone.

We were placed in the adjoining building. There was an occasion when one of us had to return to our room during breakfast. With no access to the building without the outside key, the other person was locked out and couldn’t do anything. A second set of keys would have been appreciated.

We stayed in a spacious, beautifully appointed 2bdr suite facing the street. Noise levels were minimal. The location is perfect, in walking distance to waterfront, restaurants, maritime museum, many heritage buildings, and retail area. Free parking is available on-site. Staff are super friendly, helpful and professional. Check out the Wired Monk just down the road for a great am caffeinate fix.

We didn’t give our Halliburton experience a 10 because a couple of doors need to be eased. Sticky doors aren’t uncommon for an older building, but leaving them unfixed detracts from the grandeur of the property.

Beautiful, charming hotel in a great location. Very comfortable bed. Loved the courtyard with the small pond and the music piped in. Wish we had time to sit there.

Not really a complaint, just inconvenient that the ice machine was in a separate building and we had to make a request for it at the front desk, which I never did. The internal stairs to the room were challenging with a suitcase. We took the external stairs to get to our room on the second floor. We were on the street side so the traffic was a little loud in the morning. The dresser top was warped and peeling. It was an antique, so I get it, but perhaps it could be covered up with a linen or something? Would have liked more counter space in the bathroom. The room was large enough but the side table next to the bed partially blocked the entrance to the bathroom and there would be plenty of room for the bed on the other side of the room. Just feedback - not a game changer.

Great location in downtown Halifax, walkable to everything on the waterfront. Clean, parking on site, AC, lovely sitting area, staff was very helpful with good recommendations for dining.

There was a consistent exhaust odor coming in from the central AC vents that was quite noticeable. Have no idea what caused that. Sad that Stories, the restaurant downstairs in the inn is closing with the retirement of the chef, but we had a wonderful meal there. I would be curious to know what will replace it in the future.

Great location, close to harbour and citadel and main street shops and restaurants. Lovely room, comfortable bed with nice sitting area.

Attached restaurant was closed. They had breakfast options at extra cost but not really worth the price. Coffee was supposed to be available all day but as people from rooms came and filled up flasks it was always empty even at breakfast time. Pillows weren’t the best and stairs could be an issue for some.

The Halliburton was central to all local attractions and amenities. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Quiet throughout the building. They offered breakfast in the morning where you can choose 5 food items out of 8-10 options and pick it up in the morning, that cost $10 and was perfect. Unfortunately their restaurant Stories was not opened during our stay (opened Wed-Sat) but there are plenty of restaurants around in walking distance!

Parking wasn't an issue for us since we brought back our rental the day we got into the Halliburton, but if we did have a car the parking would've been a pain. Also, not an issue for me but maybe for others, lots of stairs!!! No elevator in the building.

Beautiful historic hotel located 1.5 blocks from the harbour. Charming spacious room with a comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly helpful staff.

Hard to lug a suitcase over the multiple stairs throughout the building. No elevator available. Not suitable for guests with visual or mobility issues. Uneven floor into room. Easy to trip over. Could be easily fixed with a short ramp. Bathrm door did not close well.

Location was excellent. The old house style very attractive. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable.

I am quite tall at 6' 5" and the room on the 3rd floor had sloping ceiling by the bed, upon which I hit my head frequently. The price was way higher than I normally pay, and the facilities, although very good, don't seem to justify the price. Lamentably, I will be looking for cheaper options next time we visit Halifax.

Central location-just a few steps to waterside. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Reception 24hrs open. Parking was very easy and free of charge (it was weekend). Due to early departure we did not take breakfast

Hotel consists of main building plus 2 separate houses. Although our room was facing to the garden, it was quite loud in the night as some people were cruising with cars and bikes. However this is beyond control of hotel and normal for a central location. Balcony could not be used because chairs and table have not been cleaned.

The Halliburton was exactly what we expected. It's in a historical building located very centrally in Downtown Halifax. Staff were very kind and accommodating, even when we arrived at nearly 2am to check-in. We were able to use their parking which was very convenient. The furnishings in the room are a bit older but it fits the aesthetic of the Inn. Everything was clean and comfortable.
