keep up with your cleanliness! This is the first hotel I can think of that did not trigger my allergies when using your blankets and pillows! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Amazingly enough, many of the places or attractions we wanted to visit were all within walking distance, which allowed us to enjoy the weather and culture of the city. We loved our stay.

It would have been nice if booking.com could flag that this was a price that did not include breakfast and give us the option to include breakfast. We still enjoyed walking the city and finding morning pastries. The view out the windows were not great but I also understand that we were in the city with limited spaces and views.

This is a gem. The location is ideal as the hotel is a stone's throw from most of the sites in the old town. It is also very close to a metro station. You can also walk to the downtown area fairly easily. The hotel itself is lovely. There is nothing bland or cookie cutter about it at all. It is filled with paintings, photos, sculptures, and interesting furniture. Our room was spacious and exceptionally comfortable. The continental breakfast was perfect - coffee and pastry - without being fussy. The staff were all very friendly. It is a welcoming place. For me, and this is a matter of taste, the best thing was the music in the public areas. A wonderful selection of vintage blues songs. Perfect!

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel on our vacation to Montreal and were very pleased. The location was near perfect, one could walk to most everything with the hot spots of old Montreal no more than five to ten minutes away. The hotel itself is beautiful with art pieces displayed in seemingly every nook. The rooms were very large and comfortable as was the bed. Our room had a large inviting window too, though the view was only of a nearby rooftop. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The lobby and small bar were also both accommodating and a great place to relax among the art displays. Nearly the perfect stay!

The only thing that disappointed us was the breakfast. I understand that the hotel is still adapting after the pandemic, but for a hotel of this price range and comfort level, 2 small pastries, coffee and juice is less of a breakfast than one gets in most cheap motels and roadside inns. I hope they can get the breakfast up to decent continental level at least, perhaps some fruit and cereal, maybe even some meat options. I will say the breakfast room was, as with all the rooms and areas, very impressive.

Super location + cool neighbourhood; nice large rooms and great comfortable beds; chic decor. I also appreciated the staff - I’m not sure why people are saying the front desk staff aren’t kind but that is definitely not the case. I found staff to be very approachable, speaking in either En/Fr, and each time I needed support with something they offered help.

For the steep price paid, I would expect that a breakfast offered is more on par with what other nearby hotels offer. I was quite surprised that given the fact that it was an overall nice hotel, the morning pastries were not the most nutritious and it would be so nice to see some eggs, fruit, and yogurt made available. One other aspect to note is that rooms could be a bit cleaner.

Charming boutique hotel in fabulous location in the old part of Montréal. LHotel is the most interesting hotel we’ve ever stayed in with a wonderful private art collection lining all the walls - you feel you could be staying in an art gallery. The building used to be a bank - so the rooms are very spacious with long windows and high ceilings and they have been decorated with period furniture and gorgeous lamps and more art works. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the bed was fabulously comfortable and very welcome after a long flight. The hotel staff were also friendly and very helpful. We are so pleased we chose to stay at LHotel and would recommend it without hesitation.

The location was convenient and within walking distance to many sights. The basic charm/architectural features of the hotel were wonderful.

The overwhelming collection of modern and contemporary art that seemed to be hung or placed wherever there was an available inch of space, especially in the crowded lobby was terribly distracting. There was no evidence of a professional curators touch. All these pieces took away, greatly, from the charm of the historical building, inside and out, and cheapened it. A wooden cover fell off the wall (room 208) exposing pipes and insulation. Furniture had missing or broken handles.

Ideal location for visiting Montreal: in Old Montreal, just two blocks from the Basilica, but on a quiet street away from noisy bars or other activities. Our room looked out on the main street but not much noise. Room was large, with the bathroom around a hall from the bed so didn't disturb each other when visiting the bathroom at night. Bed was large and comfortable. Air conditioning worked well and was easy to control. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was pretty simple, just a couple of rolls, juice and tea/coffee. We ended up getting breakfast elsewhere a couple of mornings.

Friendly and welcoming staff! There always seemed to be someone at the desk. I loved the lobby, room, and hallway decor. I had a very comfortable bed and a large room. Everything was very clean. I enjoyed the bathtub! The location was very good unless you want a lot of "nightlife." The lobby was very relaxing with easy chairs. The hotel had a lot of "character" compared to many other places in which I have stayed. Enjoyed the "end of day" drink at the hotel bar.

NOTE: With these "dislikes" I would definitely stay here again! There was only one little soap for both sink and bathtub. Should be one for each area. There was no coffee or refrigeration in the room. Coffee and water in the lobby was not always there (unpredictable ) during daytime and early evening hours. The breakfast pastries and croissants were very good as was the coffee and juice, but there was little else (e.g. yogurts, eggs, warm-plate options).

The location and the staff were amazing. It is situated in the beginning of Old Port and between two Metro stations. So accessibility to transportation was very easy. The rooms were spacious with very high ceilings. It was clean and organized and I would totally recommend the hotel for the money.

There are two things that I wish where a bit different. I wish the rooms had a bit more lighting, there were not enough lights in the room and I guess this is a personal preference. I wish I had chosen a high level room, possibly on the second floor and above, this falls on me but at some points at night and this is during a 2:30-3:30am period where you could on occasion hear people screaming on the street.

The staff is extremely service oriented, friendly, welcoming, and professional. The hotel building has charm and the area feels safe and easy to walk and visit attractions as well as a good business base. Love that there is a bar in the lobby and the surprisingly good modern art pieces hanging all over. The breakfast is basic but good for a quick grab and go. Lots of bcaffws around for more options. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and would come back.

The amenities in the room are a bit outdated, no usb slots anywhere, and the bedside table lamps were huge and wonky (you must get up to turn off lights). The furniture and especially rugs were a but dated, but they also gave it a certain charm. The bathroom sink had no water pressure for warm water but cold water was fine. The shower pressure was fine, too. The bathroom facilities were outdated and the floor had a few cracks but it was clean.
