Super 8 by Wyndham Peterborough

The bed was very comfy , I'm an early riser and my husband is not but when I got up in the morning the bed didn't move or make noise and wake him. The kids room was amazing, comfy bunk beds and they were so so so happy to have their own space that included their own TV with all the channels and an Xbox. Waffles at breakfast were the star of the show and actually had really good coffee.a great selection at breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.

Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working and hasn't been for a while, and I was too cold in the pool. However my family didn't mind the pool temp.. maybe it was just me. The hot water was fantastic so a hot shower did the trick. Bed pillow was too soft for my liking and you could hear footsteps from the room above.

The rooms were large and clean. The beds were very comfortable with quality, crisp bedding. The hotel has a pool we did not use as it was just a quick overnight stay but others with children enjoyed it. The location is easy in and out of Peterborough close to eateries and service stations. The hotel breakfast was sufficient for our needs.

The breakfast items could have been monitored more closely to avoid long wait time to replenish. Some of the shortage moment may have been the result of previous unseen guests over-indulging and resulting in depleted hot chaffing dishes.

This property exceeded my expectations for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and customer service oriented. The property is clean and modern. Room was outstanding, with great wi-fi and smart tv to "feel like home". Overall it was an excellent stay and I'll be staying here from now on when visiting Peterborough. Breakfast in the morning was excellent for dine in or grabbing something on the go.

All was good! The property is located a little further down Lansdowne then I'm used to going, but it's not a deal-breaker and lots of amenities nearby! Again, a great stay.

The Hotel has regular business guests that stay Monday night till Thursday night so the weekends are much lighter than normal. The King Suite with separate bed pull out couch living room is spacious and well equipped with everything desired. The General Manager Lawrence really cares about all guests and we will definitely be back next month. Great restaurants all within 4 kilometers. Highly recommend Castle John's a 5 minute walk across the street.

It was noisy from 1 AM till after 3 AM on Saturday night , but heavenly peaceful on the second night of our stay on Sunday. Get breakfast at 6 AM or you will miss out on getting a table in the small breakfast buffet room.

Lawrence GM checked us in quick. Room 406 faces West so after noon the Sun really heats up the room unless the white reflective block out drapes are closed tight. A/C was on and kept the room comfortable. Large comfortable King bed. Small fridge, microwave, Coffee maker. 3 large Towels, three hand towels and three face cloths. Hand soap, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Two Samsung 40" TVs. in living room and bedroom suite.

The Shoreline Casino has a close proximity to the Super 8 Hotel so on May 13, 2023 the next door couple got back from gambling at 1 AM then took separate showers till 2:30 AM then kept running the tap water and flushing the toilet till 3 AM. Hotels do not have sound proof rooms. There is no accounting for inconsiderate Guests. It's not the Hotels fault that people like this ruin it for everyone else. Then the second day we tried to use the pool till Teenagers ran and jumped high in the air doing dozens of Canon balls.

Having a bunk bed and Xbox in the room made the kids' experience top-notch and they are still talking about what a great time they had- in fact, this hotel was the highlight of their trip. The queen bed was very comfortable and the room was a decent size with two chairs and two tables so that we all had places to hang out together. The staff was really accommodating and we appreciated their help with our (rather numerous) requests.

The breakfast selections were quite limited, expect waffles and toasts/bagels with cereal. There were yogurt and hard-boiled eggs in the fridge but if you're looking for the full-service with scramble, you won't find it here! The pool was a tad small but the kids didn't seem to mind. It got to capacity on deck pretty quickly on the Saturday night of our stay which meant a splashy mayhem in the pool- but the kids didn't seem to mind!

Fantastic staff. We were welcomed at the front desk by a gentleman who was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. When checking out I had some questions regarding my next planned stay and a young lady was very helpful. The pool was nice. A good size for all to enjoy. Our room was a King with a Pull out couch, it was large, clean, and I loved the personal touch of a note left by clean staff.

I was expecting a little more out of the breakfast options but there was enough variety for us all to find something we liked

Enjoyed the room and the jacuzzi tub! Was a nice view and loved the greeting card from the staff, was a nice touch. The staff was great at following the expectations especially during the noisy Saturday night.

Though we recognize that it was beyond the staff's control, there were numerous children running up and down the hallways and adults converging in the hallways with drinks and loud voices. We did notice on the Saturday night that one of the front desk staff asked them to quiet down and follow the expectations, but they were very rude and disrespectful to the staff member. Even though there is a clear sign on the wall outside the elevator, these people were in the wrong. That is my only complaint and it wasn't even the hotel's problem.

The hotel ventilation was surprisingly good - CO2 was in a low range, indicating that the air was being refreshed regularly. We are still in a pandemic, and ventilation is one key way to protect one another.

Our timing was bad - renovations to the hot tub and exercise room made them unavailable. The timer on the waffle machine is flakey - sometimes works, sometimes not.

I liked where the facility was located. It was close to all amenities.

There was only 1 thing that annoyed us but it didn’t have anything to do with the facility. I would consider it beyond their control. There was a customer who had extremely loud music playing for 4 hours. It was annoying.
