This was the host hotel for a car show & convention we attended, so it was nice having dining facilities and an outdoor patio with bar right on site. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Lots of great dining and pubs within easy walking distance of the hotel. Great breakfast spot right across from front lobby. The river lock boat tour is right next door and is a fabulous excursion!

Older hotel, could use an update or refreshing. Only one elevator located at the far end of the hotel, so depending on where your room is there can be a lot of walking. Website description of "city view" is misleading if not dishonest; the "view" is that of the parking lot and stores across the street. There is a daily fee for parking on the hotel grounds, although not terribly expensive. However, our total bill was MORE than that quoted when booked, even after subtracting out the parking. Why?

Perfect location with a beautiful view. Restaurants are all within walking distance as well as beautiful walking trails. The staff were all very helpful and seemed happy to be working here. The amenities were a real bonus with an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub, pool table, foosball table, and gym. If that isn’t enough, the restaurant has a patio which is great for a late night drink or snack and even had a live band that I could listen to from my balcony. The hotel room was very spacious and the hotel went above and beyond my expectations. Rooms and hotel were in immaculate condition.

It was pretty easy to hear what was going on in the hallways as the doors weren’t very sound proof. But this is a very minor detail in the grand scheme of things as this hotel had no other issues. My room was located in the middle of the hall near an entrance so I’m sure someone staying at the end of the hall or on other floors would not have this issue.

Just about everything---we have absolutely no issue with the general facilities and the staff: the room was clean, in good condition, and quiet as well. The HVAC controls in the room were simple to operate and easy to control the temperature--unlike many older places.

I think the "pet fee" is a little much--more than any other place we've stayed--and I couldn't help noticing that the toilet (r311) was loose maybe a broken flange or just loose bolts--apparently not leaking yet, but just a little disconcerting.

We booked rooms at the hotel for our mothers funeral. We did not book directly with holiday inn, found out later there was a points system for booking directly and breakfast was included. I thought it was included in our room. Power was out overnight while we were there the last night. Hallways had generated lights. office gave us a flashlight to use in the room. Coffee was available in the morning at the lobby. We had a cup on our way out. room was clean. Staff helpful.

beautiful river near by, staff was great, kids ate dinner free at the restaurant.. even got a dessert . the girls were wonderful.

I didn’t like that they didn’t have room service, I wanted something delivered to my room around 9pm, due to my young kids sleeping I could not go down and get it, but they were unable to get it to my room for me. I also wasn’t too happy that we didn’t get the balcony room facing river that I requested. we got a room on ground floor that was facing the river but set back away from it.

I didn’t go personally, I ordered the room for someone else!!!

I did not appreciate the fact that I gifted the room to someone, and they didn’t have their credit card on them and spent 40 mins in the lobby waiting for someone to drive a credit card to them. And I didn’t even get a call!!! What an absolute embarrassment. 😡 I prepaid for the room and your reception told the guest that it wasn’t paid for!!! Booking.com gave me three payment options. I chose bill me the day of check in….!!! And for a good reason. You said my card would be charged the day of and you charged it 4 days previous!!! Not a good system through booking.com. I even indicated I was booking for someone else. You wasted precious time for the person I booked this room for. I won’t ever do it again.

It was downtown, on the water and close to everything. Would recommend it to anyone. The walking trail was along the river. We used it everyday. We never needed to take the car out once we pulled in. Beer, liquor , food, corner store Tims, lots of restaurant's, and a pharmacy.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. The bathroom was a little small. We were fine but it could be a problem if the guest was larger. Bathroom door open almost touched the toilet when opened.

The gentleman at the front desk was so cheerful and a complete pleasure to deal with.

I wasn't informed my credit card was going to be charged more than the final bill. My total was $181 and my visa was charged $281. When I called to ask, the woman said it would be sorted and it hasn't yet. I'll give it a couple more days but it was really frustrating.

Everything was great. Staff were friendly, the breakfast included had good options. The location is great for walking to a variety of locations downtown.

Our room was not "made up" or tidied during our stay (we stayed 2 nights). This would have been nice ~ just a light cleaning and bed reset would have been nice.

Everything was nice and clean and only the fire alarm woke me up Sunday morning but all and all it was a wonderful trip and stay

All of the propery was clean and ppl were well and clean and even tho the hot tube was closed and they lied I am ok with it.
