Overall a pleasant place to stay. Room was huge, with separate bedroom (though separated with a louvered doors that didn't block any noise). Had a little kitchen area in case we needed to warm something up or keep it cool. Breakfast is one of the better ones we've seen in North America, with lots of choices. It's a good sized hotel so breakfast can be very busy, but we were able to get a table every morning. Finally, the location is great - walking distance to most attractions in central Halifax. Just note that it's a steep walk uphill from the harbor to the hotel.

We had a couple of issues here. The WiFi was spotty - sometimes it would work fine, other times not load at all. Required removing the server from our device and reconnecting. Even when connected, we had to repeat the login several times during our stay. Second issue was noise. The doors leak noise--we heard every door slam and conversation in the hall, including during the night. Also, there is currently a beer-garden for a nearby restaurant just down the street, with very loud music until about 11 pm on weekends. Third (minor) issue were the pillows - they were hard as rocks! Hoteliers who buy pillows should have to sleep on what they buy so they can see how uncomfortable they are.

It's at the centre of all the places we wanted to go. Walking distance to the Citadel, Public Library, and boardwalk. The food was just okay. lot's of option but doesn't include any protein except from eggs. They have connecting rooms, but the lock is not as we expected. The space would only be perfect for 3 people.. or 4 if have kids. nice view of the city. I think its quiet, didn't notice any noise during our stay. Friendly help desk!

i find it a bit expensive compared to what other hotel can offer, but maybe because we only stayed there to sleep. we haven't been to the rooftop or other facilities. There's only 3 towels in the room. Additional protein could have been much better. The basement parking was very low, had scratch on our truck because of the automatic boom barrier. there's a very minimal space to maneuver the car truck.

We always stay here when in Halifax. We had a very spacious suite with a wonderful view. Two large flat screen tvs also. Excellent leisurely breakfast with lots of choice. The price was so reasonable too - one wouldn't get accommodation in a two bit hotel in Ireland for what we paid. I love the Cambridge Suites. Fantastic location and friendly, welcoming staff.

I've had this rant before.... I don't like that abom.. trave... THING that hangs in the lobby - on the wall to the left as one enters the hotel. I can not use a three letter word to describe it because it's not that in my opinion. I must , however, confess to having uttered some four letter whammers on beholding it again. Next time I'll wear blinkers in the lobby! By the way, there's a perfectly acceptable painting, work of ART tucked away (out of sight almost) in the little shop a couple of yards away. How about...?

The service was excellent, and the location is pretty good. The room was clean and relatively spacious. We didn't end up using the microwave or the fridge, but they were there.. There's a surcharge for the parking, but as far as I understand, it is the usual thing for the city center. The complimentary breakfast was ok.

It is a very subjective thing, but the mattress was too soft for us. And there was a bit of a weird thing with the breakfast: you could have scrambled eggs or hummus, but the sausage and/or beacon were extra. The room had some complimentary tea in addition to the coffee and coffee maker, but for some reason, no kettle.

location is absolutely perfect and central downtown. the staff were all beyond polite and nice. every single staff member I came across smiled & told me to have a good day, which felt nice. check in and check out took about 30 seconds each , which was very stress-free and pleasant. the rooms are quite large, and have all the amenities you’d expect. the addition of a microwave in the room was nice too , although I didn’t use it. the views were very great from any room too. will stay again for sure!

my room wasn’t the cleanest hotel room I’ve stayed in for sure. I know housekeeping staff are working very hard and have a limited time to clean so many rooms, which I respect. But still.. also the bathroom tile was lifting near the toilet, which is nobody’s fault but the hotel owner.. looked cheap. other than that, great stay

Cambridge Suites is our "go-to" hotel when we visit Halifax. Fabulous location, access to good parking, generously sized rooms, comfortable beds and great staff! We were very impressed during our recent stay by how clean everything was! It is a well cared for property and it shows. Though it is an older building, you get the sense that management is working to upgrade things over time. We very much appreciate the sense of pride in a job well done at Cambridge Suites. Our home away from home while in Halifax! :)

Cambridge suites is an excellent hotel! One of the best in the city. Location is great, close to lots of amazing restaurants, bars, things to do. Everything is within walking distance. Parking is heated & easily accessible. The rooms are spacious, updated & clean! Employees are friendly & respond quickly to any requests! The complimentary breakfast was amazing! Lots to choose from & fresh food. We went to the hot tub at 10:30pm, it was open until 11 which is great for adults! It was quiet and relaxing. We had a great stay overall! We hope to be back 😊

I absolutely love staying in suites in hotels -- there's something really special about having a kitchenette, a door to the bedroom, a livingroom. It's home away from home. The bed was comfortable, the view was exceptional (I looked out to the Harbour), and the elevator was quick and the underground parking was safe, well lit, and worth the price. I did like that they have both recycling and garbage in the room, and the TV in the bedroom is masssssive! Such a treat. (I do wish it was a SmartTV so I could log in to Netflix, Disney+ etc).

I don't think the room was as clean as I'd hoped. Like the carpet was wet when I got there? The bathroom is ooooold and in need of more than just a fresh coat of paint. The bathtub and surround was obviously very dated and there was a hole in the bathroom wall from the doorhandle slamming into it and breaking the drywall. Also, guests need to be reminded to be quiet in the hallways; I can't tell you the number of people who shout, laugh, and speak soooo loudly when they get off an elevator. I woke up from loud guests even though I was in the bedroom with the door closed!

Cambridge Inn and Suites is our "go-to" hotel in Halifax for the best location, comfortable rooms, very good complimentary breakfast offerings, cleanliness and friendly staff.

It would be really nice if the hotel would replace their windows. It is such a lovely, convenient location but the view is hindered by the poor condition of the windows. I have recommended the hotel to many friends and family but the condition of the windows does put a damper on the referral.

Breakfast was efficient and good! Location of hotel is challenging if you are physically impaired! Walking was a little challenging because of very steep hills near our hotel walking down to the harbor! Reminds me of the very steep streets in San Francisco. Our room, we were upgraded to a better room with a beautiful harbor view because of a 1 hour delay during our checkin. We love the room! Overall we would recommend this hotel if you are in good physical shape to climb up and go down the streets to get to the beautiful harbor below. We drove down to the harbor daily and back to our hotel which has underground parking! The historic Citadel we toured, is just across the street from our hotel!
