We had a double bed room,it was a spacious,bright and very clean room!! Each room has a theme,ours was nautica. It has 3 small armchairs near the windows,a little table with a small percolator machine and a small fridge as well. There is a large smart tv,but you have to put your own account of Netflix, prime etc....wifi is provided and also AC.A thick confortable carpet on the floor. The mattresses and pillows were really soft and the quilt very thin,so if you like it more firm or need heavy blankets,you would be a bit disappointed,but we still slept very well,it was very quiet.The hotel felt safe because only clients have the key to the door entrance😉 It is perfectly situated, in walking distance of the pier,the wonderful beach and the main street,wich has various restaurants,pubs, cafe's and little boutiques. There's also a whole street filled with thrift stores for people like me who likes to find little treasures 😁 Everyone around us were friendly,greated us with smiles! You really get the feels of a small town where everybody knows the neighborhood! So if all that meet your needs,it's exactly where you should stay. We really loved it and recommand it without a doubt! ☺️

They don't have a lot of staff,but it was clearly mentioned on reservation,and we had a number we could call if needed,but we would have liked to be able to see people at a desk,we hardly saw any people for questions we had. There was no box of tissues and only half a roll of toilet paper,so maybe bring some with you😉 And the connection to our Netflix kept turning off,it was unstable. We were offered only 2 coffees,in an already small closed filter,we would have appreciated to have enough for the duration of our stay. But honestly, it's little things,we really liked the King George hotel☺️

Vanessa, the manager, was wonderful and went above and beyond. You can really tell she loves the place. She offered to take us on a tour of the building, even after her work hours, and her knowledge of the history is incredible. She's also incredibly approachable. The room was comfortable, very clean and the feeling of staying in a historical building such as this one, for a history buff like myself, was just awesome.

Can't say much here. The room got a little warm with the hot weather but the A/C unit cooled it off fine after a while.

I loved every single thing about this Inn. I used to go here as a kid with my grandpa who’s now passed away, and it used to be a restaurant. Now having it turned into an Inn is the best thing they’ve ever done with it and I’m so happy I was able to stay for 2 nights. It brought back so many memories and really meant a lot to me to stay there. The history of the place is incredibly fascinating, it’s so well kept and their honouring it’s history in such a beautiful and meaningful way. The staff and owner go above and beyond and are so friendly, kind, and caring. I can’t wait to go back! My family and I didn’t want to leave! 💕💕💕

Honestly there’s nothing that I didn’t like to be honest. It was an honour to be able to stay at this Inn, and it meant a lot for me to be able to.

Great hotel with a great feel being an old Jail. Love that they have kept the old cell bars in a lot of the rooms. Location is amazing, few steps south you are at the harbour, few steps north you are on the main street. Check-in was simple and straight forward, call the number on the door to notify them of your arrival and they come greet you at the door.

There wasn't anything that springs to mind that I wasn't happy with.

Loved the history of the jail. Enjoyed the experience of sleeping in an old jail cell. Proximity to the beach was excellent.

There was no coffee in the room just tea bags. There was not enough bathroom tissue , expected extra in the cabinet under sink. Not enough towels in the room. I would have liked more interaction with staff. I only spoke to Vanessa over the phone. I was not offered a tour of the museum and when I requested a check to see if the room was booked for Sunday( as I wanted to add a night) I never received an answer.

Lovely location! This was our second time staying here, and it was just as nice as we remembered it. The location is a perfect jumping-off point to the lovely little town that is Coburg. Located right downtown, close to all kinds of nice restaurants and good places to walk. Really appreciated the owners accommodating our late arrival.

The bed could have been a bit larger/comfier (according to my partner), but that's really us nitpicking. It was a great stay.

There is plenty of parking, and it's very easy to walk to anything downtown. The hotel itself was very quiet, to the point where you weren't sure if anyone else was there. The room was very small, but quite comfortable. Make sure you read the room description as many rooms don't have full baths. This place is very quirky with lots of vintage decor and twisty small hallways that feel like a maze. If you like unique stays, this will be perfect, but if you want a more traditional hotel it may not be quite your thing.

The room was large, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was absolutely perfect for my daughter and me. The location was excellent with wonderful restaurants and shops so close by. And being so close to the lake with it’s beautiful scenery was certainly an added bonus. Just wish our stay could have been longer and thank you so much for such an amazing experience.

I had to be very careful each time I used the stairs.

This is a very eclectic Inn devoid of pretenses and set in a most unique setting. It is an old jail which has been converted into 19 unique rooms, each with the original bars and some original bunks. If you are looking for concierge services and a restaurant, this is not the place for you. But for six people who had not seen each other for 40 plus years, this was the icing to a great experience. Vanessa, is a lovely lady, the office manager flexible, and more than accomodating . The Inn is very close to the beach and restaurants and includes free parking.

The staff is overworked and there is not a central reception area. But with a little patience it all worked out well.

We appreciated the history of the Inn and that the historic signs are displayed in the courtyard. The museum in the basement could be improved. We liked the room decor and very good comfort of the bed. A better coffee maker and quality of coffee in the room would have met our expectations of the price point. Excellent location! Everything is walkable including VIA rail station.
