Excellent breakfast, staff good, value for the money questionable.

Information about available services or those we did not qualify for because I was not a member of the Marriott Club Program was never discussed until we attempted to use. I felt continual pressure to join the Marriott Club Program. I could not join anyway as you would not accept the correct spelling of my name, disappointing considering this is 2023. Check in was not customer related. Some staff were very pleasing to deal with following check in. I did book the stay online and felt I was making the booking direct with Delta Marriott, but learned this was not true.

Front desk staff were very helpful and kind. Staff of the Anchor & Ore were great! One server in particular was so helpful answering some questions we had about places and things in Thunder Bay. I’m not completely sure but I think her name is Aidan.

The distance to the parking lot. We are both older and my husband has extremely bad knees. The walk from the parking lot was really long in the dark and rain. Also the front entrance littered with cigarette butts is not appealing in any way. Smokers need to be much farther away from the front door and encouraged to use ashtrays. It was quite gross!

Clean, comfortable, modern, friendly, safe

The price felt very high. We had previously booked a nearby hotel that was terribly fraudulent in its advertising. Within a few mins of checking in we decided to leave and find another hotel. Yours was one of the only available properties so we felt pressured to book despite what felt like an unreasonably high nightly rate.

The breakfasts were lovely but the service was slow-understaffed perhaps. There was a “please wait to be seated” sign at the entrance to the dining area but there was no one to meet and seat guests. We just walked in and found our own seat. The sign should not have been there. It was confusing. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was good.

The room was surprisingly big and very clean. We also enjoyed the bed: the mattress was very comfortable to sleep on. A dark towel for makeup is a nice touch.

I liked everything. But if I absolutely have to give something that I didn’t like, then maybe this: There was no shower gel (only shampoo and conditioner).

The fact that my key didn't work on the morning I was leaving and under a time crunch. The key was "fixed" and still didn't work. Thank goodness that the staff member at the front desk followed my up to my room. Since I had wasted 15 min, that was much appreciated. (more time was lost as the Starbucks lobby kiosk fellow spent time in the back room searching for a spoon -for yogurt!)

I just wish the price was better And wished they had a pool and hot tub Even an outdoor pool. It would of made a difference.

The facilities were great, terrible coffee at the starbucks kiosk. Not comfortable with the elevator that seemed to malfunction. I prefer stairs and there is no direct access to the lobby

The room was awesome. We had a great partial view of the lake and marina. The beds and pillows were comfy. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service outstanding. The front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect. We could walk along the waterfront and could walk to other restaurants and bars along Cumberland and Red River Road.

Didn't like the toilet paper. It was very thin.
