Location was amazing, near so many things and transit stations. And even though I had booked a 14 people room, it didn’t feel crowded because the room was big and well laid out. I loved that the showers/bathrooms were inside the room so we didn’t have to leave the room to get ready.

The location of the property was spot on. It was 15 minutes walk from Union Station which made it easy to access the UP Express to Toronto Pearson Airport, also 5/10 minutes to the CN Tower, Blue Jays Stadium and Ripleys Aquarium. The rooms were warm and there was always hot running water. Continental breakfast was a great addition.

I was a little worried about the homeless site in front of the hostel as i am a female travelling alone and when i arrived late at night walking from the station, it just caught me a little off guard as there was no mention of this on any other reviews. It wasn’t an issue just would have been good to have a heads up but everything was ok. Having not stayed in a hostel before, a few more instructions would have been great as i felt i was bothering the people on the front desk with my questions.

Amazing location and comfy bed!

Breakfast was fairly basic and the kitchen wasn't super clean, but it was manageable

3rd time I stay there. Location is prime. Cleanliness of the premises is impeccable. Comfort of the bed is amazing for a bunk-bed. The new complimentary breakfast idea is great!

The bathroom of the multi-bed dormitory suite I stayed in this time had a very low ceiling so one must watch out. The kitchen of that suite had a rusty can opener that broke immediately! But for the location and the price, who cares?! :)

The breakfast was basic, but good. The location can't be beat, especially for the price (few blocks from the CN tower). WiFi worked well everywhere. Lots of different hangout locations, and incredible kitchen. Loved that there was free filtered water. The security guy who works at night is incredible! He was the only employee who cared about the customers. He went above and beyond one night when one of the girls in my all female dorm brought back a guy from the concert she went to.

The rest of the staff. They were pretty indifferent. When I checked in, the guy was annoyed that I asked for directions to my room (which weren't even clear). It's also very busy, so it can be crowded and chaotic at times

Location - close to CN tower, in the heart of downtown. Easily found a supermarket and a dollar store nearby. Bed - comfortable mattress, if only the lamp was not broken! Bathroom - small but enough size to get things done. It was just a little awkward that the shower was in the bedroom and had to communicate with a stranger who takes shower first, but not a big issue. Room - stayed in 4 people mixed dormitory and liked how specious the room was. I and my friend used the bank bed and the other beds were placed far enough. Good privacy with curtains too. Kitchen - cute little kitchen with two sinks. There is only one long table to sit and eat there, which allows you to mingle with other travelers :) Later on I noticed there was another common room near the entrance. Common space - comfortable couch and nice photo books! I’m glad I got to see another version of my favorite photo book “People of New York.” Breakfast - we didn’t even know it was included in the price, so it felt like a big win! Good variety of toast, cereal, quick oats and fruits.

Check in time flexibility - reception closes at 9pm. Fair enough but had to rush because we were in Niagara Falls <3 Next morning the reception was not open yet, couldn’t ask questions either. Lamp in the bed - couldn’t use because the cable was lost. Good thing is there was a table lamp in the room which I borrowed for a night.

I love the location close to downtown. It's a few streets away from Front St West which leads to the major places. I love the homely feel of it. The reception/waiting area is very clean and looked welcoming. The rooms were a good size and had curtains. I met all my expectations including distance to downtown Toronto. It's about 10-15 minutes walk to Union station depending on your pace, it's less than 5 minutes to the Blue Jays Shop Stadium. About 7-10 minutes away from Ripley's Stadium and CN tower. I'll say great value for money for a place near Downtown Toronto.

I didn't get to have the breakfast offered but it seemed very basic

Kitchen, fridges Co.mon room, flavored water, ice tes coffee availability.

The noisy ac? Unit pumping out hot air out, didn't work well Windows weren't able to opened. Perhaps a standing floor fan would work better at circulating the air. The blond receptionist was many times curt with guests, plus berating & yelling at staff, in front of guests Very rude & umprofessional.

It's not luxury and you'll probably end up sharing the room while sleeping in bunk beds but the price is excellent and can't be beat. I stayed there fifteen years ago and I loved it so much then that I had to book it again when I had to visit Toronto in 2023. Saving money on lodging made me appreciate my whole visit in town even more, since I could spend more elsewhere if I wanted to. I loved the location; everything is under 20-30 minutes on foot, and it's next to the tramway line and not far from the city bus line. The place is clean and quiet (it's not like a commune or a backpacker's hotel, but more like a bed & breakfast). And there's a cute park just in front of the hotel, with a beautiful view of the CN Tower. The free breakfast was appreciated, too!

Note that I only had to interact with the staff for check-in and for check-out. But I felt they lacked warmth (no smile, no chat or banter or asking about my stay). They did do their job professionally none-the-less. Maybe they just have a "hands-off" approach, since guests can walk in and out as they please, as well as use the kitchen or living room area freely, while they are staying at the hotel. It's not a dealbreaker at all, though (since you really only have to check-in and check-out), and it could be attributed to a number of factors. I either expected too much, or got unlucky in these moments!

The hostel is in a very accessible place and in downtown, all attractions are within walking distance, Union station within 20 minutes, so ideal. The room is really beautiful, the bunk beds are comfortable and spacious, very well equipped and the common areas also comfortable, a great possibility to use luggage storage. Clean and well secured. Maximum satisfaction. A small ordinary breakfast is included in the price from 8-10am.

Overall satisfaction, only the table in the kitchen, even if it is kind of big, cannot accommodate everyone for breakfast or dinner. In front of the hostel, the homeless people are camping in the park , but there was absolutely no problem with them, just for to known.
