Hotel Bonaparte

We thoroughly enjoyed the Bonaparte hotel. It is a small hotel with a very accommodating staff. The rooms are charming even equipped with a hidden ironing board…very cute. The morning breakfast, which is creatively delivered to your door, is good and filling. We also enjoyed a very good meal at its excellent restaurant. The hotel is well situated and quite close to many restaurants and the starting point for many of the walking tours. This is also the perfect hotel if you come to Montreal prior to a cruise. It is an easy five minute walk down hill to the cruise port.

There was nothing to dislike.

We loved so much about this hotel! The location was perfect for all the walking we did around Montreal. The staff…top notch!! We had drinks in the bar every night and loved the atmosphere. We did not eat at the restaurant but could hear guests talking about how delicious the food was. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast left outside the door every morning was wonderful (I could stay in pajamas while starting the day with coffee, fruit, and pastries, along with the occasional eggs and cheese). We would absolutely stay here again!!

STAY 2 NIGHTS IN SAME ROOM 1. FIRST NIGHT $345 2. SECOND NIGHT $421...not happy with no pre-information? Why did rates change and NO ONE told me? BALCONY VIEW TERRIBLE...could not use due to bees everywhere & view of buildings under construction! BEES IN ROOM...could not open windows! NOISY HALLWAYS... AIR CONDITIONER BROKE DURING 1st AFTERNOON - without no warning from front desk

The hotel is in a perfect location! Charlie, at the front desk, is amazing as well as the staff. Charlie answered all my questions: recommendations fir restaurants and things to do in the area and also a local dentist to accommodate my emergency. The welcome Prosecco toast, lovely breakfast baskets each day added a nice touch too. The hotel is so clean and sophisticated. I felt like we were staying in a Parisian hotel. Thank you for a super time and making my first time in Montreal a memorable one!

Hotel Bonaparte is an outstanding boutique hotel in Old Montreal. Luc, the Concierge, was superb and made our stay terrific. The Restaurant Bonaparte (one of the top ten in Montreal) was incredible: exceptional menu, excellent wines and the mushroom ravioli was absolutely wonderful. The restaurant has three dining rooms, each giving a very unique feel, one with a fireplace which was delightful on a cold, snowy January evening. The restaurant Maitre d' was very gracious and the restaurant staff were very attentive, always smiling and doing everything to help make our dinner a very special evening.

The basket breakfasts were very enjoyable. The windows actually opened! The shower was the best of any hotel inhave stayed in this far with a rain shower head and a regular shower on the side. The location of the hotel was excellent, just around the corner from the Notre Dame Bascillica. Walking distance from beautiful shops and restaurants. Staff was very accommodating and assisted us in ordering us a taxis and provided bottled water for our day.

Check in was great with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Merci ! The Service, food and red wine at the restaurant was par excellence !

Nice to have had the option for a hot breakfast but I was told that due to Staffing shortages this was revised to a basket breakfast placed by the room door which was very cool. Also, I asked and received the great tasting coffee from their coffee machine in the restaurant.

Location was perfect. In the heart of Old Montreal. Cobble stone streets, a few minutes away from various cafe’s for my morning coffee, around the corner essentially from Norte Dame Basillica. Walked to Old Port within 15 mins and on an adventurous day we walked downtown for shopping 25 mins. Breakfast outside the door in the morning was a lovely continental. Room was spacious. Loved the window sil - it opened on 4th floor and my daughter read in the window at night. Hardwood floor and mini fridge was great. would stay again in a second. Had nice French restaurant attached however we did not go - pricy to take a teen vegitarian! But the staff made other great suggestions for us.

Breakfast was delicious and just enough to start the day - choice of orange and grapefruit juice was great - very clever way to do breakfast Staff was extremely friendly and professional - special thanks to Xavier for his help and sense of humor!!

Could have more diverse selection of white wines by the glass Possibly easier to figure out TV Neither of these affect the overall high score for this hotel as they are personal issues… lol…
