Great location just on Queen street - amazing vibe and nice little cafes around. You can either take a tram to Downtown or have a lovely walk and visit lots of shops on the way. Easy to get from the airport (UP train + 1 tram). Lovely staff, always smiling and very helpful. We forgot important ring while packing and they found it, so we could pick it up later that day. Big thank you! Reception is open till 10pm but if you need late check-in, you can pay and arrive till 2am. There is a deposit of 20$ if you need a card to the main door (but if you going inside between 10am-2:00am they will open it for you, so we didn’t take the card and had no issues with the ring bell). We stayed in a private room which has the enter door from the dormitory, but we were okay with that. The room & bedding was clean and had a view on the queen street. The rooftop is a pretty cool place to chill, with the CN Tower view - unfortunately it was very windy so we didn’t use it a lot.

The showers could use an extra touch of cleaning, but if was not that bad. Bed was a little bit creaky, but comfortable.

It was exactly what I needed for two nights: a bed, a place to put my stuff, and a shower. The bed was comfortable enough for me, nobody touched my stuff, and the private (shared) washrooms were surprisingly nice. People were respectful and generally minded their own business. The deck is great. You also can't beat the location. Queen West is a very cool and safe neighborhood with no shortage of things to do, and is on a streetcar line with easy access to downtown 24/7, but I found myself staying in the neighborhood.

There was a neon sign right outside my window that was kind of annoying at night. Also the bare light bulb in my bedroom was a rude awakening when a roommate came in and turned it on in the middle of the night. Being on the top bunk meant it was right in my face. The only other minor annoyance I had was difficultly charging my phone at night because there was no power outlet at the top bunk level. Bring a long cable.

Nice location, everything needed was in the apartment. There were plenty of stores around to do groceries, restaurants and the streetcar stops directly in front of the door, quite practical for touring the city.

The apartment is not at the same location as the main building (a 20mn ride or 30mn walk) which would have been nice knowing beforehand rather than carry the luggage all over the city. However, because the building is pretty old I guess, the bathroom door gets swollen with the shower's humidity, and I got stuck in the very small bathroom for a full hour, trying to blow dry the lock and waiting. After that, we never closed the door again when using the shower or toilet.

I liked the room and the kitchen. The location was very convenient from the intersection of Queen Street and Dufferin. Very recommended for the mall nearby and the parkette. The shower was very warm and the bed was comfortable. The neighbourhood was quiet and the amenities as is. The studio room I got was very quaint. I was able to sleep and I was able to cook breakfast. A+++

There was a stink in the room, the kitchen fridges were messy. The curtain had no closure. The mini fridge in the room was not working.

Large spacious reception lounge, rooftop areas, spaces for food and good kitchen, dining area, washrooms always available, there were 2 in our room, enough space to put luggage. Everyone was respectful, quiet at night. Good night light and recharging at each bed. Great building. Close to tram stop.

Very smelly old carpet to go upstairs at entryway to reception but good after that. I enjoyed my 3 day stay. Funky area . Only one sheet given.

I really liked the cost, the size of the space, and the place turned out to be surprisingly nice once I got used to it. (And figured out how to get the AC to work.)

It was really hot when I came in, it is super sparse (which is fine) but even some rudimentary decoration would make it feel much nicer- not expensive stuff, just hostel style decor. The location was cool, but outside was pretty unsafe with lots of unhoused people. Parking was impossible.

If you are a solo traveler with an appreciation for hipster life and culture this is a great and affordable hotel to stay in. I appreciated the Toronto cultural references in the Hotel e.g. maps, books, art and museum books. I have visited Canada 4 times, this being my 4th time. I felt that because I stayed at this hotel, I had a better understanding and experience of Toronto tourism and life. The staff were really cool, friendly and positive. I really recommend this stay for students and solo travelers.

Yes I ordered a hostel 0ct 15 - 19 but after two nights spent in the hostel I had to leave for my permanent place of residence for family reasons. Can I count on a refund of the remaining costs...? ...regards....your regular customer

It was a perfect stay for us. The only thing we didn’t like is the extra fees for late check in. We were travelling from montreal and missed the flight so we had to check in late. We had to pay 15$ extra which didn’t make any sense for us. Other than this everything was great.

Extra charge for late check in. We booked at 10 pm and checked in at 10:30 pm. Why is the late check in fees.
